NEGATIVE: The room was a small room that did not have any flat surface (such as a desk) for working with my laptop, or for eating to-go food. The lighting at the bed was an issue. One side of the bed at no reading light, the other side the reading light was not adjustable and was behind a floor to ceiling wall that was about 12" wide. POSTIVE: the room was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful.

My bestie & I rented a room for her birthday, we did a little overnight staycation & had the best time! The room was clean & comfortable & having a restaurant on site was a huge bonus. The staff was so friendly & accomodating. We have decided to try to do this at least quarterly, if not more often. We will be back!

Front desk service Shaun was great. He was so hospitable and friendly. The rooms were clean and the bedding was super super soft. The waitresses at the toast to toast restaurant were also amazing. I would highly recommend to any traveler. The rates are good and the location is close to the dome.

It was relap good. The room was big and the bed was siper comfortable. I wouldnt eat at the restaurant unless you just get fries.

Waited in like 30 mins, guy gave me room that hadn’t been cleaned, unmade bed, cans on counter, pee in toilet, garbage on floor, switched rooms, then a little later i decided to get another room because my friend and kids were coming, told same staff guy 5 times I wanted adjoining room, got the room and it was 3 doors away, went back to get the right adjoining room. Ordered food from burger place there, checked no onions in the order screen, my food had onions, pretty ok place to stay but it’s like they are incapable of listening. Told the manger Vanesssa at check out what happened and she was very helpful and offered a little refund back.

Poor gal doing the check in. Real busy and no help. Bathroom fan was noisy. Towels thin. Right next to I5 so lots of freeway noise. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Convenient location. Property grounds filthy when you walk on sidewalk around it.

We stayed in a suite, the suite space was specious, big living room, big bedroom and big bathroom. But, the sofa bed in the living room was not comfortable and the bathroom sink, tub and toilet got clogged easily.

The shower had a brown stain on the bottom so was never used. Could not find the bathroom trash can for the first 2 hours because it ended up being behind the TV. The built in electric outlets beside the bed in the nightstand not only did not work, but were not attached. When I pulled on the cord to my phone, they lifted right out of the nightstand. I only booked this hotel because this site rated it 8.8. That is a lie.

The actual hotel is nice, the area around it isn't much to look at minimart, strip building with a few miscellaneous businesses. Our room was clean, comfortable bed- it was a bit smaller than our usual stays. I do appreciate that at check-in we were given a room next to the road that was very noisy and super small. The gentleman at the front desk took the time to find a room on the backside that was a bit bigger- that made our stay a lot nicer.

The room was beautiful and clean. The bed was very comfortable. There was a lot of traffic noise, but I actually slept well. The pool and hot tub were great.very clean and only one other person there.The free breakfast was a step above the usual cold cereal and pastry. They had a menu and you ordered and they cooked your breakfast. My husband had biscuits and gravy, eggs, and bacon. I had scramble potatoes, and bacon. A very nice stay!

Amazing stay at this hotel for an event! Loved the size of the pool and the staff were incredible. Food was really good as well. Only complaint is we booked this hotel for the hot tub/pool, and the jets were not working in the spa. We brought it to staff attention twice and nothing was done. Would still stay here again as the hotel was great!

Our group of 6 stayed here on a Tuesday night in september in 2 2 bed rooms. We were in toen for a concert and this location was the perfect distance from the Tacoma Dome. Very good place to stay that is still close to the freeway and all the things one needs while traveling. Nice rooms, comfy beds. Would stay again and would recommend.

We liked this hotel the check In was easy and the staff pleasant they were aware of things going on Around them like making sure things were safe for guests. We lost our parking pass and they were so nice and gave us another one with no problem.
We would stay here again.

The facilities are clean and tidy and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The location was convenient to the different locations that we were going to be driving to while in town but it isn’t an area where a person would want to take an evening stroll. Breakfast was reasonably priced but the offerings were very limited and of mediocre quality. But, again, restaurant and bar staff were some of the friendliest.

The room was smaller than any hotel room we’ve ever experienced. I mean tiny. Nowhere to put luggage, no luggage carts. Street noise. Other than that it was fine.

The beds and the pool area were good. Everything was clean and neat. When I asked a front desk clerk about what television stations were available, they had no idea. I was also unhappy about breakfast. I searched for breakfast included and this hotel came up, but they do not include the breakfast, you can purchase a voucher to have breakfast at the restaurant. Probably not their fault, probably a problem with Expedia search system. Over all...I would stay again with the knowledge I now have.

My daughter, her friend, and I stayed in a suite on the 3rd floor, and it was fantastic. It was clean, on the corner of the hall, so fairly quiet (with the exception of a child running up and down the halls for 30 minutes). The restaurant manager, Kathi helped me solve a breakfast dilemma, and all the restaurant staff was very friendly and on top of things. The gym was super clean, and my girls used the indoor pool/hot tub, which they enjoyed because Wild Waves gad to be missed due to poor weather.
The hotel stay made up for fun times lost.
Thank you Holiday Inn Tacoma. We will absolutely be back.

I like the onsite restaurant but it's pricey.

The inside of the property is good and well maintained. The outside of the property is not safe and you can get your car robbed in broad day light (first hand experience). There is security that watches over the property over night but in a place like this with this many incidents there should be security all day. You can add on breakfast to your stay for cheaper than the meal itself which is nice but food isnt the greatest but definitely good enough. Most of the staff is kind and caring and dont have attitude which was nice to experience.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Tacoma Mall for around 5 nights. It was an amazing stay. The staff was great, they were helpful and understanding. I had to cut my stay short and my remaining balance was refunded immediately. My only suggestion is to include a bed and breakfast option to the people staying at the Holiday Inn.

The staff were the most friendly and welcoming I've encountered. Amy in the on-site restaurant was warm and connected with each customer. The staff were chatting and giving recommendations for things to do in the area. They recognized guests on sight and remembered little details that made it obviously they were paying attention to each individual. It was impressive!
