Cute hotel with a great staff! Perfect home base to experience Vietri! Thank you!

Location is beautiful and we had an amazing view over the sea. The restaurant food was delicious and we sat out on the balcony to eat which was stunning!
The hotel is away from the main town but there are steps right across you can take that is a quick way to get up to the main town(ALOT of steps so maybe not suitable for anyone who struggles).

This hotel had the most amazing view and accommodating staff. Very clean room with balcony over the Mediterranean. Close to restaurants, beach and everything you need. On site restaurant was good too.

I have a medical issue with my back, and when I got to the property, the bed was the least comfortable that I have ever seen. I ended up laying on the floor. That is when I discovered the ants running on the floor.
I asked both Expedia and the hotel to allow us to leave the hotel early and move to a different hotel so that I was able to sleep. Both refused. I ended up not sleeping for 3 days. What little sleep I did get was interrupted by springs in my side.
Hotel looked nice (except the ants), local area awesome, but no compassion for medical issues, and beds horrifically uncomfortable.

This is going to be difficult to rate but here goes. Arrived by train and walked down to the hotel. There was a couple of long flights of steps that take you between apartment blocks and ended up by the hotel. I think a mapping app suggested it’s about 60m down from the town. The station is higher but there’s a public lift to help.
The hotel is right on the cliff front and I had a sea view (note the port view to the left). As this was out of full season the bar and restaurant were shut (breakfast only). So had to go out to eat. Found a nice restaurant not too far away, but any idea of getting back to the station to explore (which was the plan) was daunting due to the climb or an expensive taxi ride.
This felt like I was trapped with no option but get out to be able to do anything. Couldn’t even stay in and relax with drink or meal.
If you’re travelling by car this is probably fine, but when using the train it wasn’t suitable so unfortunately decided to leave early and move on.

We stayed here in March, and arrived by train 🚆 . The station is very high above the hotel. Going down by foot is ok, going back, definitely not. There is a bus, which goes up the hill, you must buy a ticket from a tobacconist type shop, there were none near the hotel and the hotel did not appear to sell bus tickets. It is very difficult to access The Amalfi Coast from here. As a result stopped one night.

Two minute walk to the beach.

Nice hotel tucked away from the hustle of Amalfi for example but that means longer transportation to other parts of the coast.
Basically it’s a view with a room with basic amenities- covers were not on the bed, shower is a small cubicle, no coffee in the room but breakfast is included
Beautiful sunrise!

I didn’t like that the rooms didn’t have irons or ironing boards. I had to go to the reception and wait until they brought it to the common room. The staff wasn’t mean but also not overly nice. I still have to get accustomed to the European way.

Wi-Fi was bag in rooms. Everything else was good.

Right beside the sea, with stunning views, but steep road and bit of a climb up to the gorgeous town, with many good restaurants. Excellent meal, while people watching in narrow streets.

Beautiful property on the coast. Too bad the air conditioning didn’t cool the room, very uncomfortable and staff couldn’t make it work.

Hotel La Lucertola is a gem. It is older, has lots of charm, and the location right on the water cannot be beat. Once you arrive, you can walk anywhere in town you need to go and do not have to drive. Accessing the deck and swimming is also convenient and relaxing.
The tiles throughout the hotel showcase the talent and beauty of local artist and are more than 50 years old. You too will fall in love with La Lucertola, and Vietri.

Our room had a balcony looking out over the Mediterranean Sea--very beautiful view. There was a pretty sunset, and sunrise was even better.

Horrible service, except for employee Alexia, who was extremely polite. They wanted me to put the car over the crosswalk !!!! And they still fought and thought it was bad because I wouldn't leave it there. When I booked the hotel, they said there was parking, but there was no parking space. I left the car outside.

Small but clean room. Good seaview of Salerno Port. Reasonable breakfast. Friendly staff. I wouldnt call it 4 star but had a pleasant stay.

Superbly handy to the main beach but also the private beach is awesome.
Views over the sea and Amalfi coast from your own balcony even better.

There are some places worth your money, others are not. This place was sadly disappointing for the inflated price we paid as tourists.
On arrival the staff was insincere and unsure of their actions. The Check in process seemed to be something new and foreign to them and took much longer than expected. Finding our room was somewhat of a struggle as it took an elevator ride, a walk, two more flights of stairs (inaccessible by elevator) and another walk down a dark corridor to find it. The interior of the room is old and gives an uncleanly feeling, the saving grace is the great views from our balcony (the only part of the room worth the €€€). The shower was something that didn’t necessarily make you feel clean afterwards and the overall musk of the room made one question it’s use.
When going for a drink before our dinner we were served an aperol spritz made by as if it was the bartenders first time. The breakfast, although it was included, left much to be desired after having the options between stale cereals and powdered eggs. My recommendation would be to stick with the coffee.
Overall reasons for staying were that the parking was free and the location was great but everything else pass-able and didn’t do much to make us miss Viatrae sur Mare.

Outdated, not clean, torn blankets, restaurant served frozen gordon bleu out of box for 16 euro, staff is friendly, doing everything they can to keep visitors happy. Hotel has its own beach, but you still have to pay 10euro a day for beach access and 2,5 euro for towel

The price was very good for this hotel and we were able to conveniently take the bus to and from Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano from Vietri's center. We were also able to take the train to and from Pompeii. The view from the hotel was excellent. However, getting to Vietri's center was about a ten minute uphill walk with no other bus, taxi, or ride-share (e.g. Uber, Lyft, etc) options. Of the three hotel clerks, the young clerk was the most helpful as she spoke very good English and was very enthusiastic. The other two older gentlemen were much less helpful as they spoke limited English.

Position of the hotel is probably its best feature. Staff were helpful and our room was clean and large enough. Outside of the hotel is a little tired.
Considering the cost, the breakfast wasn't much to talk about. Nothing made to order and the scramble egg was best avoided!
Easy walk in to town - 12 minutes - turn right out of hotel, look for iron railings with steps to the left, turn left at top and walk straight on (don't follow road sharp right!) till you're in town. Lots of restaurants and shops - especially high class ceramics.
We would go there again but not without a discount.

The view of the property was great. There's not a lot included in the price you pay - mainly just the breakfast buffet. It would be nice if other things (such as access to the beach) would be included in the price.

Gorgeous views hanging over the sea - balcony is right in the cliff over the water. Staff went above and beyond to help answer our questions and coordinate shuttle cars etc.
Rooms are under restaurant and walls are thin, so we had some trouble with noise at night.

Travelling for business. Arrived at about 10.30pm. Quickly checked in and shown to room. Passport was taken and held in pigeon hole. Handed over car key so hotel staff could move my car to a sensible location. There is very limited parking at hotel, so it was parked in the street nearby. The room was clean, but did have a bad odour, possibly due to lack of use of air conditioning in winter/spring. The air conditioning was noisy and so I turned it off. Bed was comfy enough, but not luxurious. View over the sea was spectacular. The nearby port is not really an eyesore and there was no noise from it at all. Although I was only there for the night. Floor was a basic tiled floor. Shower was OK for me (6ft tall and not overweight), but would be too small for a larger framed person. Breakfast was simple continental with pastries, yoghurt and bread.

Loved facing the sea. Great terrace. The food was not great. Easy to drive the Amalfi coast from there. Short walk to the town where there were lots of restaurants. Bit of a drive to Sorrento where we booked tours but we were overall pretty happy with our stay.

Hotel concierge was excellent. She helped us with several transportation recommendations and reservations and was always cheerful and energetic. She was the best.
