Broken furniture and uncomfortable beds

My air flight was canceled so i booked this hotel not knowing the airline would provide a hotel, so the hotel i booked would not refund my cost because of pain greed for my money, that's correct just pain greed for money taking advantage of my bad situation and not even giving it a second thought, to make it even worse the trip insurance i bought along with the room wouldnt help either. This made for an unexpected long and costly flight home, so im saying this hotel is strictly in it for the MONEY, 100% greedy for the MONEY.

It was ok. When we checked in the girl at the front desk said we wouldn't have to check out til Tuesday because we were checking in after midnight, confused I asked three times if she was sure because we booked Sunday to Monday, she reassured us 3 times that was the case. Then at 11 am we called the front desk and was again told the same thing, then at 2 pm we are getting a call from the front desk saying we were late to check out and they were very rude about it and didn't seem to care about the other people telling us different.

The parking lot got full fast so we ended up parking in a neighboring lot which worked out alright. The facility isn’t as nice as some Holiday Inn Express locations though. The bathroom needed some repairs, we heard every single thing our neighbors did (including every time they turned on the sink to wash their hands) and breakfast was… meh. Overall, I think the four stars was probably generous…

The bed was really comfortable. The lady that checked us in was not friendly and she kept talking to another employee instead of focusing on checking us in. The breakfast food was mostly all empty when we came down at 8 am so that suck because I had to pay for breakfast somewhere else.

Wouldn’t give me a receipt at the front desk although the people were nice they said my room number loudly in front of strangers when they checked me in, so it made me feel unsafe. the room was old and dingy and there was toothpaste and stains on everything. I was desperate and only there to sleep so I had to just deal with it. I STILL HAVEN’T gotten my receipt from the hotel or Expedia.

The venting in the bathrooms was bad. It only works if the door is open unless ours was broken. The bathroom was hot and muggy and didn't vent steam while showering or bad bathroom smells until you opened the door. I'm guessing you're trying to save energy but it doesn't make the customer stay pleasant.
For comfort, the beds aren't really queen size. They're closer to full size and were pretty hard. None of us got a good night's sleep.

Overall a great place to stay in a very convenient location. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and well kept. I would only leave one critique, and that would be that there was a concern at the beginning with being fully booked, even though I had booked in advance. Communication wasn't great, and my wife and I stood there for a minute or two wondering if we'd need to find somewhere else. I appreciate that they figured it out, but I was ready to go postal if I needed to.

Hotel is in a close place to the freeway, a hospital and Costco. The overall stay was okay but neighborhood feels a little sketchy. After I checked in two people were fighting in the parking lot and one sped through the parking almost hitting a child.
There is parking available but its hard to see where you can park because the painted lines are missing. Remember to Lock Your Car when you park it on the property.

The furniture in the room needs to be cleaned as all of it had some sort of liquid stains on the upholstery.

The hotel is right off of the freeway and close to great restaurants. It’s also down the street from the police station so I felt safe. Great location and super clean!
