The property looks so authentic and aged while on the inside it has been so nicely updated with really nice modern features and fixtures. This part of town of gorgeous, the restaurant downstairs amazing and the view from the balcony is awe inspiring. Best of all, the front desk staff was really helpful in pointing us in the right direction with our options for exploring the mountains.

Excellent location. Just two minute walk from Zermantt Bahnhof!. The room was very nice and clean.

The hotel was in the middle of the city, so it was convenient, and the interior of the room and bathroom was clean and nice. The breakfast included as a service was also good. However, it would have been a more satisfying accommodation if there was a refrigerator.

Stayed at Derby hotel for one night, No air conditioning so you have to keep the windows open, since they don’t have screens, you are just inviting mosquitoes and bugs in! On top of that you hear people on the street well passed the midnight.

Everything was what we expected, with the exception of noise at night. Even though we stayed in the apartment building behind the main hotel building, we experienced a lot of noise until after midnight. It was a Saturday night, and our room was directly at the end of side street next to hotel so it seemed the noise was almost amplified from the Main Street through town.

Walking distance from the train station even with luggage. Room was clean and pretty.

The location is perfect and the staff were very helpful! The rooms are newly renovated and very comfortable. We would return for our next visit

Terrific location, couple of blocks from the train station. This is an older hotel, lobby is clearly quite old. But the upper floors have be all redone. The rooms are very modern and just beautiful. Five stars all the way.

Few steps away from Main train station. Iconic landmark is the busy Derby restaurant with always long queues seen. Nice renovated room with nice balcony to see the streets.

From check-in to check-out the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to check out early and return an item to receive a cash deposit and the lady at the front desk helped us 20 mins before her shift started. With the hotel being on the main stretch, it makes walking anywhere very easy. The hotel seemed like it was newly renovated which made the stay very comfortable. The only negative review we had was the hotel hallways/lobby were very warm and had a odd scent to it. In addition, this is more a personal thing, but with the hotel being centrally located, theres a lot of partiers in the area. The two nights we were there, I had trouble sleeping from street noise and other guests at the hotel partying til 2am. This is not on the hotel, but just be aware the location can bring loud neighbors.

Great location right on the Main Street and short walk to train station. Staff were very helpful and rooms are basically new. Balcony was huge and overlooked main street out front.

We had a very pleasant stay in the family room. It is spacious, clean and cozy. The check-in process was fast and convenient.

It is located at the heart of Zermatt, easily walkable from the train station. We had a room at the first floor with a view of Mt. Matterhorn. The rooms are very comfortable and have room service for food and beverages.

The sweet lady that checked us in suggested we pay the local tax with coins we may need to get rid of - this was so helpful as we had lots of change that we needed to spend and this was the perfect option!! It was also very close to the train station and very walkable!

Loved our stay! So convenient to everything!

I was booked for 1 double bed and 1 bunk bed. The guy gave me a room with double bed which was not my room at first place. When after been in the room for couple of minutes, we asked for the bunk bed he said oh i can't open here i give you different room. So we had to move, and bcz of that we left our expensive umbrella in it. When we noticed our umbrella is left in the other room, reception was closed. Waited for the next morning. And guess what umbrella is not found. The lady did say that no one had that room since last night, also she said why the guy gave u that room when it wasn't your. Well robbers around. The receptionist guy or cleaner took our umbrella. It was very good quality and expensive. Overall had very very bad experience in this hotel.

This one is a conundrum. If you look at the pictures on hotels.com and you see the price, and it says “Mountain View” with a little icon of a mountain, and it shows in their photos what a picture of the mountain looks like, you have a pretty good hunch you’ll end up with a room that resembles the photos and will give you a peek at the Matterhorn, since that is THE mountain in the area. When you arrive to what feels like a 70’s era ski lodge room, you and look out the window to an alley and you can see into the Pategonia store across the alley, you feel like you’ve been had. A return to the front desk revealed no other rooms like the one we had were available, but they did have two completely renovated and contemporary rooms that unfortunately included bunk beds that my kids have long-since grown out of. Breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. The “Bellevue” room was a JOKE. Belle meaning “beautiful” vue meaning “view”. Put that together and what do you get?? A clean room where they put lipstick on a pig. They made up the sofa for my girls and as soon as my daughter sat in it, the pillow end (where the couch seat is) collapsed and she fell to the floor. This revealed they had not assembled the bed properly. The shower head came alive. Turn on the water and it could not be contained in any one position. It was like a cobra tossing too and fro. The decor was easily 40 years old. Brown shag carpeting too. A complete miss for a room that cost $433 USD. 9.2 Superb?

Really nice hotel on the high street but rooms are still quiet. Well appointed rooms, very clean and modern feel. Definetley go there again..

Management was very kind and flexible in changing my reservation for a day later without charge (airport delay). The hotel was very cozy, clean, and modern. The natural pine scent from the wood on the walls and roof was refreshing. The town is lovely.

The hotel was centrally located and just a few mins walk from the train station. Breakfast was great and the restaurant served good food as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We could not be happier with our stay at the Derby. Can't wait to go back!
