No parking directly next to the hotel, which was probably on the website, but I wasn't aware of this. Have to pay for parking a short walk away, up a hill, but the porters will kindly drive you up with a very short wait (few mins).
Was put in the wrong room initially, which wasn't fun at midnight, but they sorted this out very quickly and put me in a much larger room, which was kind.
The rooms are generally nice, but carpets are quite dated and had some quite large holes in them. Otherwise very clean and bathroom very comfortable.
Service desk and people working there are lovely.
Swimming pool and sauna were one of the best I'd been to, really clean and nice warm temperature for the pool, not that busy when I went.

Nice relaxing stay. Bit of a walk to the room but it’s an old building. Pool and spa are great. Nice restaurant with several other options in main resort.

Reticent staff on the whole, but there were some staff who cared about their customers. The cleanliness was average, the signage and directions within the building were beyond poor. The parking situation was disgraceful with charges not mentioned before booking! The room condition was less than I had hoped and was not as good as, say, a Premier Inn. Overall, overpriced and poorly serviced.

Finding the room in the manor house was a challenge and a journey in a lift 3 escalators and a 10 minute walk. Car parking charge is outrageous and another 10 minute hike wike with luggage in the rain.
Not great if you are elderly.

Well known hotel really wanted to enjoy my self but was really disappointed took us over 30min to check in due to system playing up room was not as stated carpet ripped drawings on the wall toilet seat broken bath tub had some dirt did make a complain to the manager and they tried to ammend things and was very professional but the experience we had overall just damaged everything they tried to ammend

Such a shame that such a beautiful property can be let down by poor communication from personnel and signage.
Part of the character of this place is its myriad of timber lined hallways and beautiful carpets, but when it takes seasoned travellers 15 mins to find their room, something's wrong with the staff and signage communication, which led to a really really frustrating end to our holiday, trudging around lifts and staircases to find our Manor House room. Could've been a dream stay!
Here's a tip... "good hospitality removes gueswork!"

We have dined in some pretty posh places over the years and the best service we have ever had was at this venue. Particularly Lewys in Steak and Six dining and Charlie in sales.

I was in Cardiff for work and needed to stay over.
The room was a good rate for the Cardiff area.
Trying to Check in was hard as the drop off carpark has a 20 minute limit before it charges yo £15. It took me 10 minutes before I was checked in at the desk, my room was a distance away. so by the time I've got back to my car; 25 minutes! I did complain and this was resolved.
Next; the car parks are all metered. the underground CP is £20 for overnight, the only other option is to park outside a distance away for £10! I been at work all day; really don't want this at the end of it!
The room was very clean but the Toilet seat was broken, nearly put my back out when I sat on it!
The staff where ok but if felt like the place is to big for anyone to bother with you, "some one else will deal with that person, I m going on my brake!"
Shame as it is a nice hotel.

When I arrived the room was dusty, sheets had muck in them and a loud humming continued through the nights. Not all staff was welcoming and the bed was overly soft that my mattress sunk to the top of the divan. Curtains didn’t keep light out and made it feel like anyone could see inside from the outside.

Manor Hiuse doesn’t have parking so have to go to main hotel .. then park in underground .. lift up then different lift to underground tunnel to walk to manor then up to floor .. 30 mins to get to room.
Room was very spacious and was once lovely but very tired and needs a refurb. Taps were filthy but sinkage and tired did not ask for room swap.

I have stayed at the Celtic Manor many times. The hotel has fantastic facilities so I don’t mind that the customer service isn’t that great. However this stay was a category of disasters and found the staff to be truly terrible. Unfortunately this experience has meant that I will find alternatives for my next visit to this part of the world. Very disappointing, fantastic hotel but awful service.

We had a superb stay! The staff were amazing! Some shout outs to Megan, Safa and Katie J in the spa! All staff there were very helpful and polite. Lewys and the other male waiter in Steak on Six were excellent. Also Hayley on the Archery range was great.The gentleman with long dark hair behind the Merlin bar on Saturday evening was very good as was lady performing the music in the bar. We left left feeling really relaxed and refreshed. We'll be back! One slight the pillows and the mattress in our room 427, were not very comfortable.

Really lovely comfortable bed, nice bathroom, fast running and hot bath, but toilet roll fell on the floor every time due to faulty holder, very bad signposting of rooms, both from reception and particularly from main hotel, could still be there wandering the corridors if we hadn’t come across a staff member, didn’t try breakfast, staff were good. Facilities for kids in the main hotel were fantastic at half term, very family friendly, reasonably priced alternative to the large main hotel

Of them so unfriendly, no warm welcome, the breakfast selection is awful. No pastries, nothing but watered down apple juice, awful selection and very unkept. The breakfast host each day was simply mute. No greetings. The breakfast area was dirty. The bedroom was not what you expect for the price, extremely budget. I would seriously not recommend this hotel to anyone. The whole place needs new decor, a good deep clean in all areas, staff need basic customer service training, and the whole place smells rancid and please clean the tables/carpets/bar area.

Given that the hotel is very grand, some of the basics were missing. No water in the room, no WiFi, the outside car park is a 15 minute walk away, no bathrobes. A bit disappointing.

Lovely comfortable room although finding it was a challenge which was not explained at reception. Up a very grand staircase, through the glass doors on the left, (not right), down a long corridor through another door to the elevator up to 2nd & 3rd floors.
Finding the bar/ restaurant in the main hotel was another challenge, more corridors, stairs and elevators with no signage!!
