It’s a beautiful hotel with a lovely pool/spa area too. We stayed in a Treehouse Room which was lovely but 3 floors was a bit of a pain, wouldn’t stay in that room type again but happily at the hotel. Food and drink was also excellent.

Lovely experience at Cowley manor, shame the steam room wasn’t working.
Had a room change due to noisy neighbours and the hotel were really accommodating.
Breakfast options were great, beautiful grounds and very comfy beds.

Can’t really fault the hotel apart from one small instance where we asked reception to book us a taxi to get us to our dinner reservation, but they had forgotten and we ended up being 30 mins late, otherwise it was great and the food was excellent. Decor was stunning, and the bathrooms were a particular highlight.
The spa however really let the side down, and considering it’s a spa hotel makes it overall quite disappointing. The staff aren’t helpful in the spa, the steam room was unavailable all weekend, lack of staff led to a limited menu at pool bar then our couples massage was cancelled an hour before because there wasn’t enough staff, they offered an unsuitable replacement (facial) or a different date but we aren’t local so it was of no use to us and meant we didn’t use the spa that day. The responses from main reception at checkout and the spa was unsatisfactory which is disappointing for a luxury hotel.

We had the most incredible stay for our baby moon. It’s such a stunning location. Really special! The restaurant and bar staff, the design, the atmosphere is just perfect.

A great stay in a wonderful place. The setting was lovely and the food brilliant. The spa was great too - but it was a shame that the staff seemed so inexperienced / unaware of how the systems worked there. Apart from this frustration, everything else was brilliant.

Loved our weekend here - amazing property and grounds - really great food - very relaxing.
Decor - tired and overly themed and the French designer clearly prioritised style over comfort and doesn’t know how to design a chair. The spa is beautiful but the treatments were underwhelming and a bit basic for the £££. So in summary a contemporary and beautiful property run by kids - very lovely kids who tried hard…but kids all the same. Feels like a grown up needs to get a hold of this place.

Nice hotel, lots of potential, slightly tired in place but a cute blend of old and new. Not the greatest service, (maybe we expected too much) nice people with zero urgency. Lovely spa and pool area. Food is good, cocktails overpriced (£20) and whoever thinks charging £5 for water is acceptable? All in all a nice stay

The most comfortable nights sleep in the most beautiful, quirky hotel room. The hotel itself is stunning, set in expansive, landscaped grounds with ample communal spaces. The food in the restaurant was delicious, service impeccable and attention to detail really impressive. At check in, George was welcoming, friendly, professional and pleasant. He set the tone for a fabulous, relaxing stay.

The hype related to Cowley Manor's recent makeover turned out to be just that. Hype. The breakfast and dinner menu is small, but the food is fantastic. The spa is a bright spot. Overall the level and quality of service needs addressing. The side entrance to the hotel has loose and broken floor tiles that are in need of significant repair. All in all a somewhat underwhelming visit despite initial high hopes.

We visited Cowley Manor Experimental to celebrate my partners birthday and from the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make it extra special. The Hotel and grounds are very impressive and the spa was a great bonus. Overall an amazing stay and would definitely return.

Beautiful Manor House set in stunning grounds with lake and waterfalls. Huge clean and comfortable rooms, excellent food and wine choice. Check-in and check -out could have been a bit more organised, but that really is a minor detail.

This was our first visit since the change in ownership. Really enjoyed our stay and had a lovely room and breakfast. Couldn't be tempted by the menu for lunch and dinner though - apart from the scones. Fortunately there were lovely options (The Green Dragon and Knead) nearby which we felt were more us and better value. Please sort out your menu, Cowley Manor!

Booked based on photos on website which looked great but reality was far different. Room in stable block dark cold and gloomy - there was no working heating anywhere in block. Spa full of noisy children and pool time cut short as one was sick in pool! Breakfast was poor and lacked care and attention typified by both myself and wife having egg shell in ours eggs benedict. Was a relief to check out so we could enjoy the fabulous area. Wish we had stayed at the close by Green Dragon next time which we found much more hospitable with great food too

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location. We were there for a spa and although the indoor pool was actually closed that day thankfully the weather was great and the outdoor pool lovely.
Room was lovely with a great private terrace. Service in the restaurant & bar also very good. Autumn made us the best margarita and was so friendly like all the team.

Had a lovely stay to celebrate our anniversary. The location and grounds are beautiful. The accomodation is very impressive - our room was beautifully furnished and so spacious. The restaurant food was outstanding and a very impressive breakfast. The spa facilities were also excellent.

Amazing stay, driving distance to Cheltenham
Really good fast service and food and drink were always hot and prompt. Better than a lot of hotels we have stayed at, well trained staff. Amazing room and bed and hotel

Only complaint would be the "children" time slots in the spa were not observed and every time we visited it was full of kids loud and not very relaxing!

Serene, romantic getaway in the peaceful Cotswolds hills. My partner and I had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and you have everything you need at the spa.

Overall it was a good hotel and good facilities. Although for a 5 star hotel it needs a bit of attention to detail, more staff training. For the 3 times I asked a bowl at breakfast the waiter had his finger inside it, amenities and mini bar in the room not replaced. The Spa is was clean and enjoyable place to be, although the staff member bearly noticed that we were coming in, for the type of hotel I would expect at least a free cup of tea.
We would come back for sure, the restaurant food it was stunning and the head chef menu was amazing.

Very friendly and when we got into the hotel/ manor Clare the receptionist showed us around and showed us how to use the coffee machine which we couldn’t get it to work so she got us a kettle and coffee to go with it. The leisure facilities were great and the restaurant food was not to my taste and breakfast was different but filling the only thing that I thought was wrong was you had to pay for a cooked breakfast but don’t need. Very clean and the house keeping was done twice a day would go back
