This is a lovely place to stay and enjoy the village.
So relaxing, great location, and wonderful hosts Silvia and Marcelo.
If you want to explore the Italian Lakes region, and enjoy a village atmosphere, we recommend Mamma Ciccia and Mandello del Lario.

We had a great stay at Mamma Ciccia’s. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast was delicious offering a choice of pastries, meat and cheese, yogurts and bread. Hot drinks were made to order.
The facilities were perfect. We stayed in a small, very clean, 1 bed apartment with sofa bed in the kitchen area. Location was incredible! Situated on the lake Como in the beautiful area of Mandello del Lario. Lots of little shops, bakeries and restaurants within walking distance and perfect location for the ferry.
We would definitely stay at Mamma Ciccia in the future. Thank you for a great holiday!

I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the apartment interior reflected it's antique surroundings. It's always a bummer when you find an old inn and the inside is decorated in modern furnishings.
Beds are comfortable and there is enough storage. Bedrooms are separated with private bath down the hall. Breakfast is also very nice. We did not get a chance to have other meals here.

Lovely stay at Mama Ciccia's, very comfortable beds, lovely breakfasts in the square, very helpful staff that were able to provide information about a train strike and put my mind at ease. 2 mins walk to the lake front, restaurants and bars. Train station 10 minutes walk. Great location.

Lovely town. Very nice room. Restaurant at the hotel was one of the best in our travels throughout Italy. Train station is close. Proprietor and all employees extraordinarily friendly and helpful.

Nice little hotel in a good location with nicely furnished cosy room. Super welcoming staff. Rich breakfast in the bistro. We would definitely book here again

Clean, airy room with the best ac control and most comfortable bed of the trip. Good breakfast. My room had an amazing shower (unfortunately v slow drain but I suspect if I’d stayed long enough that I’d told them it would’ve been fixed in a flash). Friendly, helpful staff even helped me arrange covid testing for my return flight. Hotel is only a few minutes easy walk from the ferry and under ten from the train. I would stay again in a flash.

Checkin was fast and efficient.
Was a busy Friday night so town was busy and close parking was difficult.
Upgraded to a 2 bedroom self contained apartment which was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend.

Very clean and super spacious rooms. Very close to the lake in old village. Free large municipal parking close by. Super friendly staffs. Maybe WiFi was down on the night that we stayed.

They even offered to park my motorcycle in their garage.

Mamma circus ic a homely little hotel/restaurant in a very quaint piazza in a quaint little town on the side of lake Como. You can spend your time living like an Italian , which , believe me, is not a bad way to live.

our stay was comfortable nice rooms, very good kitchen with everything you need, so we could preaper our dinner with pleasure. about location nice place close to the lake, to have a rest and enjoy, every day you could go out with ship to different amazing places like Melagio, Belaggio and ....thank you very much for your hollidays

We travel with 2 little kids and we love the room we received. Super big for the 4 of us, with windows, we can see a little bit of the lake, little kitchen included and a wonderful big bathroom. All remodeled..look brand new and super extra clean. Our room was located in the first floor of a different building around the corner of the hotel next to the church.There is some stairs to get there..nothing serious. Mandelo del lario was a beautiful and great location to visit all the towns of lake como. We rented a car and also used the vaporettos and little trains around. So much fun for the kids. The owner is a really nice lady with the kids and extra helpful with us. We absolutely recommended it. Breakfast was fine ..typical Italian breakfast. We havent has the time to eat at the restaurant but I heard is really good. We went to a restaurant close to the hotel with a marvelous lake view just Wonderful. For the kids there is a beautiful park great playground area next to the lake..so close to the hotel.

The breakfast was adequate.In future we would stay in a town with more facilities and better transport options. The ferry only comes to Mandello in the peak season except on Sundays.
