Stayed in the older part of the hotel; room109. Was outdated ; dirty ,worn out carpet, bathroom caulking dirty.
Needs a renovation before it can come close to a 84 rating.
Showed pictures to manager and she said she would ensure the housekeeping was improved but house keeping is not the problem, It needs some upgrading.

Amazing staff, hotel is old, weird layout, weird rooms and felt sketchy. My daughter loved the pool during the day with sunlight coming in, felt creepy in the evening. No hot tub, but fun slide into the pool. Great location across the street from the mall.

Holiday Inn Express on 50 Ave Red Deer is a good location. Across the street is the mall and Moxie’s restaurant is just 3 minutes walk. Suite was very clean and king size bed was comfortable. Good air conditioning too. Filipino attentive receptionists were kind and friendly. Shoutout to Marlon and Jamie for the amazing breakfast.
One thing I dislike about was you can hear the conversations from the people walking by my suite.
Otherwise it’s a good stay experience.

We arrived quite late but the front staff was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for the night. In the morning we went for breakfast which had many delicious options to choose from. Both the staff at the breakfast bar and the front desk were once again very friendly to deal with. The room we had was clean and quite spacious. The hotel was close to a lot of shopping as well. We will definitely stay there again.

Fairly good hotel. The hotel is already dated. We did not appreciate your front desk staff calling us because we weren’t able to check in on time. We asked the staff why is there a need to call us if we are coming. She said it is their company policy to call the guest. The hotel stay was already paid for regardless we arrive or not.

Our regular hotel when we're in the city. The staff is always amazing. We always request an accessable room for my disabled husband and their accessable rooms are not only well laid out, but well situated (I've been to hotels where they're on higher floors at the far end of the hotel. These ones are main floor and the first rooms). Accessable parking is right outside your room. I can't say enough about the amazing staff. Everytime we're in town, it is like coming home!

The pool was quite small - whenever someone went down the slide everyone was splashed and you had to watch, but overall the kids really enjoyed the pool. It looks like there used to be a hot tub in the pool area - would make it better if there still was!
Our room was mostly clean and very spacious. It was nice having a bigger room traveling with kids. I found the air fresheners to be a bit over powering.
Breakfast was pretty good! Def some ants around but when brought up to the attendant they cleaned them up immediately.
Laundry was available - $3 for washer and $3 for dryer. No unscented options available.

Excellent cleaning and breakfast. The charge you 200 as deposit but will refund you when checkout. It’s a family hotel so don’t expect a quiet place but in general it’s a good place to stay and go outside. It has an small desk and coffee station in you room so you can drink hot beverages and work a little bit.

The ladies that worked at the front desk were just fantastic. It is an older hotel. It’s clean and Quiet. Was the standard Free breakfast. Probably the hottest showers I’ve had in a long time in the hotel, which was nice

In this day and age there should be a plug in for CPAP beside every bed. There was not.
The air conditioning was pathetic and barely worked and never did drop the temperature to a pleasant degree. We sweated all night.
We got a phone call from the front desk after 10""30 when we were in bed asleep. They told us a disturbence upstairs was loud and the cops were coming. We didn't hear anything.
The parking lanes are at least 5 inches too narrow. You can't walk between parked cars with your bags, and your door bangs the adjacent vehicles. Why so small?
The hallways are dingy.
The staff had no room with double beds, despite us calling several days before to arrange it. They had no record of our call and we even had the name of the individual who talked to us.
Not a good stay and we won't be back to this hotel.

We rented a room for the night, to have a comfortable nights sleep in an ac room. It’s been so hot the last few weeks and our house was uncomfortably warm. Upon check in to the room, we discovered that our room did not have ac. There was a portable unit, and that didn’t even work. The room was hotter than even our house. Went down to reception to get a new room and was told to wait for assistance. At least 30 min later, we ended up just checking out and going home.
When we had originally walked in to the hotel, we noticed that It does need some updating and maintenance. But we really didn’t care about looks. Our main priority was a cool room.
