The hotel is in a perfect location. It’s a little outdated and small. But the people, the views and the food is what make it wonderful!

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and we spent two night here. The hotel is wonderful, the people very nice and helpful and the town is a great place to have base to then go on to explore the rest of the region.

Hotel and staff were excellent, parking under the Hotel. Everything in town was walkable, sone very nice some completely rude to us being American. Would not let that reflect at all on the hotel or location, we had a deck with a beautiful view of town and the small marina.

The front desk staff was very attentive to our every need. The room was comfortable and luxurious sheets. The best restaurant in Porto Venere is in Grand Hotel ..... no need to go anywhere! We loved our stay and would return.

Portovenere was a pleasant surprise from start to finish.
The city is charming, but we wouldn't have enjoyed it as much if we hadn't stayed at the Grand Hotel Portovenere. The hotel is magnificent, the breakfast is great, the bar-restaurant is delicious and has great views.
But the best thing was the kindness of its people: at reception, in the restaurant, the luggage service and cleaning staff. All outstanding. We immensely enjoyed the Beach Club affiliated with the hotel and the yacht with which we went for a ride during the sunset.
Congratulations sincerely for having a world class hotel.

Beautiful location! Great view with balcony. The staff was super friendly, very helpful, and all spoke great English.

This hotel was excellent for many reasons. The staff made sure that we got everything we needed. Food was excellent and restaurant staff was very attentive. The area is convenient for walking to restaurants, shops , and sights. Also, you can take the ferry to Cinque Terre across from the hotel.

Property is good location to walk around the area with lots of dining options around. Rooms are a little small. Parking garage is hard to find and very tight space to drive in and out. Staff was friendly.

The staff was super amazing!!! Alessandra, Sarah and Genluca were above and beyond helpful including the guys who parked the car. The property is well maintained, clean and very comfortable with amazing views and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The terrace, restaurant are lounge are very cozy and lovely. Breakfast was superb. Top notch hotel. Definitely coming back next year!!!

The hotel is so close to the ferry which takes you to all the towns. The entire staff was just amazing and so helpful. Very beautiful hotel. The town itself was so nice. We had a blast.

The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very knowledgeable and friendly and really aimed to please! I wasn’t sure if it would be a problem not to officially stay in Cinque Terre but the hotel was right across the street from the ferry dock and there were plenty of restaurants and things to do in Portovenere so it was actually a relief to come back at night and escape from the crowds in the other towns.

Great location and quiet spot. My only complaint is lack of fitness/spa and beach on site. These items are outsourced to local vendors.

This is an exceptional hotel and a great launching point for Cinque Terre. The staff was helpful and polite and the on site restaurants were delightful.
