We were looking for a Cottage to relax with peace and quiet. This place hit the spot with beautiful views across the hills to the sea. It has all your modern luxury with full fridge, microwave, kitchen and all your crockery and cutlery to be self sufficient The room is perfect, although the bed was a bit small for us as we are use to a king bed. We visited in summer and the aircon was great as it was a very hot couple of days. The cottage is well shaded and probably about 2-3 degrees cooler though. The bathroom has a great spa/ shower with views across the hills to the sea as well. We didn’t turn the TV on as we just wanted to get back to nature and just read books and relax The Cottage is about 5 minutes drive to Montville and about the same to Kondalilla National Park which I highly recommend for a picnic/ bush walk or a swim. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay and wanted to stay longer, but we had to return to civilisation and work :(

Beautiful place to stay. Friendly staff. Nightly visits from wildlife, like brushtail possums. Saw beautiful king parrots and scarlet honeyeaters through the day. Right next to Kondalilla Falls bush walking track which is well worth the walk.

was very relaxing and clean. The staff were very friendly lovely place to go to relax. Enjoy the chocolates and wine on arrival would differently be back

It was great atmosphere and the view from the cottage was amazing. However the cottage was not well maintained and bugs come inside at night time attracted by the light. Welcome drink and breakfast supply in the fridge was helpful. Overall, you can find a better place for the price.

Nice and secluded Cabin, watched a large yabbie from our verandah feeding in the creek bed and listening to the Frogs and wildlife come alive during the heavy rain fall was a delight from the spa bath

We stayed two nights and enjoyed the spa and hot tub in the Forbidden Fantasy Cabin. It is at the end of a dirt road, quite isolated so make sure you have all your supplies. The cabin is cosy, but just needs a few luxury touches. A rug instead of a big chunky coffee table in front of the fire perhaps? Drapes instead of vertical blinds? A pleasant interlude but make sure you stock up on wine and groceries as you dont want to attempt the dirt road more times than absolutely necessary.

Bad points - We turned up and the owner pointed to our cabin instead of walking us there. No info given about property layout, pool location or DVDs for room. Got the 'midweek special' which was meant to include a breakfast hamper, champagne on arrival and $20 Montville bar and grill voucher - didn't receive any of this. Bed caused bad lower back pain for both myself and my husband. No phone reception at all. Fridge didn't work properly and freezer didn't deal properly. Kept getting frost on seal. No oil, salt or pepper for the kitchen. Restaurant info in room said Montville bar and grill was open till 10pm 7 days/wk - got there at 8.20 and was informed that we had to order immediately as kitchen closes at 8.30. Lucky we got there when we did as nothing else was open at that time. Good points - Nice area. Our romantic getaway started with a warm, welcoming greeting from a lovely lady who advised that a bottle of sparkles & chocolate were included in our room price (bonus!). We entered a decent sized, homely, comfortable and clean room with a stunning view from the balcony, bed and spa. Very quiet location (other than the delightful sounds of wildlife) and just a short drive to town or a little further to Maleny. Fantastic stay and we will be back!
