Siracusa has been the highlight of our 10 days in Sicily so far and Algilà Ortigia was a great place to visit. Staff was friendly and several went out of their way to be helpful. We are good walkers and could walk to all parts of Ortigia, the island you want to stay on, and be there within 15 minutes.
We had a junior suite that was large with several separate areas.
Full service breakfast was good, not great.
Bed was very big but not the most comfortable
Despite these minor things, all four of us loved the hotel and location

Everything was lovely. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Room came equipped with fully stocked and included mini bar.

A very nice hotel with wonderful service. Excellent breakfast. Room (suite with rooftop terrace and jacuzzi) was a little disappointing for the price. Room was a bit small and bathroom facilities aging. Jacuzzi was excellent and rooftop view quite nice.

Our room was cozy and the staff friendly. Decent breakfast and the location to the old city was great. Only complaint was the bathroom was too small and could use some updating. We enjoyed our stay.

Very nice area. Roof top terrace with hot tub. Small room. Air conditioning worked well. Not happy about Stairs. You are able to pick up the safe not so safe.

I believe the staff here is awesome! They are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It id not matter if you dealt with the concierge, front desk, restaurant staff, or house staff they all had a smile and could not be more accommodating! I would love to return again someday.

Our fwmily of 5 loved the 2 bedroom connected suite! It had a sea view out 2 window. Walkable to all areas and safe area! Lovely breakfast and friendly staff!

The hotel was in a perfect location for exploring the town. The hotel had allot of charm and character and was beautifully updated while keeping all of the original character. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

ery was great, sea view, area quiet and clean-facilities beautiful-breakfast excellent. There are lots of stair to and in some of the rooms. If this is an issue they can accommodate a different area I believe! Very helpful staff!

This hotel is exceptional in every way. It is absolutely gorgeous- inside & out. The location is ideal- right on the water and close to everything, as well as very safe. The ceilings, the canopy bed, the tiles in the bathroom, the flooring, the stairwell- everything was beautiful and it is the absolute cleanest room I have ever stayed in. The breakfast was great, with fill-your-own cannoli, pastries, yogurt and more. I hope I can return to beautiful Siracusa and I will definitely be staying here.

We stayed in room 362, a superior double. It was beautiful, very clean and spacious and the elegant bathroom had two doors - his and hers! The hotel was really quiet at night and we didn't hear a sound of any other guests. The public areas are impressive, a beautiful airy, cool lounge, with free tea and coffee in the afternoons. As other guests have said, the breakfast is excellent with a full menu of hot dishes plus the buffet, and, unlike so many hotels, there is always a table available for breakfast. Altogether, just about the best hotel I have ever stayed in - although also the most expensive!

Booked Algila at the last minute having found our original hotel unsatisfactory on arrival. Staff were excellent - extremely pleasant and helpful and recommended great restaurants every evening. The hotel is lovely and the beds were comfortable. Valet parking was available (at a cost) and free beach towels were provided.

We have just returned from the most amazing week at this hotel. We had Room 401 which has a private hot-tub and amazing rooftop terrace overlooking the sea and with a view of Mount Etna in the distance. The hotel staff are all lovely and made our stay very magical. We would especially like to thank Denise on the front desk and Sarah, Carla and Munda for the service at breakfast. There are probably others but these are the names we remembered. The hotel is fantastic as is Ortegia. We would love to return one day.

Very comfortable stay. Great location in the old city near lots of restaurants shopping and the sea. Staff was helpful. We did have some hiccups because we were there at low season and told we didn’t need dinner reservations. However if you are going to a popular restaurant that the locals love you absolutely need dinner reservations. Breakfast was good. You can stuff your own cannolis with ricotta filling. Some of the best I have had in Sicily. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming.

The receptionist recommended a very expensive restaurant nearby, the food and service is definitely not worth the money($208) for an ordinary dinner! She furthermore recommended a tour of the city for 180 Euros for 3 hours and cash only, fortunately we did not fall for it! We are really unhappy of this encounter!

Located in the beautiful Ortigia area of Syracusa, this hotel exudes old-world charm. Our junior suite has two balconies that look like they came out of a Romeo-Juliet story. Marcello at front desk was very helpful assisting us with dinner reservations.
