Beautiful hotel with excellent service. You’ll love it! Centrally located in Zermatt, just a short distance to the train station, shops/restaurants, and all three lifts to ski. This family-owned boutique hotel is luxurious and charming with careful attention to detail. They even recognized we had a birthday and surprised us with a cake! Wow! You’ll be taking photos of the beautiful woodwork your whole trip, while also admiring the view off your balcony.

The hotel is beautiful, the room is extremely comfortable with a majestic view of the Matterhorn, the location is excellent, and the staff is amazing. We had a great stay here and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Overall a very friendly and clean Hotel! We were met at the Train Station and Shuttled to the Hotel. Greeted by friendly, very professional Staff and of course a Glas of Sparkling Cider. Unfortunately the room we booked was not available due to the Guests not being able to continue their travels. The Hotel handelt this problem very professionally and we were given another room with Valley Views. There is no Restaurant in this Hotel but the Staff were very helpful in finding something to our taste. Breakfast was a highlight, surrounded by Alpin Chic, a generous, well chosen and displayed Buffet, that met all our desires. Thanks to Lina who with her charming and professional touch made this experience unforgettable. We enjoyed our Stay at this Hotel and will be recommending it to our friends and family.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

A brillian reception, with a warm welcome and two glasses of champagne we arrived. Straight away we were provided information about the area and where we could hike / cycle. The little touches throughout the week were lovely; from making the bed then unruffling just before night, or the excellent chocolates each day by the bedside table. The spa is relatively small but beautiful and all that is required.

Hotel Allalin is absolutely amazing! It’s family owned and you feel that from the moment you walk in. The staff are so attentive, the free breakfast is fantastic, and the views may be some of the best in the village. The room itself is full of hand carved wood and is so stunning, and is super comfy. The location is right near the main road of the city and is steps from everything you need. I highly highly recommend it!

From the moment I entered the hotel, the staff made me feel at home. The hotel was perfectly located for view of the Matterhorn. The room was spacious and clean. All in all a great stay, and I will definitely stay at the Swiss Alpine Hotel Allalin nest time again.

The hotel was nice but we were charged for something we weren't told before. We arrived and were told that they had a spa and that if we wanted to use the jacuzzi of the hotel, we should let them know in advance. The next day, we said we wanted to do it and they confirmed we could use it. To our surprise, when the bill arrived we had to pay CHF 40 to use the bathtub, and we told the reception that we were not informed about this (in the check in, nor by the person who booked it, nor anywhere in the room there was this info). She just shrugged and said "it's a paid service". We were really disappointed as we wouldn't use it for this price, specially when there were 4 saunas that were free. Additionally, our train was late and we didn't make it to our dinner reservation on the day we arrived and even though I wrote an email explaining the situation, the receptionist made us feel really bad about it, even though it was not our fault.

Really loved the stay.

This boutique hotel is located just off the Main Street donut is quiet and is an easy 5-10 walk from the train station. Or you can arrange a ride with their free shuttle. Check-in is unique and inviting where you sit in their lobby with a welcome drink and they come to you to walk you through the process. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. It is a boutique so he aware that the staff do leave at night and the hotel locked but you have full access still with your room key.

My husband and I just spent a lovely weekend in Zermatt. We loved the location and view from our balcony. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was comfortable. I loved the extra little touches like the little chocolate squares we were given each night and the welcome drink. Our only complaint would be that the bathrooms are a bit dated and the shower was a bit low (especially for my 62 husband!). Overall, we loved our stay and cant wait to come back!

If by luck you do have room 55, well you will have such a beautiful vue on the Matterhorn, otherwise this hotel is very nice, room are beautiful, the breakfast is lovely, at the reception they are friendly and professional, and the location is pretty cool, I can’t fault this place at all and ah yeah : the spa Center is cool too:)

Wow! The Allalin has to be one of the best hotels and overall experiences I’ve ever had traveling. We were created with champagne, rooms were immaculate, and that VIEW! We had a fantastic view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was delicious and included in the hotel also. My only complaint was the hassle of getting to and from the train station via taxi. Because cars are not allowed in the city, we had to call and wait a while to get this figured out. A better warning and instructions of how to do this, where to park, etc would be helpful from either Hotels.com or the hotel itself.

This was hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, as well as welcoming and kind. The location was phenomenal. The amenities were outstanding (greeted with a glass of sparkling?? yes please!), fresh grape juice in the room, happy hour, delicious buffet brunch, afternoon refreshments - and more! The extra touches they made to make it a wonderful stay were very appreciated, including the chocolate Matterhorn. The room was clean, beautiful (the ceilings - enough said), and had a spectacular view of the Matterhorn (if you choose that view - well worth a few extra dollars). Very great price for everything that was included. If I ever return to Zermatt, this would be the place Id stay!

The location was amazing and close to the center of town. We had a Matterhorn view that was just amazing! The staff was beyond nice and extremely kind and tentative to your every need. I will recommend this hotel to everyone!!
