Staff was nice and hotel was clean. AC worked well. Nice amenities. The nespresso pods could have tasted better would be my one minor complaint. Just too dark. Otherwise it was an excellent stay and I’d stay again.

Located a block from Metro and Parliament and within a couple of minutes of the historical centre. Quiet little town that comes to life after noon and shuts down before midnight. Scenic streets and intersting architecture.

The infrastructure itself is great. The hotel is really well located, has comfortable rooms with large beds and walking in showers with waterfall douches. Breakfast was decent, with some local products, including oysters which give a nice local feeling to any traveler. But the highlight is definitely the staff. Emre and Chloe do their best to support guests finding their ways in Rennes. From restaurant tips to the local secrets. from acommodating the diverse requests a guest has, I believe that is what makes a difference in a hotel and they fulfill completely this matter. Thank you for great days in Rennes and a bientot!

The hotel is perfectly located, heart of the city yet in a quiet area, staff was very friendly. Despite these difficult COVID times, they did their best to make my stay enjoyable. I would return there any time.

Very helpful staff at the hotel. Breakfast was great and hotel is in the center of the city without being noisy.

Very convenient location and parking was also offered. Room was spacious and clean but nothing special. It was a good choice for someone that wants to explore the city centre and spend less time in the room. Did not use the fitness or breakfast so cannot comment.

This hotel is in a prime location close to all of the main spots yet very quiet of an evening. Hotel is very clean and tidy. Hotel staff very helpful. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay in Rennes.

The location is great, 10 minute walk from the station and near the busy Republique area. The hotel looks a lot better in photos than reality. Maybe a lot of issues I faced had to do with the fact that it was a top floor room - but there wasn't a window I could open, just a skylight (which explicitly said not to open!). The ceiling high was low through so I hit my head against the towel rack in the bathroom and the lamp fitting in the bedroom (I'm not even 6 feet tall). There were no blinds or curtains on the skylight. The bathroom wss also very cramped and overall, I wasn't impressed with this hotel - would expect more from an Accor hotel. Would not stay here ever again and would think twice before staying in a Mercure.

The hotel has a great location and a nice breakfast if you choose that option.

If you needed stay here, I did for 1 night but I guess you can find better options. It was very basic and nothing more - for 1 night is ok.

The great surprise was how awesome the selection ans varieties of their breakfast. We loved it. The not-so-good was the room smelled very moldy. Given an one-night stay and checking out of hotel early morning for a flight, we didn’t make it a big deal.

Located centrally, parking fine at a cost Staff fairly dismissive, stood at a desk, that was neither labelled as reception or looked like one?to then see that two members of staff were communicating with each and totally blanked me, wow!Now when I was in service industry we knew the customer focus was is a top priority More fool you Mercure Room was tatty, and in a tired state Not as it was dressed up on websiteSuggest a pass on this one folks

It was a little warm so the fact that the ac didn’t perform well was a bummer. And there were no sheets, just a comforter so we had to sleep uncovered. The facade is under construction, which happens, but the obstructed view was a minor inconvenience.

All was good until I asked the lady at reception if I could borrow an iron. She barked at me that there were only 4 irons and they were all being used. I politely said maybe I could go on a wait list and she barked again that there was already another person in front of me. Nothing arrived and I couldn’t believe it but our door cards needed to be re scanned and she had a go again. We gave up wanting the iron. I did the ironing 2 days later in Bordeaux

Clean and comfortable but not luxurious. Was disappointed there was no room safe. Staff friendly and helpful. Fairly priced in an excellent central location.

Really central hotel in Rennes with very pleasant and helpful staff.

The Mecure Rennes is a very modern elegant hotel. The rooms were quite nice and a nice size. We came in very late the first night but the front desk staff was very helpful in checking us in. I think the hotel caters more to business people because they didn't know much about "touristy" things. Everyone was very professional and polite. We did have a slight challenge finding places to eat since nothing was close-by. We could walk to some cafes but not as many as one usually finds in France.

Returning from holiday and found the reception staff very helpful with regard to recommendations for meals.But thought that 16 euros for breakfast expensive.

Stayed for an overnight stopover. Room was a decent size, shower was good. Even though our room was non-smoking there was an aroma of smoke. The staff on reception were very helpful. Room was pretty basic, no frills and fairly old-fashioned - could do with a bit of modernisation. Good location, easy reach of cafes, bars and restaurants. If we were to stay longer I would probably look for a hotel with more facilities and less dated.

Probably one of the best mercures I have stayed, really clean, modern inside, friendly staff, also liked the display in reception showing what the building used to be like, and as I was apprenticed in the trade and can remember the type cases etc it was of extra special interest to me, room was next to the lift so expected a lot of noise, but nothing to be heard and had a really good nights sleep, car parking was easy compared to some of these inner city hotels, the breakfast was good as well, with a full buffet of hot and cold food, all in all this would be my hotel of choice for Rennes
