We really liked this hotel. It was spotlessly clean, quiet a nd with comfortable beds and we slept like logs. Staff very helpful and we appreciated the complimentary water and soft drinks. The location couldn't be better, right by via Etna - loved it, wouldn't hesitate to book again.

I like the security. I like that they helped set up tours. I like that it is center City and walking distance to many sights and good shopping. I did not like no carpet in the room. I did not like no view of any kind (kept window closed). I did not like elevator stopped in between floors but I adapted.

It is an old building in the strolling and shopping area. Has an historical vibe for me. Room was simple but all ok. AC was great.

The hotel was in an older style with beautiful rooms where the older floors and ceiling paintings have been preserved

Staff are very friendly and accomodative. Would recommend this hotel for a stay in center of Catania

Pros - excellent location in the historic centre, comfortable bed, good AC
Cons - The triple room is a double bed and a single bed, not the advertised twin bed (and the receptionist wouldn’t even consider discussing it). Very basic hotel with a small room for the price. Elevator only takes you between floors, so you’ll want to avoid this hotel if you’re disabled or injured.
Basically does the job for a short stay, but overpriced for the quality that’s provided

Very accommodating service! I arrived late for check-in, but the staff set everything up to make it easy for me to get situated and rest. The reception area is lovely, with frescoes. Centrally located off Via Etnea, a very lively if somewhat chaotic shopping district that runs through the center of the city.

The front room ib the Baroque style is a total selling point.
The fact you have to check in by 10pm is a bit harder when on later flights. You need to arrange codes etc. That can be stressful to arrange.

It's in the perfect part of town and super close to a lot of activities within walking distance. The rooms are beautiful and check in and out was easy

The hotel is classical European. There was air conditioning throughout the suite and both rooms were beautiful. The suite had a small refrigerator with free water and juices. There was no microwave in the room but there are plenty of restaurants in the area. Both rooms had the most beautiful painted ceilings.
The shower was small but decent enough. The staff was also very efficient and pleasant.
If you are expecting American style hotel rooms with lots of amenities, this hotel is not for you. But if you want a classic Italian style hotel in a centrally located area, give this place a try.

Great location in a beautiful old building. Had to leave early before breakfast so can’t comment on it.

Beautiful Roman feel in the room loved the massive vaulted ceiling

The hotel is on a sidestreet off the main Via Etnea but it felt safe and actually surprisingly quiet except for some loud drumming on a couple of nights which ended by 11pm. I had an economy single room which was basic but good value for money with a mini bar fridge in the room and tea/coffee making facilities at reception available 24/7. As advertised the room is not en suite but has a private toilet/shower room down the corridor and around the corner which wasn't a problem for me. The location of the hotel is excellent for exploring Catania; the rooms and communal areas were cleaned daily and well maintained (although the furniture is a little tired but you must expect that for the cost) and the staff were polite and helpful. I would not hesitate to stay there again in the future. As a bonus there is also an impressively decorated room next to the reception that is well worth checking out!

Good base to explore Catania. The room was a good size and comfortable. The tea making facility was a nice touch.

Simply super. Even better you expect based on the reviews. I liked the exiting entrance to the grand very old building, the elevator to take luggage up to the floors, the paintings in the ceilings, the tea and coffee facilities, and the so kind reception. Only issue is the unreliable water pressure.
Location, indeed only 10 minutes flat walk to Borselino bus station, a couple of minutes to Stesicoro or wherever. Still, even the Via Minoriti side room was quiet enough.

Hotel is located on the most central street in Catania, Via Etnea.
The owner is very friendly and helpful, he will answer any of your questions and help whenever needed
Rooms are beautiful and very spacious, they have a balcony, refrigerator, private bathroom.
There is also a cofee machine in the hallway.
Although it us on a noisy street, the room is soubdproof. Loved the vintage vibe to it.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone exploring Catania

Check in was perfect, they let me drop my bags off early so I didn’t have to carry them round.
Check out on the other hand, I needed to check out at 8am and there was no one on reception. It is supposed to be staffed at 8am. I called the number on the door and got send to voicemail twice, in the end I missed my bus and had to wait at the bus stop for forty minutes for the next one

I really liked the location and the decor of the building - inside and out.
The pricing is very reasonable and the staff is great.
I had a large room with private, external, bathroom down the hall. Room was great; bathroom sadly had some issues with water leaking onto the floor, but this was duly reported to the management, so should not be a problem in future.

Was just in Catania by myself for one night as my travelling companions had earlier departures. Was looking for a safe, clean, conveniently located accommodation and Gattopardo House perfectly fit the bill. Check-in/-out were quick and easy and the room with private bath was updated, clean and comfortable. Well situated right off the pedestrian zone with short walk to airport direct shuttle bus service. Great stay, would reccommend.

Beautiful old building, family owned near the center of Catania, Sicily. Everything was seemless.

Accommodation is in the heart of the historic centre of town just next to the church of the archangel Michael. Trattoria Cavaliere is a very good and inexpensive place to eat nearby. The Metro is easy to reach on foot and the central railway station is just one stop away at Giovanni XXIII. Take a walk round cathedral square at night and soak up the atmosphere of this lovely town under the protection of the early church martyr St Agatha.

Great location, in the center of Catania, within walking distance from major attractions, shops and restaurants. The building is from the 18th century, so don't expect anything modern. The rooms are clean, big and in fairly good condition.

There are a few problems in the shower room.

Ideally located in central Catania in a historic building. Can walk to most places of interest. Does involve some stairs. Staff are friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful stay

Very central accommodation. A bit of an old building and old furnishings. Nothing special, but it's sufficient for one night. In my room, the bathroom was in the hallway in a separate room, but it was just for me. It was okay.

Excellent location and comfort with more authentic charm. We had plenty of room in the spacious room we rented for 3 nights and 2 days. It was easy to navigate around the city with this location being so central.

The hotel is great and in a wonderful spot. The gentleman who greeted me was great and helpful. I would correct a few things- additional pillows, the AC was not cold, and maybe install a water fountain or machine. the place had a coffee machine and hot water which was great! overall, i would stay there again.
