Property is really well designed and it is very comfortable. Facilities are outstanding.

Very good hotel

Lovely apartment hotel, set away from Main Street which is very busy and could be noisy. Staff were very helpful, medical centre and ski hire also very easy to access. Stayed in Sveta block and skied straight from boot room. 5min walk to restaurants & grocers. Bonus Spa for down days.

Nice apartments and of a good size. We had a 2 bed with balcony for 2 adults, 3 kids. Although designed to sleep 6 it would be right on space. For our group or 4 adults, it’s ideal. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The only negative I can mention, and it is minor, is that we arrived late evening and there is nowhere to get essentials. A simple welcome pack would have helped here. All in all, a great location and I would stay again.

Very good. Pool a welcome faculty at the end of a day skiing.
Sofa bed could be comfier but not a huge deal.
Ability to order pastries each day really good.
Great location for ski in / ski out.

We loved that the flat was split level. It was much bigger than our expectation and of really great specifications.

Great to have spa, gym and pool there. A little far for grocery shopping if you plan to cook in the apartment. Overall great experience.

Loved our stay at L’Amara. Took a couple days to figure out the place. But once we did we were blown away with the organization of the place. Kids were picked up outside the hotel reception at 9am daily to go to ski school. It was a 30 second walk from the ski locker to the horse sleigh ride to ski school- amazing! The 2 restaurants were great; coffee pods from reception so easy and delicious; and ordering pastries and bread for breakfast each more was seamless. We didn’t use any of the kids nursery services but the room looked fun/cute. I think some of the other hotels / apartments to rent are more convenient if you are looking to go out more - but L’Amara was seriously perfect! We will be back next year.
The one negative was the bed duvets were so thick and too hot. I wish I had taken a sheet out of the closet to use instead of the duvet.

Great location, spacious apartment, nice staff, parking under ground.

overall very nice stay, apartment was clean and spacious. Duplex layout with bedrooms downstairs was a nice surprise and bathrooms were very nicely equipped and finished.
Disappointing that bar closed at 9pm each day and no food or drink was available (not even a vending machine) on day of arrival after a late (10pm) check-in. Ability to order food to be delivered to rooms ahead of arrival would be a good additional service to offer.

Another amazing stay at L’Amara. Fantastic spacious apartments and an amazing pool. Looking forward to next year already

Fantastic accommodation in an amazing location. Views were stunning and the apartments of a really nice quality. Only minor complaints are the pool was a bit too cold and the rooms a bit too hot.

This was our second stay at L'Amara. Fantastic for a family stay. We had a 2 bedroom apt which was perfecrt size for the 5 of our and really comfortable beds (incl the sofa bed!)
Swimming pool are is large, really clean and is perfect for unwinding with the family after a day on the slopes.
Definately considering booking a third year in a row for 2021
Another huge plus for us is if you get a private transfer, you get dropped off in the hotel's underground carpark just below reception. Its the only hotel in Avoriaz you can get dropped straight to the door (i think)

All good except We were on the ground floor so there was noise from outside at night

It was a great holiday.

The family apartment was big and comfort. But we recieved only two small shampoo bottles for 5 persons for two nights, we had to pay 20 Euros for parking, we had to pay 5 Euros for loosing a simple plastic key (which in all hotels in the world you do not need to return), no breakfast included, no tea, coffee or milk in the room.
The hotel outside look very old. The inside is fine.

please be aware the Jacuzzi is extra charge

Ski in ski out and a great pool & sauna facilities for after skiing.

We had an unfortunate experience due to the room we were assigned, also being assigned to another family and my wire was rudely awakened by the arrival into the room by the other family. The matter was resolved by PV during our stay who agreed to refund €250 made via Hotels.com but 3 weeks later I have not seen any credit and no easy way to contact Hotels.com to enquire!

Good space for a family. Supermarkets a bit limited.

Nice spa, pool, gym, sauna, and steam rooms. Good location for ski rentals, slopes, and supermarche. However, given the 10min walk to Festival and local restaurants, it would be nice if the bar stayed open longer (430pm-9pm), and if there was access to food in the hotel. Otherwise a very pleasant stay!

Ideal place for a family ski trip. The hotel kids club is a bargain at 100 Euros for they accept are 3 year olds, so for our two year old we used the local nanny service. The ski in ski out is ideal. The hotel is five minutes from the ESF ski school and kids get collected in the mornings by a horse and cart. For younger children it is advisable for an adult to follow the chidden around to help getting them off, skis on and into the ESF.
We will definitely go again.

The underground corridors to connect the residence to the reception and spa was great. Location of the ski hire shop and boot room made everything hassle free.

Location is great and the accommodation size was perfect for a family of four. However, the cleainess left a lot to be desired, the internet did not work most of the time, and the breakfast was not worth the money. The staff, however, were friendly amd helpful throughout our stay.

Very nice room and facilities, ski in and out but a little far from the village

Excellent base for a ski holiday. Would definitely stay again.

Great apartment. Very well equipped and comfortable. Very warm. Location is good for ski in and out though it is a 10 minute walk to the centre of the resort. In the immediate area there are 2 restaurants which are ok but expensive. The swimming pool was excellent and the water warm. Check in and out was slow. The underground car park was great. No need to drag your luggage through the resort. Overall highly recommended.

Great hotel in mountain resort of avoriaz. Rooms spacious, clean with mini kitchen. Check in was easy. Bar in hotel closes a little early at 8.30pm. Good facilities and great restaurants on site. 10 min walk into centre of avoriaz where there's plenty choice of eating places.

An amazing family ski holiday at this beautiful accommodation and resort! 5* The staff couldn't do enough to help... Excellent!

Kind of isolated, kind of hard to get to in the first place--but awesome once you're there. Great on site services, great staff, great rooms, right on top of the slopes.

Really enjoyable stay. Great facilities and location.
It seems wrong to criticise as we had a great time but there were a couple of annoyances;
1.I rang to beforehand to enquire about parking, and it wasn't very clear that we could beneath the hotel at cost. We ended up paying for indoor parking elsewhere.
2. We picked the hotel due to the spa, and particularly the outdoor Jacuzzi. We presumed the outdoor Jacuzzi would be free and part of the hotel cost (which was more than comparable hotels). It actually cost us and extra 21 euros each.
3. There was a lovely bar/ sitting/ reception area. Unfortunately the bar was closed by 7.00 each night so we never got to have a drink.

Fantastic hotel and the rooms were amazing with everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Great location for the ski slopes however it's a good 15 minute walk away from the main centre of Avoriaz which with children wasn't easy. For €20 return you can book transport from reception however there was enough to keep us occupied in Amara for the week. There are about 6 restaurants in the area and a small supermarket but no real bars to speak of so après ski was limited. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment which had 2 bathrooms, good size living space and a fully equipped kitchen. The rooms were very clean when we arrived and everything worked. The skiing in Avoriaz was extensive and links to the PdS ski area were well marked and easy to navigate. If you are a competent skier I would recommend the full area lift pass however if you’re not then there's more than enough skiing in Avoriaz. We used Le Village des Enfants ski school for the kids who are based in Avoriaz however they do collect the children from the hotel every morning. There's 2 Skiset shops right outside the hotel which was handy.
