Very comfortable flat above the garage. Fridge and microwave, but no cooktop or kitchen sink. Very close to town with some good places to eat. Tuya's is excellent and don't miss Poppa Joe's for the local breakfast scene and history lesson. The cemetery is very unique and a short away. Also the beach is close. Resident deer tribe is always close on the property. Great place to stay.

The property was peaceful and beautiful. our unit was comfortable, clean, quiet, and unique. "Ye Olde Danish Inn" is befitting as a name for the property. Not only is it unique in and of itself, but it is in the small Victorian village of Ferndale, CA. The staff, (consisting of the husband and wife) built and maintain the property. They are the people we all would love to have as friends. More than well worth the stay.

We were in a suite located above the garage, which was totally separate from the main house and had a very private feeling. Driving up the steep driveway then walking up to the room meant there were lovely views down over the town as well as into the lush green grounds. The owners were gracious and got us quickly checked in and made sure the room was ready for us. You can easily walk to the main drag of Ferndale with its shops (but you will have to ascend the driveway again!). We'd definitely come back.

The room where we stayed is behind and separate from the main house. We were on the upper floor and one of the mornings, we saw a deer grazing in the back yard and two more grazing in the front as we drove out. Downtown Ferndale is nearby and easily walkable. The owners were very pleasant and accomodating even through we were supposed to be at the Inn before 8 PM the first night and it was 9 PM before we arrived. We stayed there over the Thanksgiving holiday and the rooms were wam with plenty of blankets available. We would definitely stay there again.

The Inn was great and the owners friendly and accommodating. We happened in Ferndale for the annual community-wide yard sale and had a great time talking with people.

We absolutely loved it here. The grounds are so lovely and private! Surrounded by tall trees and situated on top of a hill you feel so removed and yet town is just 2 minutes away. The unit itself is very spacious and has so much character! The pictures make it look a bit tired, but it's not! It's fresh and clean and comfortable and quaint. The hosts are gracious but nonintrusive and everything worked just fine! We are looking forward to a return trip.

We really loved how many deer with their fawns on the property.

Unbelievably cute apartment like accommodation over the owner’s 3 car garage. Had a separate sitting area with couch and TV and area for dining. Spotlessly clean and decorated very tastefully. Short walk to downtown area for dining. Ferndale is a cute, clean and quiet town . Loved it. The owners of Ye Olde Danish Inn are in the main house, but we only saw them when we arrived and departed. They were very pleasant and friendly. Large yard with wildlife ciewing(deer). This place was a real gem and we absolutely loved it! ❤️😀

We had a wonderful time relaxing in the evenings sitting out on our patio - the view of the countryside is beautiful. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating. The town is very walkable and there are near by nice walking trails in lush forest or short drive to the beach.

The hosts are friendly and gracious. The accommodations are like having your own apartment in a bucolic setting. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Overall, great place to stay.

This property resembles a B&B without the breakfast, (but there is coffee.) It's a really cute apartment over the garages with a nice living room, a table to eat at, and an amazing collection of books. The bed was comfortable, and I recommend that you stay here instead of a chain motel to help support small business and the local economy.

This is a fantastic place to stay. Quiet, private, comfortable, tucked away on 12 acres just a couple blocks from Historic Main Street. Such a treat to stay there.

Lovely property with comfortable accommodations. Very friendly owner! I had a bit of a hard time going up and down the stairs with my slight mobility issues, but the only thing I'd really recommend as an improvement is to make it easier to find! The signage was easy to miss from the street.

This amazing little hideaway is beautiful, and about 2 blocks from downtown. So quiet and lovely- it's my favorite Ferndale location, and the hosts are lovely and friendly.

We loved this place and would definitely stay again! The apartment had everything we needed, microwave, small refrigerate, toaster, and dishes. It was so peaceful, nestled in the tress with a balcony. We felt like we were in a cabin in the mountains, but the town of Ferndale was just a few blocks away. We came for the college graduation but I would love to come up and just relax another time.

We had such a wonderful stay here. The room was so spacious. The livingroom was seperate from the bedroom and was quite large. We were very comfortable!. The house is just off and above the main road which gave a feeling of being tucked away in the forest. The owners were so delightful and very welcoming and eager to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Ferndale is such an enchanting town and very easy to venture into from the property. You will love your stay at the Ole Danish Inn!

We came here to race in the redwoods and had a lovely restful night before the event. Uffe the host was gracious and accommodating. We'd love to stay here again!

Loved the fact that the unit was separate from the main house.Unit had a separate living dinning area and a plus was the balcony off the bedroom, it was an excellent retreat. Host was very friendly.
