My adult daughter and I took this trip and loved it! We are Muslim and don't drink alcohol or eat pork. We were given a letter to take with us to the dining area and the staff was very good about showing us what had alcohol or pork in the food. Chef Omar was awesome. He cooked us a special dinner when we booked our reservations to Las Palamas. Normally, he works Casa Bella, the buffet area. The buffet food is very good overall, esp the fresh seafood and sushi. The Mexican fiesta-where the buffet was outside, was rather bland, but the entertainment was great. The beach party buffet was better. It was really lovely, having mocktails in the pool and jacuzzi. I do wish the resort had thought to put the jacuzzi by the adult only pool however, as the kids kept getting in it. The sign saying 18 and older only didn't work. The staff took out the beer from our mini fridge at our request and kept it stocked with diet Pepsi, which was great! The resort offered shows every night, but we only went to the magic show, which was spectacular! They have rotating vendors on site nightly, and Augustina, by the adult pool daily Mon-Sat. She offers premade souvenirs, or you can paint your own and she will detail it, elevating it to a work of art. Camelia did ceramic bowls and I painted a candle holder and a wooden spoon rest, A relaxing day painting and she turned mediocre work into fabulous art. She is wonderful! Marival Emotions is terrific with spectacular scenery and kind and helpful staff.

We had a great time at Marival resort, loved all the different options for dinner. The staff were very friendly, warm and helpful.

I was so very happy with my stay here! The entire hotel is spotlessly clean, the room was comfortable and quiet. The pools were awesome and once we figured out the times all the different restaurants were open and closed food was easy to find and plentiful. La Bamba was our go to for lunch and had a beautiful view of the beach, and the cassa Bella buffet had great food for breakfast. Jose at the Amalfi restaurant (which had amazing Italian food) was the best server we had in the restaurants he was so entertaining for our son. The food at the other restaurants was delicious as well. The M&M martini bar was our fave place for martinis, the coconut martini is the best, though the chocolate and espresso martinis were also great, the server Dalia was very attentive and happy to chat with us. The themed days were so fun and had everyday feel like a new adventure. Louis and the entire animation team were so fun everyday with activities at the pool side for kids and adults. The Pizzeria was a great place to grab some snacks too. If I had a complaint, the hot tub was really cool for the last couple days of our stay, where before it had been super hot and amazing. Not sure why the temperature change??? Also it would be nice if the swim up bar was open later.

I found the staff to be uninformed when asked questions around the property - whether for directions, menu assistance, or general order of things; many did not understand basic English, and some were quite rude. Quality customer service was lacking. Food was abismal. The Expedia ad for the resort was falsely advertised, some restaurants and beach cabanas were inaccessible without additional payment. Would not recommend.

The property was clean the La Carte restaurants were good unfortunately the booking process was terrible. They booked Sunday mornings line ups were long which led to s disappointment because they filled up quick.

10/10 for us. All the food we had was amazing, including the buffet which changes themes every night. Breakfast was buffet, didn't change, but lots of choise and an omelete bar. Pizza place was great for a snack after swimming or late at night. La Bamba for lunch was great for a midday snack. Kids tried every drink there was, loved them all. Pool staff were great, always playing games and getting you involved if you wanted. Place was spotless, someone always sweeping and mopping. Our room was great. Zero complaints from us. Glad I didn't listen to the negative reviews on this, we'd defintely go back! Thanks Marival!

The food was ok, but not great. Impossible to get a reservation the whole time we were there (8 days). Kids club was fantastic, constantly activities for kids. The events should have been scheduled earlier at night as 9pm is too late for the young kids. Drinks were ok but watered down, none provided in the rooms. The resort seemed quiet which was nice. The Tuesday fiesta and the beach party were both well done and a lot of fun. Loved the paths outside the resort to walk/ run on. Ocean and beach were nice.

Food needed to be hotter and it would be good if the bikes to use had baskets. 30 minutes from Bucerius by bike.

We have stayed at numerous properties in Nuevo Vallarta. The physical property is excellent and is great if you have young children. The rooms have coffee makers, but they only give you one day and try to sell you coffee for the rest of the week, which is absurd. for shampoo, and soap you need to scrounge for more, they give you one days worth. The three premium restaurants were booked all week long, and we could not make a reservation at any of them even though we tried on day one. This is absolutely absurd and unacceptable for an all inclusive resort. There were a small bloodstain one of the sheets from a cut on my arm. It was about the size of a half dollar and very mild, easily cleaned with cold water but they tried to charge us an extra cleaning fee. Which turned out to be a scam from the concierge, she said I needed to come down and pay immediately. We will not be staying there again.

Another great vacation at Marival. We will be back!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit. The pool, beach, rooms and food choices was excellent. Will definitely stay there again.

Waited in line for hours to try and book a la cart restaurants to find out only one spot left for the whole week at 9:20 the night before we left. On check in, after a long day of travel, the make you sit with timeshare staff and excursion staff before they put on your bracelet. Very disappointing and won’t be going back. Prefer the Riu’s as no reservations are required for dining.

Great resort, no need to leave the compound, good food not great but a great experience all around, they will try and upsell some timeshares and sell you in the membership be my wife and I found it fine with the standard. There are kids but you can go to the adult and more adult friendly pool to get away from the noise but didn’t bother us at all.

My 15 year old and I had a blast...Beautiful hotel, everyone was very friendly...just ask if you need anything because they will not go out of their way otherwise. Just know that they play a lot of games with the reservations for the specialty restaurants and say they are booked when they clearly have lots of tables available. The food in the special restaurants are wayyy better than the buffet (which is so-so) but there are lots of restaurants in the area if you crave something better outside the premises. For us, we were fine with having three nice dinners and eating whatever for the rest- the drinks were great, pool was clean (just get up early to put your towels on chairs or you will have a struggle finding a place for more than 1 person)...it gets busy. All in all an excellent trip and we were happy- clean, beyond stunning beach, sunsets, and mountain views wherever you turn, nice gym. Recommended trip with kids.

They said i did not have reservations I had to call to verify The check in was awful. I did have reservations. Our fri ends were told that there room were not paid for. So they had to pay again. They are still waiting for the credit to appear on their credit card we will not go back after going there for 15 years

All the staff members were super friendly.

The staff was courteous and greetful. Live the variety of food and entertainment. They just need to upgrade their TV’s and better beds

Great facility. Food was well presented and very tasty considering the huge volume required for all the guests. Only downside was the reservation system for the a la carte restaurants. We weren’t able to book any the entire week we were there despite arriving early on Sunday . It seems there aren’t enough spaces even though the Mediterranean restaurant was half full every time we walked by it.

Did not like anything about the property it was dirty and no customer service the pictures I saw on Expedia was pictures of there other resort which was much cleaner, the pictures were mixed pictures of both properties which we got to stay at the bad property overall trip was not good there service was horrible

This is a beautiful resort and the location is great! We loved the pickleball courts and our family really enjoyed the use of the bikes they have available! The only thing is it’s a very busy resort and it seems like the staff have a hard time keeping up! There a lineups for everything and there is no pool service for drinks. But if you don’t mind getting your own drinks and waiting in line for the buffet, drinks, ice cream and also just the overall busy atmosphere then likely you will really enjoy this resort!

Absolutely loved our trip to Marival!! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and the drinks were even better! Very family friendly as well. The beach is huge, sandy, and amazing to swim in! Can’t wait to be back Marival thank you!!

The property was very nice. The beds are old and need to be changed. There willingness to accommodate to a King size bed was not met. I asked 6 weeks prior and they could not fulfill the request. The food needs an upgrade. Its was mediocre at best. The afternoon snack bar was horrible!! They need a chef to revamp and add flavour and better options. We are two Italians and the Italian food was very sub par. The pasta dishes lacked flavour and the sauce very watery. We won’t be going back to Marival.

Most of the employees were very rude, hotel was not clean. I would not recommended.

We travelled from Feb 8-11, 2024. Pros: - Adult pool was lovely; comfy chairs there - Beach Party Dinner was nice to eat outside - Breakfast buffet was decent. - Ate at Las Palamos - good food - Martini bar upstairs - best mezcal hibiscus margarita - favourite drink of the stay. - Location on the beach was great, as expected with any resort in Nuevo. Cons: - We did not see ANY AED machines here. And frankly, the resort was full of retirees. When we asked, we were told that they had a nurse there but no AED on site. - Buffet food at lunch and dinner were far from desirable. - The resort services a cruise ship day excursion on the Sunday we were there. This created HUGE line ups everywhere. The buffet staff were overwhelmed; service was terrible/non-existent; Pools were overcrowded. - Rooms are dated. - Sink in the room smelled of sewage when the taps ran. - Coffee maker and mugs provided in the room - NO COFFEE provided; - "Mini bar" was two beer and two Pepsis - Check in was confusing; wrong room given; no orientation of where anything was or how to book the a la carte. - the "Magic Show" on Saturday turned out to be a Kids Karaoke Night. - Gym needs a serious update and was dusty and dirty. FYI - there is no wifi in the gym - so plan in advance if you were going to stream a workout to follow there (i.e. Peloton) - looks NOTHING like the photos. - Staff and customer support was underwhelming to say the least.

Our room was 1821 with a shared door between our room and 1820. this was very problematic as we could hear the guests in room 1820 trough the door clearly. This was very disruptive to our stay and it was hard to sleep. We called several times but got little responce from the hotel staff. This will prevent us from recommending this hotel to anyone. Too bad.

Staff is amazing. Food and live entertainment could be improved. The small bit of music we got to see only lasted less than an hour.
