The Villa has nice grounds, but the hotel room was very small and dingy. The bathroom was dark, small, old with the smallest shower cabin ever. The hotel is on a very busy road, without sidewalks and about 30 min walk to the centre of the village.

We stayed in one of their family rooms with a terrace. What a beautiful view over Lake Garda! Incredible! That made up for the somewhat utilitarian room with not the most comfortable of beds (we still slept well, as we were tired from our day's adventures), and the small bathroom. They have a very nice swimming pool and another plus was that there was easily accessible and ample parking (which is not a given in Malcesine). Given the opportunity, we'd love to come back!

The hotel was in a brilliant location, right on the lake side. The rooms were nice and clean. The shower was very small but ok.

Really enjoyed our stay in Malcinese. Little bit of a walk into town so may be best using your car to get in if this isn't up your street (maybe half an hour or so along a stretch of road and then lake). The hotel was nice, staff were friendly and we enjoyed the pool. Area seemed fairly quiet compared to parts we drove through to get here, so enjoyed that. our room had a great balcony view, which appears on all of the local postcards

Cannot Rate this highly enough - if you are looking for hustle & bustle and being in the centre of things or maybe with young kids - this might not be the place for you. However if you are looking for calm, peaceful in a small village with views to die for (which is exactly what I wanted) then Hotel Villa Orrizzonte is perfection. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by the beautiful grounds , then the hotel itself is cool, inviting and beautifully maintained. When we opened the curtains onto our terrace WOW. The hotel itself only does breakfast but what a great breakfast, the lake is a 5 minute walk away with a water sports centre, everything you need is right there and buses will take you further to Malcesine. This is now one of my favourite places and I will definitely be back.

Very impressed with the service, the view, the pool area and location of the property. We felt it offered very good value for money and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful views lovely gardens nice pool area and good breakfast they even sorted out a very early morning snack to take to the airport on our departure day .would return to this hotel in future .

We booked a room with lake view but were not expecting the incredible view of the lake we actually got. On entering our room we walked straight out on to our own terrace and both said ‘WOW’. The room was spotless, well furnished and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very small and we tended to bang elbows and knees trying to wash. Fortunately there is a local tourist bus into Malcesine itself as it is way too far to walk, this is reasonably priced at only €1.20. The drawback to this hotel is the number of steps around the property and a very steep slope at the entrance from the road. However if you are fit and healthy and like walking it would not be a problem but certainly not suitable for someone who is disabled.

Beautiful place. Lovely view from our balcony. Grounds are well kept. Breakfast was a buffet with many options. I like the awnings to keep room cool during the day.

Stunning view from our balcony. Breakfast was plentiful. Pillows were a bit uncomfortable. Slightly sketchy walk from the hotel to the nearest bus stop. Taxi to malcesine is 10 -12 euros. Pool was lovely. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

My check in was fine. I am not just happy with the insects inside the room and even in my bed. Also, the aircondition is not functioning as desired. Its not as cool as i want it to be. What i love is its view of Garda Lake. It was amazing. I wont recommend it for my friends because of the insects. I think there are other hotels with a better and more comfy rooms. But if theyre on a budget, then this hotel is fine.

Our room was very small. Tiny bathroom & shower was too small to bend down in! We found the bed to be very uncomfortable (hard) We were only staying one night, thankfully. On the plus side, the location was great - out of town with magnificent views over the lake. Less than 10 minutes on tourist bus (€1.20). A 5 minutes walk to the lake & a fabulous restaurant (Dolciaque) Breakfast was great - in a dining room with spectacular views.

Lovely hotel in every way. Only issue is that it is not where google maps says it is. It is NOT right in the centre next to tourist info, but in fact 2-3km out of ton down the main road. Hourly tourist bus is ok, or a 45minute walk back along the lake. Hotel itself is lovely; great staff, room,, breakfast, and a lovely gift (calendar) on departure

The hotel was quiet, pretty efficient, reasonably roomy rooms and a good breakfast. Plenty of room to park, which can be difficult in these parts, and it has a lovely garden. All in all good value for money and it delivers.
