The Wyndham still feels new and modern as stated in numerous reviews. The room and bed were clean and comfortable. The hotel had a busy weekend with several group meetings and wedding parties on premises. Noise from staff cleaning late night and setting up early at 6:00 am woke us as our room adjoined one of the banquet rooms on the first floor.

Poor sound proofing. Band/DJ was playing out front of the hotel for two nights. Our second floor front-facing room could hear every note. It sounded as if they were playing in the room. Music stopped at 10 pm each night. Also, every conversation and door activity on the hall could be heard through the closed hotel room door. No cleaning/towel service unless you booked it the evening before. It would’ve been nice to have that as an automatic service at least once during a five night stay. We had to take out our trash daily because I forgot to reserve cleaning service. Frustrating when spending over $500 per night. Hotel was very expensive (holiday weekend) and of poor value. I have stayed at the Wyndham many, many times. The value is much better in the off season. Are breakfast once in the hotel restaurant. It was terrible. Weak coffee and very runny/watery oatmeal. I’ve never had that before. My friend and I actually poured the excess water from the oatmeal into an empty cup.

The hotel was easy to get to and parking was plentiful. The room was spacious and had plenty of outlets. The property is close to a beach and the start of the Cliff walk. The restaurant is ok for breakfast. Nothing special. The shower does not have a door or curtain. The shower pressure is great but the glass panel was not long enough so a lot of water got onto the floor. The hotel offered a shuttle to downtown Newport but didn’t use it. With the limited, expensive parking downtown it is a nice option. There is limited things to walk to around the property so the shuttle or a car is needed to enjoy the Newport area.

On day #2, I requested clean towels and general maintenance of the bathroom only. I had to get my own towels off a cart, bring them the dirty towels, and no one came to clean the bathroom. I informed management and they had someone clean the entire room the next day. The room itself was comfortable but had no dresser or drawers at all in which to put personal items. There were 2 small open cubes and the nightstands were also open cubes. It was a large room with 2 king beds, a large desk and a full sofa, but a dresser instead the big desk, or a comfortable chair instead of the sofa would have been preferable. THE ROOMS NEED DRAWERS.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Middletown RI Wyndham Hotel. Our room was beautiful, modern, had a water view and the King Beds were very comfortable. My family and I try to go every year but always stayed at another nearby hotel. We were so impressed with Wyndham that we will stay there in all our future trips. Also they offer a shuttle into Newport which is definitely an added plus to stay there.

Enjoýed our stay. Kids loved the pool. 5 min to shopping & restaurants. Restaurant at the hotel was a bit pricey but delicious. We did not like the half shower door. Overall an excellent stay.

This was our first time in Newport. Though the hotel is in Middletown, the most valuable feature of the hotel was the shuttle service to Newport. The drivers, Bill, Paul and Bob, were all friendly, efficient and informative. This service eliminated the stress and expense of parking downtown.

We loved our stay in Middletown RI. This Wynham hotel is beautiful , clean. Modern, comfortable. Rooms are spacious, beds so comfortable, plenty of conveniently placed outlets. Thoughts went into comfort here. The pool with extremely comfortable lounge chairs, the fire pit, etc We very much welcomed the free shuttle onto Newport,. This is one more reason to stay here. We plan On staying here on all our return trips.

The hotel was busy with a wedding during our stay so we spent a while trying to find parking before we discovered a whole extra parking lot behind the hotel. The room was a great size & we had a comfy night's sleep. Sound travels from the corridor a bit though as some guests were shouting/talking loudly & it was loud in our room. The shower was a bit weak/confusing controls & the toiletries could be improved, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay + the location is good for Newport and area.

The Wyndham was an extraordinary hotel to stay in!! My sister & I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the shuttle to Newport was such an added bonus!!

Pros:Hotel was very clean and room was a very good size. The shuttle to downtown Newport ran often and drivers were so friendly and knowledgeable. Pool was excellent and clean. Patio bar was great. Cons: room could have drawers for clothing and tub could use a grab bar

This is my third year staying at this property & it is wonderful. The staff is incredibly kind & hard working. The shuttle service into Newport is easy, fast & efficient. I found each driver to be so nice & personable. They were quick to give recommendations & little history stories about the area. My kids love the pool area & having breakfast at the hotel. I will pick this hotel every time.

Perfect location, easy shuttle ride to town. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Complimentary coffee, tea and water in the lobby would be a good idea, considering the price of the rooms. We would stay there again, for sure.

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 4 years It is a great location and reasonably priced during folk and jazz festival dates Staff are always friendly and helpful Check in and checkout are easy My one wish is that they would update or eliminate the old carpet in the halls and rooms. In my opinion it just makes everything look old. We had a dehumidifier in our room and couldn’t help but wonder if it would have been better without the carpet

We’ve stayed here with a family of 8 shared 2 rooms. 2 king size meds in each room, view from our wI does and the decent size bathrooms made it very comfortable for all. There is a free transportation from the hotel to the town center and back every 30 min. Which makes it easy to avoid parking in the city since it’s very difficult and costly. The hotel is close to 2nd beach and 1st beach. The beaches aren’t great beach vacation spots but enough for some fun for the kids. The hotel has an indoor pool which was sufficient for us to spend a rainy day with little ones. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

Shuttle service to Newport was definitely a bonus, friendly drivers, pool was nice/ clean, overall stay was pleasant, we will be back!
