I arrived late with my reservation. The rude, unprofessional woman at the desk did not greet me. She did not say hello, she tried to find a way to keep me from checking in and consulted with the manager. I am n American and I felt like she wanted me to be inconvienced as possible. After she resigned to the fact that I was staying I was given a room. She did not tell me about the pool, restaurant or any of the amenities. After checking in I stepped out side for a minute and I saw that she allowed an obvious prostitute enter with an awaiting guest. She smiled at the two of them as they went to his room. So I am angry that she treats US citizens rudely and the sex trade cordially. The priorities here are wrong.

Over all OK besides the included complimentary breakfast being remarkedly stingy and the place was very tight and crowded.

Nice, clean, and pleasing property. The Pool area, although small, was very inviting. I didn't like that the TVs in our rooms didn't work. I called the front desk to have them check them, but no one fixed them.

We were only going for one night, our room was clean and comfortable. Good for the price.

The room has several issues with: - A/A is not working - the toiltet dirty - smell so bad I was there only 6 hours

I am a handicap and they assign me a room where I need to use the stairs, I asked to change my room, and they were unable. The guy said: this is what we have if you don't like it, leave.

There was not enough handicap accessibility and the beds were very hard to sleep on.

IT TOOK 15 MINUTES TO GET WARM WATER N THE SHOWER (JUST WARM)

The hotel is fine. The location is a little noisy due to a busy road (depending on the room you get) Basic, but good breakfast.

Very nice,very clean rooms and great breakfast. The only drawback is that the cafe only opens at 7am

The hotel offered exactly what it advertised. Our sofa bed was broken and very uncomfortable, but our 10 year old just slept sideways and didnt complain. It was too cold to use the pool, but it was beautiful and well kept; a hot tub would have been nice. Although we dont speak Spanish and none of the staff speak English, everyone was friendly and kind.

Very nice stay, clean rooms, staff very helpful during the stay. It is a very good reference for business trip to Tampico.

Room is bigger than standard, pool is nice but needs a lot of daily cleaning.

Not the best location. Breakfast only cheap continental we paid for additional. Staff badic no smiles. They are defietelly not used to non me ican tourists.

Close to restaurant, shopping areas, and convenient access to downtown from here ... Good location. Great hotel for your money.

it was nice to stay there, the kids loved the pool. the only thing i didnt like is the fact of the charges to make calls from the room to a restaurant to do some delivery, they charge to call out. i guess is mexico and what can you expect but when you travel international and phone doesnt work there, it makes it hard. also they will not let my dad or my brother or my friends to come up into the room to visit me and to help to pack or unpack or anything. i found that kind of ridiculous

We were so happy. It has been a very nice experience at Tampico.

Great Hotel to stay at, arrived early and they allowed me to check in early, busy area but no noise problem. Room was in the back of the hotel so the view was parking lot and back of KFC Restr. Room was stuffy going in, but cleared up once the air was turned on. 2 beds, desk, dresser, small flat screen, no micro or frig, room did have a room safe!!! Beds were hard, but acceptable, slept good. Hotel has pool, business center is in lobby. Breakfast is okay, but if you want eggs, sausage and pancakes go out. Parking is good, but tight might want to go to second level and walk down. This is Ice Machine and Water, plus 2 water bottles, only 2 bath towels so don't leave towels at the pool. Staff is friendly and will help. If you put your DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door the staff will call your room, so take the phone off the hook if you don't want to be disturb otherwise, they just won't knock on your door. 1st time staying and it was great, I would stay again.

I stayed may 6 2014 is low vacation season, and everything is fine, the room is big and air condition is really nice, it have not remote control but is fine. is about 8 minutes to the downtown and about 20 minutes to beach. should be less time but is closed one avenue for maintenance. one thing common in all the hotels i have been, the tv signal is really bad, but at the end you don't go hotel to watch tv, so i don't care. the people is really nice and polite.
