I spent a very nice 4 days in the Dunedin, warm friendly atmosphere. Room was spotless and just what I wanted. I hope to stay again before Christmas

The owners made our stay like a home from home. Nothing was too much trouble from booking a taxi to helping understand the vagaries of the Canadian mobile phone that resisted my efforts. Really clean, comfortable and welcoming. We stayed two weeks and felt sad upon leaving. Many thanks are due.

What a lovely guesthouse!

A very nice and comfortable en-suite room and very clean. An excellent location. No cooked meals due to Covid but option to have a continental breakfast delivered to the room each morning - suitable table and chairs provided. There is also a small fridge in the room.

Lovely little inn, good location and a 10minute walk into town. Room was very spacious with TV, small dining table, wardrobe, and kettle! They had good precautions due to COVID but still did a daily service to clean the rooms which was nice.

The pillow and mattress were very uncomfortable.

Good location within 10 minutes walk into town. The room was dated but clean however, not comfortable. Mattress/bed very creaky. Could clearly hear creaky noises from the room above. Didn’t get breakfast despite paid for; on arrival we were informed that it was room only rate and there would be an extra charge if we wanted breakfast. Wish this would have been communicated to us beforehand. Asked politely for extra towels for one day but was rudely refused by the owner who clearly didn’t really care about her guests and their comfort. Overall a very disappointing place and wouldn’t recommend.

We liked the comfort, the cleanliness, the breakfasts and the welcome of our hosts, John and Linda who were lovely. The only minor criticism is that we could have done with more shelf space in the bathroom as being older we each have our own collection of potions, powders and pills!

Linda and Nicole provided the best accommodations and breakfast service. The Dunedin is located in a quiet part of town, but still a short walk to the shops and pubs. The room was clean and tidy. Definitely would book again.

Warm welcome, good facilities, excellent breakfast. The only downside was that our room was too warm for comfort, with no way to cool it. Even with window open on a cool day (15C), still too warm. Perhaps just this room. Still more good value than discomfort.

Quiet location (apart from seagulls, but you really can’t be spared anywhere in Cornwall). The room wal fairly large and comfy. The bed maybe a little too soft for my taste. The bathroom is small but functional. The shower has a nice thermostatic valve so plenty of hot water and pressure. Breakfast is cooked every morning fresh to order, with plenty of eggs options! Very nice stay. Also the location is pretty close to both town centre and the promenade, and the station. The owner is very welcoming and friendly and has made us at ease prociding advice on many fhings to do in Penzance and around. Definitely recommended.

the hotel Dunedin is best recommendation for Cornwall, a reason to return!!!

Staff was vrry helpful. Hotel was clean and close to the beach. One of the best parts of this trip.

Overall experience good, but decor stuck in the eighties, needs updating.

The staff all went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant as possible. The single room I was in was designed to use the space very efficiently. It was very quiet and always well cleaned. It was a delightful stay.

A more than adequate establishment. I have refrained from giving The Dunedin an excellent rating because I have never stayed in a place that exceeded all expectations in all areas. The room was clean, neat and had all one would expect and need. Breakfast was an experience in itself; first class menu, a wide range of cereals and fruit and if anyone left the room still hungry I would be amazed. My wife and I were given room no.1 which had enough hanging and drawer space along with a practical en suite. As our room was on the top floor it became a bit tiresome trudging up so many stairs, but then we are seasoned bus pass carriers.

This was a comfortable and stylish BnB with warm, engaging hosts and a delicious breakfast, filled with options. We were looking for a place to use as a base while we hiked the South West Coast Path and couldn't have chosen better. We were provided with maps, restaurant suggestions, and hiking advice. Each night we returned from a full day out looking forward to the comforts of our restful surroundings. I would gladly revisit, both Cornwall and The Dunedin.

Hotel provided excellent service, breakfast, very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located to several beach areas and sights to visit. We had a terrific stay at the Dunedin, highly recommendable.
