Everything was excellent.

My son and I loved this property! The beach was perfect and the views were incredible! We loved being able to have a kitchen and the barbecues on site! The staff was friendly and helpful! I will be back! The only thing I could have used in our room was a broom or a mini vac for the sand that we tracked in. Not every day had housekeeping, which is fine, but I wouldn’t mind sweeping up after myself. Other than that, the property was charming and beautiful❤️

We would have given this property 5 stars, the location to a beautiful beach was outstanding, very friendly staff, condition of location was good. The reason for less stars and our only dissatisfier was, roaches, if possible we would have changed locations because living amongst roaches does not a great vacation make. We left some food out one night and saw roaches in it the next day. We highly recommend that the property do something about this ASAP.

The property itself was amazing! The views, the beach, the cottages, the staff, the amenities…all were wonderful. Very few restaurants nearby and all had limited hours, closed Sun-Tue and nothing opens early. I suggest planning to eat most meals in or travel to Christiansted for dining. Close to the pier where you will certainly see sea turtles if you snorkel, but lots to see just south of the beach in front of the cottages, too. We’ll likely be back but will do meals differently.

We loved our stay at Cottages by the Sea! The staff was kind and welcoming. The proximity to the beach was amazing, since it was maybe 100 yards from our door to the water. The Cottages were quiet. And the beach had maybe 10 people on it at its busiest. We would definitely stay here again!

Off season in St. Croix when my husband and I went. We went for our 15th Wedding Anniversary October 4th - 8th. We just missed a bad storm and had the most amazing weather. There wasn't many people on the beach. Cute bar/grill right next door. We got to see a big sea turtle right by our rental, along with turtle nests. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The house has plenty of water toys and chairs, board games and outdoor activities. This was exactly what we needed!

The staff was simply amazing, place was clean with all the amenities. The beach ⛱️ in front of the cottages is amazing. You see sea turtles and lobsters swimming on the reef. Everything is close in St Croix

If you are looking to "unplug", this is the place. A small number of cottages in different sizes, most of which open directly on the beach and ocean. Swimming and snorkeling gear are provided, and the "Sand Castle" hotel right next door has an awesome patio to enjoy sundowners while actually watching the sun go down. Understand that this isn't a Hyatt or Marriott but a locally owned and operated hotel which makes up for a squeaky door with a lot of heart and soul. There is plenty of parking, a supermarket within a mile, and the west side beaches are the nicest on the entire island. We stayed at the "Cottages by the Sea" for over a week and loved every day of it.

What a cool place to stay. My little one room cottage was perfect for my solo trip to the island. The property is right on the beach and it’s a stone’s throw from a beachside bar and restaurant. Cold A/C kept the cottage very comfortable. If I go back, I will definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing time at cottages. Everyone was so helpful and kind. You cannot beat the beach right outside your door here!

I stayed here for five days by myself in my own private cottage. I felt safe on the property. The property is well-maintained and the beach is easily accessible. The staff was also super helpful. I would definitely vacation here again. Wonderful property.

Overall it was great! Exactly as pictured, great communication and suggestions, which some of them I ignored :) I would definitely recommend renting a car especially if you don’t plan on staying at the hotel all the time or eating at the same place next door for the duration of your stay. There is really no other reliable transportation on the island. There is no Uber and cabs don’t work the same way. You have to call the day before to schedule your ride. The staff was amazing and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend!

Cottages by the Sea was everthing i expected and more.So laid back and relaxing that you cant help but let your worries disappear. The Cottages have a modern feel and very nice and clean. The Staff was always taking time to stop and say hi. Making sure everything was good. I arrived a guest but left as family. Look forward to my next visit

I have stayed here twice many years ago, it was good, but this time it has been upgraded, and beautiful! I have ZERO complaints about my visit, the property, staff, everything I needed was available, I will be back very soon for sure‼️The beach, just wonderful‼️

The cottages and grounds are delightful, located on a lovely sandy beach. The locals play very loud thumping music pretty much all day and into the night on the weekends on the beach. The cottage we stayed in was near the main road where loud vehicles and "music" was constant until about midnight or 1am

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Cottages and we found everything pretty much as advertised. Ours was an ocean view cottage with easy access to the beach. It had everything we needed, and the snorkeling out front (especially to the right) was excellent.

The pictures of the cottages do not do them justice. They are better than the pictures. You need a car to go off the property. Grocery store is quite a distance from the cottage. Restaurant prices are enormous. Chicken wings french fries pasta with chicken and a drink was $70. You may want to shop for your own food.

Absolutely loved staying here. Staff was very accommodating and helpful, easy to talk to. Access to one of the nicest beaches in St. Croix simply by staying here. We were greeted with a map of Fredericksted along with the local dining options. Very comfy room, we stayed in Cowry and it was perfect for the two of us. Easily could've had one kid stay in there as well. Will be recommending to family, and we hope to come back again.

The best place I been to in a long time. Everything here is just so perfect. From the staff to the cottages, everything has been wonderful. The best part of it all, you seriously only need to take a few steps and you are at the turquoise clear water where you get to sit back and relax or enjoy some snorkeling fun. The people who vacationed here has made my journey enjoyable as well. As they all say, this won't be the last time we visit St. Croix.

This is an amazing place to stay. The staff and other visitors were were like family during our stay. Snorkeling gear, floats, sunscreen etc were all available to guests for the beach. Frederikstead is definitely where you want to stay for a local laid back experience without the uptight tourist trap atmosphere. Downtown is just a bicycle ride away. The Cottage’s also provide bicycles to guests. The art all around Frederikstead is a must see. Sunset cruise on the Jolly Mon is a must do. I can not wait to plan my next visit.

I like how the property has easy access to your parked car, a few steps away from the beach, good communication with employees, friendly, open to the warm sun and fresh air

My fiancé and I loved this property. It was perfect! Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was beautiful and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

It's a perfect location, essentially right next to the national park. it's quiet, secluded, and beautiful. The waves are calm and the water is crystal clear. The grounds are lovely, and the staff are congenial and effective. It was a close walk into town. Really loved this place, it was a great vacation.
