the staff was not friendly at all. Only the person at check in was nice to us. Everyone else, servers, bartenders, cleaning crew, were always rushing us during our stay and not friendly. I also had a very disgusting situation at one of the restrooms by the pool closer to the Colonial Buffet. The bathroom had poop on the walls and the door.

Perfect all inclusive resort. Many Different choices in food, different excursions offered. The beach was perfect and the drinks were always flowing. Always a party. If you’re looking for a good time in the DR, RIU is the spot.

The staff and beaches make it amazing. So welcoming and helpful. The drinks were made really well and kept flowing. I would like more trasportation to different areas in on the property. A service of pick up from the hotel at the airport. Some more food choice a little more authentic to DR. Over all a great experience.

The multiple selection of food gave it a unique and plesant way to eat. The employer gave personalize expirience with each guest. Would visit again soon.

The room we stayed at had a horrible smell. It smelled like urine. The towels had a very bad smell too. We asked them to come clean it. They said they would but never did. We ended up switching to a different hotel because we couldn't sleep at night inhaling the terrible smell in our room.

The staff here was amazing very nice we a group of 15 people and every night for dinner got seated together when the staff notice we were in the restaurant the only complain I have was the food was a little cold at times and the drinks was taste like syrup soda, Lemonade, the cranberry juice from the bar was the best, But other than that the amenity the entertainment and the Riu party was excellent.

They need to do better! This a family resort which means kids, the elderly! They don’t provide no transportation on the grounds to get you around on the resort, they place you so far from everything, they don’t have elevators, no room service! In the rooms the only give you towels you have to call several times before they finally bring you any wash cloths. They give some very flat pillows i have called numerous times to get more pillows no one ever showed up. The food is very repetitive and some days they were ok others it was horrible. The pools were nice my son enjoyed that, the staff are up and down some are nice some or rude. For this to be a RIU i definitely expected better

Overall, the resort was very nice! Of course, the rooms/buildings could use updating but all we did in the room was shower and sleep so that didn't matter to us. The water park is about a 10 minute walk from the resort so be prepared that you won't be able to let your older kids walk by themselves like we have at other resorts with waterparks. Our biggest complaint was the food. The food was pretty terrible. I definitely did not need to worry about gaining weight. We've been to plenty of Rius before and did not have this problem. The Ocean was BEAUTIFUL! The beach has plenty of chairs.

Air Con in the rooms was not operational during stay for two days. Could only charge cell phone at a time. Most of the fans in the restaurants did not work making it too hot to enjoy meals. Fans throughout the resort did not work either. No ATM on the grounds. You could only use cash, no credit cards werfe accepted. The Pools were unsanitary.

Overall, it was an average stay. We had outlet issues, clogged sink, and noticed some mold in the room. Dinning staff was friendly and welcoming. Our kids enjoyed the water park and pool.

The drinks were terrible. The people were unwelcoming. The hotel was not taken care of the way it should have been. There was garbage everywhere. Food was not all that. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The photos need to be updated, the rooms are old looking.my first room smell so bad and dusty. I went two days without a working tv, still never got a replacement phone. They need to have someone to explain where things are when you arrive so you don’t look all so confused.

The property was ok, the towels had a mildew smell and the pool was never clean. There was a dog that popped and they didn't clean it up good enough, they picked up the top and didn't clean the ground you can still see the smudge. The back rooms 5000 & 6000 was like they own community and was not clean like the front entrance where everyone enters at.

We came back from spending time in the pool, to come to find a couple who was let in our room by housekeeping , when I said why would you let people in our room she said she was cleaning ... the room was cleaned already. I felt unsafe the whole night and worried when I left my room again that it could happen again
