The hotel was really clean, comfortable, and cute. Modern and good service. The only issue I had was the unexpected $25 early check in fee. Everything else was great!

This is the secone time I've stayed at this property. I came back because of the great experience. The second visit was not as good as the first. The staff was so kind, the king size rooms are private with their own entrance, as well as a jacuzzi tub. However on the final morning I had realized I had bed bug bites all over my arms. I wouldve given this property 5 stars all around if this hadn't happened. I'm disappointed.

I liked that it didn't feel like a chain. It was very clean, and the location was close to the highway. They offered free bottled water at check-in. Jetted tub was nice. Although they had shampoo, body wash, and lotion, there was no conditioner available. The room was nice and spacious. Everything was very clean in the room and in the common areas. The breakfast was pretty minimal, with some fruits, mini pastries, a couple of cereals, and a pancake maker; but any free breakfast is better than nothing. Bed was decent enough, but there didn't seem to be enough layers (just one topsheet and a fleece blanket), so I wouldn't call it cozy. Overall satisfactory place to rest for the night.

So pleased with our stay. Very neat and comfortable. Continental breakfast included was the best continental I’ve had. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will be back for next Great Lakes Tournament at Cedar Point Center! They had pool for kids with a slide. Swings and grilling area with picnic tables. Priced very affordable! Thank you South Shore Inn

Needed to catch some sleep on a long road trip, found this hotel and was pleasantly surprised. For the price, the room was really nice and good size. They do take $100 deposit but you can pay the deposit in cash which I always like to do so I get it back in the morning. Otherwise you have to put it on your card. It’s a little bit off the interstate, but not too bad. I definitely would stay here again.

We loved staying here and would definitely come back!! Only issue we had was we felt rushed before checkout - the housekeeping staff kept coming back and even started walking in one time without knocking. I feel there needs to be better communication with her so she knows who is and is not checked out yet. If checkout is at 12 I shouldn’t have to tell someone 2-3x that we are still in there between 10:30 and 11:15. She was very kind so I wasn’t necessarily upset with her but someone needs to be better at communicating with her so she knows who hasn’t checked out yet. Grounds were beautiful and well maintained and room was comfy. We had a nice stay while visiting cedar point for our anniversary! pool and hot tub were fabulous and very clean.

Everything was great other than were not smokers but the designated smoking holders to put your butts and ashes were at the end of the halls which rhe smell was heavy in our room. Everything else was fine

Very clean and comfortable stay. The pool and hot tub were very nice. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. As others have stated, the property is a bit dated. Our room had a bit of a musty smell to it. Also, not the property's fault, but located very close to train tracks so could hear train horns all night. Would definitely consider staying here again next time we're in the area.

I’m normally a 5 star get the review over with kinda guy but…
The beds felt like sleeping on concrete. The room was clean. The door leading to the outside was very flimsy and the door trim was not sturdy at all. We had a light bulb out in our room. Pretty sketchy to say the least. DEFINITELY not worth the $600 dollars I spent on 4 travelers, 2 rooms.

Overall our stay was good. We enjoyed having Cedar Point just a few minutes away. The only issue we really encountered was the fact that the tile floor was extremely cold & always had condensation on it. Both my kids almost slipped & fell on the wet floor.

The staff are welcoming, but the hotel is overpriced considering it’s facilities and the rooms status. Like there is basically nothing in the hotel, the rooms are outside.

Everything was fantastic. From the cleanliness of the room down to the employees. The free breakfast was great and delicious. The rooms were clean and the beds were soooo comfortable . I will definitely stay there again when I am in Sandusky.

Stayed the night while visiting cedar point. The room was clean and the beds were so comfy. It was quite in the evening too. The pool was a little cold, but good for a hot day. The hot tub was way too hot, like burned my skin. I could cook pasta in the water. It was crazy hot. The room does come with a mini fridge and microwave. There are vending machines and free breakfast.

Super friendly staff!! Room was clean and quiet too. I requested the bottom floor which we received. Super close to Cedar Point and even received bottled water from the front desk clerk! Will definitely stay again!!

We stayed here just for a place to sleep after cedar point. We were only checked in for a total of 7 hours but what we did see was all good. Staff was friendly when we checked in and checked out. Offered a small breakfast but nice to have something. Only bad side was beds were slightly too firm.

Great option after a long day at Cedar Point. The property is close to Cedar Point, clean and has a nice pool to help cool off, as well as hot tub. The rooms are a bit dated, but were clean and comfy.
