Very disappointed by this hotel. AC was not working during a heat wave. Rooms are in very poor condition. Area is loud due to clubs across the street literally non stop till 5:00 a.m. Windows have very little privacy. The way it is advertised does not represent the poor reality of this hotel. Just BAD!

We got in earlier than check in time and staff was friendly and let us store our luggage in the office. They gave us towels to take to either beach or pool. We opted to go to the beach. When we returned to check in around 8pm, and get our room it was a quick process. Upon entering our room there was water on the floor. My guess is maybe from the mop. Things seemed clean but the room just felt kind of dingy. The walls and curtains had stains/marks on them. Our bathroom light was out and our tv wasn’t working properly. The staff was very quick and friendly to fix the issues. The pools were nice and inviting. Great temperature. We didn’t get to enjoy the breakfast because we left very early but I saw them setting up for it and it looked nice. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet.

Would stay again

The jr suite did not have a microwave, coffe maker or any plug ins at all. There was minimal storage for the week. Breakfast was excellent and servers were amazing.

Awesome tucked-away spot yet it is a few steps from the long wide beach. It has the best free breakfast ever.

This property was nice if you are a family with children. Lots of children in the pool being noisy late into the evening. If you like a dark room this isn’t for you. Very light. Noisy at night but my noise maker took care of that. Great breakfast, friendly staff. Convenient to the beach and restaurants.

Amazing stay for 8 days 7 nights. The location is perfectly placed in front of Zicatela Beach lots of restaurants and shops. The hotel is clean and the service is amazing.

Very large well appointed room with huge balcony, kitchen, sitting room, kitchen. Highly recommend.

All good, friendly staff, rooms need refurbishing, The Internet is super slow, I was unable to work. Very centric, very good breakfast but you need to pay if you want more.

Hotel was nice but very noisy

Staff were wonderful, if I stay again I would ask for a room at the back. Street noise on ocean side as well as night club music until dawn several days a week. Beach is beautiful, but surf is a little big for swimming. You need to venture further. Wicked sunsets

Nice service, quick to answer. Sheets had stains on them but overall it was a nice stay. Air conditioning was also a plus, made the room cold quick.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the breakfast was delicious and the room ac was cold. Wifi was spotty so make sure to not need the internet too much. 10/10 recommended.

Great place and right next to Zicatela Beach. Only complaint I have is that the towels were not changed.

The Rockaway provided a lovely place for our family to call home for a few days as we explored Puerto Escondido. The staff were very friendly and accommodating on an early check-in and requested late check-out. The room and facilities were clean and the tone was relaxing. A great breakfast- go early though, it can get busy. Very pleasant visit.

Night clubs across the Street Won’t let you sleep

Picked this place because it had AC, location & rating. I was not disappointed. This place is really nice. The staff is friendly. The place is clean. The breakfast was also delicious. Pool was awesome. The hotel has nice shops attached like a 24 hour store. Very safe area too. Would definitely stay here again.

Helpful staff, nice breakfast, clean rooms, goid aircon, quiet even though close to thw busy strret at night, lovely pool area and bar / restaurant. Only real negative was that the wifi was patchy in the bedroom, but worked ok at the pool area.

I stayed here on two occasions during my time in PE. The staff were lovely and accommodating. As a female traveling solo, I felt very comfortable and safe staying here. The rooms were clean and well air conditioned. The hotel is well positioned in Zicatela, right across from the beach. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. There is a small store convenience store within the hotel where you can buy sunscreen, water, snacks etc. There is a coffee shop next door that opens at 6am if you need to grab a snack before an early flight. The only thing to make note of is that there is a beach club across the street, and the DJ plays until the morning. I requested a “quiet” room, but as a light sleeper I still slept with earplugs. Other than that it was a very comfortable stay!

Beautiful place to stay. Had a power outage for the entire day. No AC in that 90 degree weather not a good feeling.
