No wifi upstairs. Also can improve the areas

This is the most TERRIBLE place I have ever been to in the most dangerous section of Rio! It looked almost nothing like the pictures! Everything that could have a stain on it, DID have stains on it, this includes the bed sheets, the bed cover, the pillow cases, the walls, the floors, the toilet, the shower…EVERYTHING. There was a bug crawling under my sheets upon checking into the room! I took a video and showed the guys at the front desk, who didn’t speak ANY English by the way. I then switched rooms. My second room had even worse stains than my first room. Outside the window was cigarette buts, spit and ashes from someone smoking. I took pictures and showed this to the front desk as well. They never cleaned outside the window. They ONLY have Wi-Fi in the lobby and they kick you off the Wi-Fi every few minutes so there is NO REAL WI-FI ACCESS!?!? I booked for 7 days, but had two sleepless nights there due to the bug situation in my sheets in the first room. I decided to check out after two nights and request a refund for the 5 nights that I booked but wouldn’t be there. My request for refund was denied by management. They also charged me additional taxes upon checking into the room which is NOT mentioned in the ad on Expedia for this “hotel”! No other hotel or hostel has done this to me in Rio! Also the breakfast was the most horrible thing I have ever smelled or tasted! This place is NOT tourist friendly and the staff seem xenophobic! I will be leaving a YouTube review!

The reception is very kind but everything in the hotel horrible broken air conditioning tree days room not clean n210 horrible breakfast anly ham and cheese and bread old not fresh I had bad experience the first and last time

Awful conditions overall. This is not even a one star hotel.

This is absolutely the worst hotel I've been to in 35 countries of travel. This was probably the equivalent of a jail. The bed sheets have stains on it. Didn't have all the beddings on the bed. There was a complete vomit stain right next to the bed. I ran out of this place as soon as I got in. I really don't think hotels.com should Host this hotel. too many negative reviews and I think this hotel is gone far enough!

Customer service was good. It’s an outdated and maintain ancient building. It doesn’t have Wi-Fi in the room. It’s the worst place I’ve ever stayed.

First of all the hotelwas hard to find, because the name outside is still Hotel Centro...there is no parking at all. On the phone they where rude and slow WIFI is just available in the small lobby. The location is good, near the beach (maybe 15 min) and surrounded by shops. But the room wasn’t clean at all (lotta hair and other weird dirty things, I didn’t even wanna know what it was) They didn’t clean our room and at the reception they don’t care at all. We didn’t risk to try the breakfast.

The breakfast is terrible. The fruits are limited and doesn’t have sausage or bacon available. Where’s the cake? The tax is very expensive for the service offered.

Someone enter inside mi room and stolen all the money from inside mi package.. They broked personal things. They treatment me and my friend really bad. They insult us. The hotel were dirty, everything broken, the breakfast, wifi, air conditioner a dissasterrrrrrr!!! And gerent told us that if we continuos with the reclamais.. they will kick us out of the hotel. We had to move on to another hotel and paid another one. The worst experience ever.. they have to close that disgusting place with bad people!

Constant noise making from party goers throughout the nights. Windows are not sealed and cannot be closed completely. We were greeted with representatives that were not bilingual we had to depend on google translator during the entire stay. We were initially placed in a room on the 9th floor that was the size of an inmates’ cell once the door shut we were unable to reopen it. we had to call the front desk and request someone open the door. they attempted several times all the while we were trapped in the room for more than an hour. Then we insisted to be relocated to another room. Warning advertised features and pictures do not correlate with what is on the premises. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms. Antiquated modem. Sheets were very thin and ripped when touched. The damage had been done. We became sick from the smell and the mildew and dust of the building. The bath towels were dirty and dingy. These towels were presented in a plastic sealed bag as if they had been cleaned and sanitized properly. They look like they did not smell fresh and clean. These towels looked as if they were used to clean the floors with, rinsed out dried and given back to the hotel guest. The front desk staff did not were clean attire and did not appear to tidy. Water was scorching hot as if there was no regulator on the thermostat. One more thing, the elevators did not always work. It’s a shady and shifty establishment that I would not recommend to anyone visiting Rio De Janeiro, Brazil

Perfect location for the purpose of our trip, easy access to night time events, sightseeing, subway. The room had three identical beds what was important in the situation of sibling rivalry between teenagers. Very good breakfast, the staff was willing to help with everything and we enjoyed our week long stay.

The location is good however; this hotel is garbage... Its very outdated. Pay the extra $20 per night and be comfortable somewhere else.
