The Hotel Palms is absolutely perfect for exploring the sites of Pompeii! It’s about a 12 minute walk away to the main entrance and a great hotel for staying with kids. The rooms were really comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic however the best part was the staff. They were super friendly and always wanted to be helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Fabulous hotel. Staff all spoke excellent English and were incredibly helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean, large, and well kept. Wonderful views of the city/Vesuvius, and the outdoors patio was lovely. Super convenient location close to the Circumvesuviana metro line, and easy walking distance to the Pompeii ruins, many restaurants (Na Pasta was our favorite!), and gelateria. Favorite part of our trip was the time in Pompeii. You won't go wrong staying here!

Good location central to Pompeii. Limited meals available at the restaurant. Buffet breakfast very limited. Staff friendly and helpful. Convenient for the Circumvesuvio train line.

Great location for a trip to Pompei and Vesuvius. I’d probably suggest it’s more like a solid 3 star hotel, staff were good with an authentic feel but the rooms need a bit of repair and updating. Size it was okay for two adults and two kids and price wasn’t bad for the location but I’ve not really had local comparisons.

The Hotel Palma is a great location to visit the Pompeii Archeological site and also the Pompei Basilica (a must visit) and then have restful night in an elegant comfortable room, to wake up to a delicious breakfast in the morning. Recommended.

It’s in a lovely location behind the church. Easy & quick access to all cafes & restaurants (including a vegan patisserie, my heaven!)
Staff were very friendly & helpful.
The hot tub & having drinks on the roof terrace really finished off some lovely days in Pompei, we loved it.

No curtain for the shower in a tub so every bath made the bathroom a mess. No towel hanger. Awful pillows that were torn and spotty, but they had extra in the closet.

We stayed only one night. The only thing I can say is that our pillows were super hard.
Otherwise it was perfect and to check out at 1100 even better.

Excellent location, right next to a train station. Walking distance to the sites local restaurants. Very clean and decent shower.

Very convenient to train station across the piazza and to back gate of ancient Pompeii which is only about a 6-7 minute walk up the street, safe neighborhood, comfy bed, large room with wrap-around balcony, super clean (Room 121 looked new), all in-room amenities worked, plenty of hot water, quick Wifi connection, great service, good breakfast to start your day, all with an independent laundry right next door. Would rather have had a bath, but small shower stalls are typical in Europe. Would definitely stay there again!

Great staff were very helpful with suggestions for our stay in Pompeii. The room was a good size for our family and the hotel is in a very convenient location, close to the ruins and the train station.

This hotel is close to the city centre and offers free parking.
The staff was not so friendly upon arrival.
The room was small with a dirty window on the top part of the wall (like in a factory...): impossible to see outside!
The shower unit was old and the silicone was black. Besides, they wrote COLD and HOT on some discoloured piece of paper. It looks miserable
- Only biscuits and cakes for breakfast

We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Palma in Pompeii! We had outstanding service from Catello, Nanjela, and Luigi: they worked so hard to make sure our stay was the best experience possible—thank you! I didn’t want to leave! The hotel was above our expectations and was clean and welcoming. The dinner we had was our best meal in Italy! I’m still dreaming about it! When traveling abroad, it is hard to know where to stay, but you will be happy you spent time at Hotel Palma! It was an easy walk to the ruins and in the center of town with lots to do. The rooftop area was beautiful with views of Vesuvius. We will be back!

Good breakfast, next door to a beautiful church. Pompeii ruins are a few blocks from this hotel well worth the stay. Ask at front desk for a guide for the ruins very reasonable price.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were continental style but plentiful. We couldn't go out to eat one evening as it was very wet and we had wet shoes. The hotel staff ordered us takeaway pizza and opened the restuarant for us to eat it in comfort. It was excellent. As usual with Italy the taxi's were very expensive but public transport was easy to use and cheap. Thank you for a lovely break.

From the time we arrived, everything was fantastic. Very welcoming staff, friendly and helpful. Very close to Pompeii ruins, walking easily to shops and restaurants and beautiful historic church. Tourist information centre was very close. Subway train station was right across the street and easy to take. Great staff and great selection for breakfast buffet. Very clean and modern.

Outdated, drain issues in the sink and shower. The second night there I cut my foot and finger on broken glass in the room the shower head broke off on me and the parking situation sucks it’s street parking and limited so good luck if your out late!

Within walking distance to the ruins, train, and shopping. Staff are all very helpful and nice. Cold ac and plentiful breakfast. It is an older bldg with old world charm. Would stay here again.

This hotel was a lovely surprise! Super friendly and helpful staff! Spacious rooms, great to have air conditioning! Walking distance to ruins and great restaurants! Rooftop patio was a beautiful place to relax! Breakfast included a very nice bonus! Definitely recommend!

You feel like you are at home with the family. Very friendly, helpful and caring staff. Nice size room, my view from the balcony was Vesuvius volcano and the hotel is really walking distance to Pompei. I walked to there and it took me 15-20 without rush . So many shops and restaurants around. Nice parklike area with a huge historic building closed by. Nice breakfast , the street is noisy during the day but it’s very quiet at night. I loved my staying there , i had a car and finding a parking spot is difficult but the hotel manager helped and showed me a public parking very very close to the hotel which i parked my car there and paid €15 per day.

The Hotel Palma staff were very helpful and friendly .The location could not have been better for exploring the area and also very close to the train station for exploring further afield .Good breakfast and an amazing view from the roof terrace.

Friendly and helpful service from reception. The hotel was right near the Circumvesuviana railway station which was a useful convenience, but also away from the more touristy area yet with some good restaurants nearby. Our room was comfortable and well appointed, and the free upgrade was a nice touch that we appreciated!
One thing to note is that the hot tub on the roof isn’t in use outside the peak summer season (we went in May, and the hotel said they don’t operate it until June). Nonetheless the roof terrace was a nice area to sit on a warm afternoon.

The only thing I would have liked is to have coffee in the room so that we could make one rather than have to go down to the bar. The roof terrace would be lovely in the summer, we went up there and the views are good. A good hotel with very helpful staff and a good base for our 2 nights in Pompei.

Lovely little hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast setup. The only negative is that the claim of soundproofed rooms is a little rich as people speaking in the next room is quite audible!
