Right across the street from bus/train station. Uber and cabs can pick up right next to front door. Easy to get to cruise terminal from hotel.

The room was far too warm even with the temperature set low. I had paid upfront when booking through hotels.com and this price included breakfast. On checkin i was asked for my card details and to pay the city tax. I left the hotel at 05:30 using the key drop box and 2 hours later receive an email from the hotel with my invoices for charges. I was charged again for the room, for breakfast and for tax. Have tried to contact the hotel bit so far not response.

The hotel is nice. I can sleep anywhere but this is the first time the bed was so soft it was uncomfortable- it swallows you up!

Only stayed one night but a very comfy bed, hot shower, a good amount of space. I’d love it if the workout room had better equipment. I didn’t try the food or bar so can’t comment .

The room had a horrible odour and smell. Stale tobacco. Previous guests had been smoking in the room heavily and possibly the room had not been cleaned properly. The staff on reception were very unhelpful and lacked professional customer service skills. Their solution to the problem was to spray the room which would not have worked as the room needed full defumigation and deep clean and would take days/ long time to solve the terrible tobacco smells. We were left waiting for a long time and were advised that the hotel was fully booked, therefore no other options. We asked if we could be moved to another Novotel hotel within an hours drive which apparently was not possible. We asked for a refund under reasonable circumstance but were advised that was not possible too. At one point after one member of staff confirmed on inspection that the room had a terrible odour (the same lady who said the room could be sprayed with chemicals which would have created an awful smell) another staff member appeared and lied to say the room was ok. We eventually left Le Havre and on a busy Saturday night were able to book hotel rooms in Rouen an hours drive away at €270 expense. We will be making a formal complaint to the senior management of Novotel for full compensation and damages. We are a family of 4 (2 young children) it was a very distressing experience and the staff highly unprofessional. We have stayed in many hotels in France but never this before. Disgraceful behaviour.

There was hair in the shower drain; the fridge did not work, and not only the staff did not fix it, they also did not apologize for it; parking in front of the hotel to load and unload is badly thought out and hazardous; the staff are rude and speak condescendingly, as if I am supposed to know how things work even though this us my first time ever in this city and at this hotel.

Stayed during heatwave 35 outside, air conditioning in room was great. Ideally located for the port, because our ferry was cancelled used it as a stopover from Calais to the other side of Normandy. Perfect stop over for both

Good location just opposite the bus station & walking distance to the tram . Only thing was that the air conditioning was not good . Otherwise breakfast was nice .!

We stayed here with our 3 young children. Upon check-in, the lady was helpful and polite. The hotel looks nice and is clean, rooms are also clean and basic. Good enough for a short stop. We were there for one night, in 2 rooms due to no family room options. The location is fine but my wife preferred to use the tram, which is very close, instead of walking into town as it felt a little edgy.Turned out fine though.
It is a big hotel and sadly there was a lot of noise in the hallways at night and a fire alarm went off at about 8:40 in the morning.
The real shortfall was at breakfast, which was more like a free-for-all. Lots of people piling plates high, bumping into each other. They kept running out of food, waited nearly 20 minutes for them to replenish the hot food, which when arrived was uncooked. The scrambled eggs were sloppy and the sausages were pink in the middle. Not worth the wait and with 3 small children in a somewhat chaotic environment, it was not an enjoyable time. Not sure how they maintain a 4 Star rating with food and service like that.
At check-out we mentioned the noise and poor food. After negotiating they removed the breakfast and parking costs from our bill. However when challenged on the state of the food, which she agreed was under cooked when she saw the photo's, there wasn't even an apology. Not impressed, as our children had eaten the food.
Overall, this place is basic and fine for a night, but stick to the croissant and don't expect too much!

This was an okay stay, though I certainly wouldn't rate this as a 4star hotel. The location isn't that convenient, fairly far from most downtown restaurants for instance, and there's no parking in the hotel... You have to park in a nearby underground parking and pay for it. We had no luggage, but I can't imagine it would be pleasant if we did... The hotel itself and room was fine, but again, not great (example, the mini fridge didn't work).

We stayed in three Novotels in different cities on three successive nights. This is one to avoid at the moment. Despite check in at 2pm the room wasn’t ready until after 3pm which made for a long wait with exhausted children. It was then we noticed the hotel clearly under construction despite no notice of this when booking. The kids needed the toilet so we got given a room key for the first floor to use the toilet. The room was large, spacious and newly refurbished. However when we got to our room it was tiny, with hardly any floor space to stand once the sofa bed was out. When showering later in the evening we realised there were only three towels in the room despite our booking for four people. A quick call to reception for an extra towel wasn’t well received when I was told to fetch the towel from reception myself. Not great customer service and we won’t return.

Unexpected construction. Breakfast room moved to 2nd floor right outside of hotel rooms. We opened our hotel room door to hotel guest eating breakfast three feet from our door. Surprised look from these guest. We can hear them in our room. More than 10 days in this situation.

Hotel being renovated so some noise from 8 til 5 ish. Great location, near to station, Docks shopping centre and not too far from city centre. Parking is not ideal, being located underneath an adjacent building. Road noise can be heard in the rooms and the air conditioning did not work in either of our rooms. Due to the renovations, breakfast was served right outside the room. Not a bad place but I will look elsewhere next time.

We had a very bad experience with this Hotel. There were remodel working and we suffered from the noise. Breakfast room was set up in the rooms lobby just in front of our room door. Staff at front desk was very unpleasent at checking in. There was no warning about the remodel working when doing the booking whish is really unaceptable. We had a booking for two nights but decided to cancel the 2nd night.

Stayed here on an overnight stay on the way down to Brittany. The hotel was typical for a branded hotel (clean, presentable, tidy, etc) however, the restaurant was being renovated during our stay so the breakfast was served in a temporary area on the second floor and the bar was being used to serve food. The hotel room was ok but the WIFI was very slow and kept dropping connection. Our 6th floor family room had a balcony without a child proof lock so we ended up wedging the sofabed against the balcony door. Breakfast tables were left uncleared and the food offering was limited. Location is right next to a marina and new shopping centre, which is good for a wander around. Parking is an underground carpark that had loads of spaces and was slightly tight to manoeuvre around if youve a big car.

This was the worst of our vacation. They advertised this as a four star with slippers and a mini coffee bar. What we got was a bed with a black hair in it. A spider on the ceiling and a fly buzzing around the room. There were only two towels and we had our adult son with us. We went to ask for another towel and they told us to go look again because there were three. We looked again and found only two so we went back to the desk and the clerk argued with us again! We asked for a towel and he got us a hand towel. The breakfast looked good but we went to eat at 9:00 am and there was very little food left and we were told that breakfast ends at 9:30 and they would not be making more. So we checked out and went to McDonalds. The worst part of the whole experience was that the next day, we saw that even though we had prepaid for the room through hotels.com, the hotel also charged us not once, but twice!! When we called the hotel, we were told the manager would call back, she never did. We called periodically throughout the day and was told that she was busy and would call back. Finally, we contacted hotels.com and they took care of the problem immediately.

Good business hotel near to the town centre

We stayed as an adult family over an extended Easter break. The staff worked very hard but appeared rather run off their feet at times. The breakfast buffet was good but the evening restaurant was only reasonable if they were not run off their feet... if they were too busy the service and the food quality suffered. I felt they did their best and we had an enjoyable time but would probably chose to eat out in the evening if we stayed there again.
