I checked into the hotel thinking that Ramada was a step above most hotels. As soon as I checked in the lady at the desk told me that breakfast was to order. At that moment I asked the lady if she would refund me my money so I could go to another hotel. I explained that I have never stayed at a hotel where you had to order your breakfast that was decent. She asked the manager and the manager said that I would need to contact hotels.com to ask for a refund. We all know how that would have worked out.
I went to bed and there was water running down some pipes in the wall all night. On one side of the hotel was a highway and on the other side were the train tracks. Train came through twice that night.
I got to the order breakfast. They made the breakfast individually so you would have thought it would be good. The hash brown was like a hockey puck. The toast was at least three or four days old as the crust was hard as a rock. The over easy eggs were not over easy as you can see by the pictures.
This has got to be the worst hotel in Whitecourt by far. I wish the manager had agreed to refund me my money but he did not. His attitude sums up the entire hotel experience.
I would rather sleep on the corner of the street than stay at this hotel again.

Checking in to the property was very nice , but the area is quite run down and dated. We had chosen this hotel as it advertised 2 restaurants and a bar/lounge. That was because we knew it was a long holiday weekend and it may be difficult to find an open restaurant. None of these options were indeed open.

This hotel was very noisey as the train for the lumber mill went by every hour during the night and would blow his air horn every time. My room was situated by the back entrance and i could hear this door slam all morning as the mill workers left for work. There was a theft on the balcony one morning. Breakfast staff were great.

TV remote missing or not working. Room chairs have stains. Not enough towel or cups. Breakfast is limited to "kg" or 1 per person and kitchen staff unprofessional. No milk for kids. Looks like a run down business. Better close down rather than offering discounted room and compromising quality and service. Disappointed for the line Ramada.

Place is dirty. Get to room and someone left a poop in the toilet. Tried flushing and it overflowed in bathroom. Left immediately. Not going back.

Back doors broken leading us to have to walk through the entire hotel to our room in the back, plumbing broken in room, shower curtain was still dirty, pests in hotel, hotel in poor condition. Staff went above expectations and were the only positive pary of an otherwise terrible experience

Well to start, there was black mold all over the wall in the hall so that was terrible.
The carpet in our room was FULL of animal hair so they definitely aren’t vacuuming properly.
At 8:45 pm I went to order something from the restaurant there, and they were closed, so that was inconvenient.
Our room was by the exit door which was great because we have a baby, we were in a ball tournament and we had a lot of things to bring in and out. Except the room keys don’t work for that door, so that was really inconvenient.
There’s patch work everywhere. Honestly this hotel either needs a complete renovation or to be torn down completely.

This hotel is very dated and maybe nice to stay in a pinch, but I would look elsewhere is you wany something nice. The property is quite old and the rooms are a bit rundown. The Bed was an older coil mattress that was way to bouncy for my wife and I. There was no open kitchen so we had to order food in. It was pet friendly which was nice as we do have a small yorkie that we travel with. The room was clean, but as I said, very dated. We were told there was no AC in the room we chose which we thought would be fine as it is not hot out yet, but they failed to mention that the windows did not open, and the heat was stuck on causing the room to be very warm and stuffy. They did supply as with a fan thankfully, but if we had known how warm the room was, I would have accepted the room swap. All in all, it was OK but I doubt we will stay there again.

The staff’s amazing the Manager Joan is the best ever but the Breakfast was a bit off we heard the kitchen is under new management which I believe will be bad for the reputation of the Hotel that’s just my opinion

What a dump. Only good thing was the service. Completely rundown. Holes in walls. My bed wasn’t even made when I checked it. The breakfast buffet was brutal. Everything was cold. They didn’t even have stuff to heat the food when it was on the line. The pillow sucked. The bed was rock hard. Right by the train tracks. Won’t be back.

It was average basically, King bed was nice and comfortable. Trying to turn the shower on was a major challenge (weird setup). Furniture in room weren't placed well. Shortage of plugs and one lamp didn't work, making things dark and hard to see. Couldn't use computer because of these problems. Having no restaurant was a disappointment as this was an advertised amenity. Other than these issues, Staff were helpful and Breakfast was exceptionally good. We may be back when if in the area and renovations are finished.
