Had a very good stay here.

The desk clerk seemed surprised that I had a hotel reservation, but aside from that the check-in was uneventful. The hotel room was a decent size for the price and the location is in the center of town. They do allow pets which leads me to a rather unpleasant experience. My dog was not allowed in the breakfast area. Fine, so I left her in my hotel room. Then, the fire alarm went off and all doors were closed. My first thought was the safety of my dog so I ran upstairs to get her. We descended the stairs and waited in the lobby. A woman appeared and stated in French something about the alarm being triggered and there was no danger. So I walk upstairs with my dog to the breakfast area. The hotel manager who approached me earlier asked me where I was taking my coffee and croissant. I explained that we were going back to my room. He told me that I couldn’t take it with to my room. I made the point that I won’t leave my dog alone in the room for fear that am actual fire would occur. We got to arguing when the fire alarm sounded again and as the door was closing it hit the coffee cup and coffee spilled onto my white shirt. I grabbed my dog and went outside and ordered a cappuccino at the cafe next door. This morning didn’t start out well. After the fire alarm stopped & no fire trucks appeared, we returned to the hotel. Now while taking a shower the night before, the water backed up & nearly overflowed onto the floor. I contacted the hotel & was told it would be fixed.

Efficient, central, no fuss hotel. Parking is a bit tricky.

Really lovely little hotel. Staff very friendly. Fantastic location. Rooms and bathroom spacious and clean.

There were a lot of travaux room. It was so noisy in the room from early morning. But The room is so big ,clean , nice receptions , it was nice.

The hotel is very central to the cathedral and walking distance to the basilica.

The hotel is centrally located with convenient public parking nearby. Although not in tip-top condition, the place is clean and the beds are comfortable. The owner/operator stays at the premise so the services are good and efficient.

This is a hotel in a central location in Lisieux, it offers good value and is comfortable and clean. The rooms are a little dated in décor but are spacious and it offers a good place to stay.

The hotel is near all the places that we planned to visit in Lisieux. Mr. Patel gave us the direction to different places that is connected with St. Therese. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and our visit in Lisieux.

Received a warm and enthusiastic welcome. Room was fine. Secure parking was available at a modest charge. Would stay here again.

Location was great, walking distance to the Cathedral. Downside is it has no A/C.

The owner, Mr. Patel was extremely gracious and accommodating. He was most helpful to me as I tried to resolve a personal situation. His calm demeanor and friendly suggestions made our over night stay a delight.Because of him I would stay for a few day on my next visit to the area. His suggestion for a restaurant was perfect. It would be helpful to a traveler to know that there is a parking area almost directly across from the hotel. This Inn is a hidden treasure.

The location is excellent, nice and confortable. Very clean and very good Wi Fi. Breakfast was complete. The service was attentive and very resourceful. Will highly recommend.

I've stayed here twice and ironically was given the same room. Room was very spacious and clean and had a little balcony that overlooked a courtyard. First time I went in April, the room temperature was perfect. The second time in November, the room was freezing! I complained about it and they immediately turned the master switch higher. By 4am it was warm and toasty, but had to sleep with my coat on before then. They have free wifi but got bumped out if it a few times. Overall for the price, it's a good place to stay.

I had a good experience at Hotel de la Place. The receptionist was very nice. My room was large and clean. The people were nice and helpful and close to the Basilica and Carmel. Town was cute with lots of shops.

Great hotel and good location. St. Peter's Basilica is just across the street.The front desk staff is nice. Breakfast buffet cost $10.00 which is good. The room is clean, big and comfortable as well as the bathroom. The restaurants in Lisieux open at 7 p.m. for dinner. That was Sunday when we got there. We stayed overnight for the the feast of St. Therese the next day. The hotel offers breakfast only. I would love to stay there again in the future.

Very helpful staff, close to all I wanted to see and do (walkable to / from train station & all of the St. Therese places of interest).

Very clean, cosy and quiet. No problems with the parking (though there were no hotel parking lot).
