We only stayed one night at the last day of Italy’s high season so only a few rooms seemed to be busy. Although staff/concierge was very friendly, we didn’t see many others around the hotel, which is in desperate need of an overall update as everywhere looks tired and dated. There is no air conditioning in the rooms (even though an old system seem to be in place for guests to control from their own room, the concierge said there wasn’t air conditioning in any rooms which we thought was very strange - so either the hotel was trying to save on bills or didn’t want to address or rectify an obvious problem) so we were lucky that the temperature wasn’t too hot or it would have been very uncomfortable to sleep.

We decided to stay at this "five-star luxury hotel" before our AM flight. Arrived early, lunch at pool restaurant - nice pizza dish with very good crust. Checked in and changed for the pool. Room was dated (as was rest of hotel decor) and the floor was dirty- not "5-Star". Lovely balcony. Air conditioning not working - reported to desk (1st report). Pool nice, pool bar limited, towels only at the front desk (not 5-star!). Air still not working after 3-hour at pool (80F in room!). Sent service request via their Siri (I think) system (2nd). Also asked again at front desk when making hotel dinner reservations (3rd). Front desk said received service request for the air conditioning - had not responded yet. Hotel bar not open until 7PM - only the pool bar across the property available - again not "5-Star" convenience. Went to dinner (not good 2-star at best - no olives or lime - in Italy!). Called desk (4th) when air STILL not working after dinner. Waited another hour - called front desk again (5th) then went to front desk (6th) to see what could be done. Finally 2 people checked our room and used a toothpick to rig the air conditioner to work. Stayed 20 hours at "5-Star" hotel and only had air conditioning for about 8 of those hours. Never offered apology, a new room, discount, or anything for our inconvenience. Poorly run hotel with tremendous potential if cleaning, restaurant, maintenance, staffing, etc. were upgraded to anything close to 5-Star.

We stayed one night before flying home. The condition of the hotel was overall good, the pool area and rooms was nice. The room had a descent size balcony.
The button to turn up the room temperature set point on the ac control unit was broken, which lead the room temperature to on the cold side during the night. There were long black hairs in the shower and on the bathroom floor, which indicated the cleaning before we got the room had been not that thorough. When walking without socks on, we had to brush off our feet before going to bed.
We expected better breakfast, considering the rating and price of the hotel.
Some noise from the nearby airport is to be expected.
Due to a late flight we ordered a late checkout and got an unpleasant surprise when it was time to pay. As it turned out there had been an langue misunderstanding for the late check out fee (we though 14 euro, they insisted on 40 euro), which there were not talking to the staff about.
The overall feeling for the hotel is that we could have done better for a cheaper price at a lower rated hotel.

Great property; great staff

The staff deserves a better hotel to work in. The management needs to make some structural & finishings investments cause you have perfect staff and thats rare.

Airport is perfect for early morning flights out of Catania.
Hotel interior is dated. Some aspects of the room were broken—needs some TLC. Having said that, we called the front desk and they sent someone right away.
Dinner was very good. Our waiter Davide was excellent.

This is not a five start hotel. I stayed one night and they had loud club music playing where you could feel the base in the room. At 1 am I went to the front seat to complain about it and they acted like it was out of the ordinary and said that they would speak to the people. On my way back to the room I stop and spoke to another visitor and found out that this had been going on for the last 3 nights. And it continued past 3 am. The next morning I promptly checked out.

Close to the airport if looking for convenience. Parking is easy and available on site. Otherwise, the property is very dated. Dirty rooms and corridors. The food at the restaurant was terrible.

The hotel has been very high standard, but is rather old now. Great facilities though and located next to an excellent beach.

It was a clean and comfortable hotel for a night after driving at the Catania airport. Breakfast with a great view, nice spread of cheeses and more, and sparkling wine was quite lovely. We enjoyed the pizzeria for dinner.

We booked a room with 2 double beds and were given a king bed. This resulted in my husband and I sharing a bed with our 13 year old son. I asked to switch rooms and was told they were full and it wasn't possible. I asked for a cot and was simply told no. Later on my husband hurt his back and we asked for some ice which we were told was not possible unless we bought wine from the bar. I have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed myself but it has seriously gone downhill. The service was horrible and the staff do not care about guests. If you need to stay in the area stay at the notel next door.

Hotel was quite nice but not 5* quality. We encountered a few issues, including no spare sockets meaning we had to unplug existing things to charge our phones. We also had to switch the fridge off to use the kettle (cups were provided but no spoons). The tv remote had no batteries in it and the toilet roll holder was broken. That said, the entrance to the hotel was very beautiful, the area had nice restaurants nearby, and the pool was decent.

Very nice pool.

Very outdated, very small showers for even small kids, no space in the shower to accommodate soap or shampoo. AC is a dilema (it may or it may not work as the rooms were last updated around 1980). Connecting rooms? Good luck!, it will be given to guests that logically do not need it and not to parents with small kids). On the positive side, good location (close to city center and close to the Catania airport). The pool also looked nice and well maintained, but did not use it.

Close to the airport—$25 minimum taxi fare. The room was spacious. The decorations are rather interesting, but the staff was great.

My husband and I stayed there since our flight from Catania airport was super early the next day.
The service was good we asked to be moved from the first room since it was not that clean. The front desk rep. did move us no problem.
However he failed to let us know that there is a way to go across the street to the beach with chairs and umbrellas. The restaurant was good and the atmosphere was good.

Convenient to the airport at Catania! Beautiful property with older decor in lobby and rooms. Limited menu in the restaurant with good presentation but average taste. High cost for airport transportation ($25).

Nicely design hotel in the park environment, Close to the Catania airport. Lunch was excellent, however grilled octopus for dinner was burned and not edible. When I complained to the restaurant manager I was told that this is
a matter of opinion and I was charged for this non edible meal. My bill indicated free desert which not served. Restaurant manager ruined our good impression about this hotel.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the airport and it had easy parking. The hotel was so much better than I expected. The front desk checked us in early. Massimo was so friendly and could answer all our questions. He have us excellent directions to return our car rental. We never would have found it without his help. The room had a patio which we enjoyed very much. I would highly recommend this hotel. However the restaurant I would not recommend. It was super expensive and the food was not very good.

No Airco working on the hottest week of the year so far. Asked repeatedly for a fan to be sent to the room without result. Bed incredibly hard, poor quality pillows.

The best hotel! 5 min drive to airport. On the beach! Very good swimming pool and free towels provided.its one of those hotels that I would leant to go back. Room was amazing and very modern.

The hotel was in a good location and easy to find. The breakfast was wonderful, with lots of options and tasty items. This was one of the best breakfasts we had in our 10-day trip to Sicily. I arrived at the hotel late in the evening, around 10.00 pm, and the main gate was closed. There was another gate from which we needed to enter, but there were no signs or enough light to figure out the doorbell. In addition, the reception was in a different direction, but again, there were no signs to lead you to the main entrance. I would suggest they should have proper lighting and signs to lead the guests.

Nice room and pool, helpful staff, easy parking. Only downside - noisier than my other stays in Sicily.

Rooms were spacious and well laid out. Restaurant was average. Parking through the gate took a bit to figure out, but once the proper gate was used, no problems. Shower in the bathroom is really small.

Well positioned near the beach, and nearby restaurants made this a very good hotel choice
