The hotel was fine on first appearances . It could use some updates. Elevator needs some work, door all scarred up. Room ok, had to change light bulb, window leaked, TV did not work entire trip. No one could correct it. Breakfast bar needs some help.

Five star for staff. Mark, the manager on duty was very friendly and helpful. Mattresses are older and uncomfortable. We were in room 211 and the drapes did not close, meaning the floodlight from the parking lot was shining in through our window all night long and was very bright, with no way to block it out. Bathroom fixtures not working great but we’ve seen worse. Climate control needs to be updated. Convenient location but that’s about all this hotel has going for it.

The television was old. We were woken up during the middle of the night by the manager, saying smoke was coming from our motel room. We don’t smoke and we were asleep.

This property is badly in need of updates.
Staff was great and friendly.
Rooms appeared clean but lighting was terribly dark, carpet smell old and like stale smoke. Old phone plastic is stained from age and smoke. No usb ports in room. Grout was stained and moldy in bathroom. Fridge was old and freezer was frozen over.
Beds were clean and comfortable. Staff was great.

Overall, it was a good stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the ice machine on the 3rd floor was out of order and I had to go down to the 1st floor to get ice. The television’s volume did not go up enough for me to hear easily. And finally, the room felt a bit humid even though the air conditioner was running. I would stay again when I return to Boone.

Location was good, room was average, and could have been cleaned better. But what was annoying is all of the contractors staying there parked their trucks & equipment and took up most of the back parking lot. We got back from dinner around 9:30 and the entire lot was full. The desk attendant told us to park in the handicap spot for now. Huh?

I hardly write reviews & we also have stayed at this hotel about 4 times in the past 8 years. It was terrible. Main complaint was I called Friday before booking hotel to make sure the indoor pool was working. Person who answered told me yes, but failed to mention well it’s not heated anymore. They apparently have tried to get it fixed multiple times and it keeps breaking so the pool is freezing! My kids are toddlers so the main interest for them is a pool. If they had mentioned that the pool was not heated anymore I would have picked another hotel. We won’t stay here again. The breakfast options were limited and less than the past but I don’t knock them for that because everything is pricier now.

The back door was supposed to be locked at all times but it wasn’t. The property had lots of trash around it. I had a service dog which me so I had to be extra vigilant.

The room itself was fine, although the bed was not very comfortable. The toilet tissue holder in bath was rusty, the wooden cubby for towels was dusty, but the shower was the worst! The shower head was hand-held, and the bracket it was in was only a couple of inches from the ceiling. It was very hard to reach being that high. Additionally, the shower head would not fit in the bracket except in the sideways position, which sent the water into the shower curtain or the wall. There is no way to use the bracket, so showers are awkward with having to hold the shower head all the time.

Not a very comfortable stay. The hotel is old and run down, and the room that we were placed in had a broken door, inconsistent lock, dirty sheets and floors, and non-working fridge. Wouldn’t recommend. The hotel seriously needs some renovation. You also need to request room service to get your room cleaned, FYI.

We did not end up staying the night, the bed was barely made, the room felt dirty, the appliances and the walls needed some repairs and some repainting, and we simply did not want our children to stay in that room.

This was an average hotel, everything was fine! No complaints it just didn't blow me out of the water with how amazing it was. I do wish that they had thicker curtains on the windows in the room, but that is a minor thing.

I would give 5 stars due to the professionalism of the front desk alone. Every person that I dealt with was extremely helpful and accomadating. Honestly they all deserve raises. The room wasn't bad at all and the location was convenient. The free breakfast was nice but a little lacking. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
