Worth the money!

The hotel room was nice and clean. We needed a place near UMMC due to an unscheduled trip, and this place was walkable from the hospital. Breakfast was delicious.

Charged me $24.00 a day for parking when the gentleman at the front desk said it was free

The room was good overall, they should have filled up the shower gel, shampoo, hair conditioner, they were empty but I always brought my own personal stuff, and I forget to tell the front desk. I stayed for two nights, my next door came at 3am in the morning, I heard the noise and smelled the cooking in the middle of sleeping. Woke up at 3am for two nights stayed.

Easy Parking

The hotel was beautiful however the smell was horrible. It was an overpowering perfume smell. I had to ask several times if there was a hidden air freshner. I understand that some people would not mind however i had to have the door open for awhile. I wont t stay there again for that reason.

It's very close to Pitts university and Carnegie Mellon.:)

Great value on a beautiful comfortable room

Hotel location was close enough to campus, plenty of parking space and gated which was great and safe. Cleanliness was lacking all across my designated room, restroom was not cleaned neither was the kitchen. I have stayed here before with a much better experience, I hope it was only a mishap because the hotel has much potential.

Stayed in Pittsburgh for family trip 3 nights. The hotel itself is pretty average. Reception was friendly. The pool was a bit cold and not very clean. The hotel is right across from a hospital so we heard ambulances and a lot of road noise. The breakfast was not great (but it's few so I guess can't complain too much). Parking was expensive. Furnishings in the room itself were a bit run down. Overall it wasn't a bad place for the price we paid but would probably not stay again.

Nice hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and have lots of space. Employees were very helpful and very pleasant. Excellent location.

Nice place to stay in Shadyside. Our only complaint was the unfriendly attitude of front desk staff when we arrived. They may have been having a bad day but they seemed curt, really didn't seem to care. At check out we spoke with a very friendly person at the front desk.

Really nice hotel modern clean nice breakfast. I love the outside space with the fire pit. I would stay there again for sure. Definitely is safe.

Nice place... had to pay for parking

Another great stay in a fantastic King room at Hyatt Place in the Bloomfield/Shadyside neighborhood. The staff was amazingly friendly and made me feel welcome. The breakfast buffet, 24 hour front desk and convenience store made me feel like I was staying with people who cared about me. The hotel was also a 20 minute walk to the restaurants and shops in which I had interest. I definitely plan on visiting Pittsburgh again and will stay at the Hyatt Place. It is quickly becoming my favorite place to stay.

I like the pool and the breakfast was nice. My room wasn’t as clean as it should be. A lot of hair everywhere in the bathroom shower and in the sink. I think pay $24 a night for parking is a bit ridiculous. When your a guest paying about $300 for a room. It was a okay experience. But definitely won’t stay here again. Much better places for the same amount of money.

The front desk staff was friendly and informative. Breakfast changed daily, which was a pleasant surprise. Self-parking in the hotel lot is easy and convenient. The location is ideal - within easy driving distance of most Pittsburgh universities and attractions.

This is is where we stay every time we visit!

Travelled with my husband and our 4 children. Upon arrival our room was not cleaned properly. I.e. dirty dishes in dishwasher floor and couch not vacuumed. It took less than 10 minutes for management to send housekeeping. I pointed out the issues and they got right to it. Everyone was polite and professional our entire stay. The breakfast buffet was convenient since traveling with children. My family loves the pool and I personally loved the cleanliness of it. I would return.

Clean place check in was very easy

Great location. Great staff. Overall, great property but our room had some quirky things needing attention--such as the dishwasher had clean dishes but had not been unloaded, the bathroom door kept sliding open, and the closet was a disaster with the ironing board falling out when we opened the door. The little details matter, and the Hyatt did a great job on all BUT the little details.

Very spacious room with kitchen and sitting area. Large bathroom and shower. Comfortable bed. Decent breakfast. The only downside was the $24/day for parking, but that is not unusual for a large city.

Breakfast was just ok. Rooms clean but tables a little worn. Bathrooms excellent. Parking very convenient

Very nice property. Lights in the entranceway in our room were out and there was only one coffee mug in our room. We just got cups from thebmain lobby area so no big deal.

The woman at check in was very kind and explained the property and local area very well! A little bummed parking was $24, but oh well. The hotel felt modern and clean. When I reached my room, the door was actually open, so I was a little nervous at first. I checked the room and made sure no one else was inside.. I figured it must have been an error with housekeeping. I’m sure I could’ve gone to the front desk and asked for a new room, but I didn’t feel it was necessary. The room was extremely well-equipped with a kitchenette, the bed was comfy, the AC worked well. Roomy, lots of towels. When I showered, I realized there was no shampoo or conditioner in the wall pumps.. I could’ve called the desk, but was in the shower when I noticed, so I just dealt with it. I was a little disappointed that the hotel didn’t provide lotion or makeup wipes in the bathroom, but again, maybe housekeeping never made it to the room to restock. I started to wonder if the open door was evidence housekeeping never made it back or something. Breakfast began at 6:30. I walked downstairs at 6:25 and it looked like quite the feast! There were a few guests eating breakfast already, so I planned on getting some food, but a staff member from the kitchen came over and told me, “Breakfast doesn’t start until 6:30.” I was in a rush, so I left. All in all, the hotel was pleasant and worth the cost. I would absolutely stay again because I think these small items were one-offs.

Had to pay for parking

The hotel was a good place to stay. Central location so didn't have to travel far for things. The room was fairly clean, but there was a mark on one of the sheets and some random hairs on the towels. The bed was really comfy and I slept well. The shower was nice, but the shower head was a bit weird. Overall enjoyable experience. Would stay there again.

It’s conveniently located.

There was a global outage which caused problems checking in but the employees did their best and were finally able to get us checked in. The room was clean, spacious and very nice. It comes with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay.

Had dinner. Service not so great. Food was good.
