I love that this hotel was initially an old andalucian house. The check in was perfect, our room had a traditional hammam. Clean witha nice smell everywhere. Breakfast was good

Excellent location.

The hotel is absolutely charming. It’s a very old, but extremely well, and lovingly restored. However, that said, they have worked with the footprint they were given, so our room as small, the bathroom small. I don’t know if there are larger suites upstairs, but the only thing our room did have, which was fun, was a mikvah (ritual bath for purification prior to entry into the Temple).

The staff was particularly hospitable! Great location.

Hotel Madinat is everything one could wish for — charming, beautiful, slightly eccentric. Splendid rooftop terrace with shade and bar service. Handmade chocolates left in the room. And our room had a moorish soaking tub! Super nice staff. This was my second stay and I hope to see it again.

We loved Hotel Madinat. Our room was elegant was light and spacious, beautiful with high ceilings, and a huge bathtub. It felt very much like we were aristocrats in the 1800s, living in the charming, historic center.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Cordoba, look no further. Book this place. It has everything you want and more than you need. It is stylish, clean, and inviting. Hotel Madinat is a very unique and beautiful hotel based on the original centuries old age of the building. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. However, the comfort level regarding the space within the room is awkward and tight. Although the room has all updated modern amenities, the bathroom rather than the bedroom is the focal point. The surprising open shower set within an oversized “tub” at the entry and in the middle of the hotel room is awkward. It significantly impacts the space of the entire room. In contrast, the bathroom sink is exceptionally small. As a senior, I suggest caution in this room choice despite the many positive aspects of this hotel.

No on-site parking. You'll likely have to park a km away, or more, and then walk to the hotel. The uniqueness of the bathroom really affords no privacy within the room. It's basically using the toilet behind a window.

Good location. Not the most private bathroom in room, a few glass partitions. First day of our two day stay ac/hvac controller didnt work, but next day it was fixed. Delicious breakfast.

Beautiful historic hotel within walking distance of most sights as well as shops and eateries. Lovely room with wonderful huge tiled bath, curtained bed, nice furniture and attractive floral arrangements. Lovely welcome - sat in the courtyard with chilled fruit juice & sweets, while man on duty talked about the sights and annotated a map for me. Staff friendly and helpful throughout. Roof terrace has views. Good breakfast. Options for placement of iPad, for working, a bit limited. Would stay again.

Wonderful in every way!

Staying at the Hotel Madinat is like staying with old friends (if your old friends had luxurious rooms, a warm and welcoming staff and a breakfast buffet that will have you skipping lunch). You enter the hotel through a beautifully tiled entryway that opens into a marble-floored courtyard with a beautiful fountain (sadly, no longer flowing) to be greeted by some of the friendliest people in the world. Paloma insisted we leave our bags and relax while she served us homemade lemonade and sweets. After a bit of decompression, we were shown to our room, a lovely king room on the third floor, which is one floor below the rooftop deck, a great place to enjoy the 360 degree view of Cordoba’s Old City. The Madinat is a restored manor house, a family-owned affair where every little detail – and I do mean EVERY LITTLE DETAIL – has been attended to with pride and love. You get the impression that the staff is proud to work at the Madinat and that pride demands that they attend to your every need. Our room was spacious with a number of modern touches that made it really comfortable, not just quaint. The bathroom facilities take a bit of getting used to but they are efficient and quiet. The room itself is also quiet and the complimentary chocolate truffles are nothing short of wonderful. The hotel is very well located and only a few minutes walk to the Mezquita, the Alcazar. Get lost in the warren of streets and then enjoy a wonderful dinner at Casa Pepe. You'll LOVE the Madinat

Historic home adapted to 21st century oozes charm and character. Location in heart of medieval town means we were glad not to drive there. Fabulous breakfast spread. Room needed more table/shelf space.

This was a little gem hidden in Cordoba. Our room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities. The staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good and tasty. You can walk to all the sites. This historic hotel surpassed our expectations. The bonus was the roof top terrace- beautiful at night.

Very friendly staff who were always helpful. Fabulous breakfast options that set you up for a day's walking around Cordoba as its very near all the sights. One of the best views of Cordoba from the roof terrace.

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Very professional and courteous staff. The hotel itself is at a very small property. The area is walkable and has easy access to a lot of tourist attractions.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Madinat in early May and were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. We received an excellent overview of the city and the hotel at check in - best we've ever had. The staff did a great job in getting us restaurant reservations, a taxi to the train station, etc. They have a real passion for their hotel and their city. Bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. The shower in our room was a bit small but a very interesting design. The incorporation of artistic elements into our room and the common areas was very well done. All in all, we give the Hotel Madinat are highest recommendation.

Most unique hotel, fantastic combination of the old and modern, great interior design, beautiful decor and abundant, rich personalized breakfast. Special mentioning: the personal and warm reception by Mr. Raul Munoz and courtesies by him and Christian. For us it was a very special find. Thank you all, plan to be back!

It is a lovely boutique hotel with impeccable service and attention to detail. We had a wonderful stay.

This small hotel is fabulous. Staff warm friendly and extremely helpful. Paloma greeted us on arrival and sat down and provided maps and recommendations for us. Made dinner reservations and casa Peppe was excellent. Don’t miss the rooftop terrace. Christian took excellent care of us. Sunset with spectacular view of the mosque. Breakfast was nice. This is a special place.

The hotel is gorgeous and in a great location. We loved our room, the common terraces, and the breakfast. Our only qualm was with the bathroom: the toilet was hidden from view of the rest of the bedroom, but without doors or walls separating it. We prefer a bit more toilet privacy! But it wasn’t a dealbreaker for us and overall we loved the property.

The staff was exceptional in efficiency, friendliness, and helpfulness. One of our party had suffered an injury and the staff did everything possible to help.

What an amazing hotel. Super cute. Boutique like. The staff is incredibly friendly and go above and beyond for you. Rooms are unique and cute and very comfortable. Great location and 5-10 min walk to everything. Lots of food around as well. Close to bus stop. Highly recommend. No complaints at all!
