Was a perfect place to rest after a long day hiking!! Would stay here again. Also, the property manager was incredibly responsive and helpful!

We had a wonderful 3 nites stay. Great communications from the host prior to the checking in. The property settings were peaceful, tranquil and quiet. The room was very comfortable with all the amenities needed for our stay. It is definitely our home away from home. We are so glad that we found this place for our visit to the national parks. We highly recommend this property and will definitely return if we come this way agin. By the way, we left behind a small backpack and the host is kind enough to send it back to us. This is what I called customer service.

We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at Rose Retreat. The room was perfect! We slept well on the very comfortable bed and used the ceiling fan and/or AC as needed. The furniture was high quality as were the linens. The bath was decorated beautifully and the shower was perfect. Our hosts really cared about our comfort. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and listening to the birds. Finally, the location was excellent- about 2 minutes from the park entrance. We highly recommend this cabin and would love to return soon.

We loved our stay. Hosts were great including communication, information, responses. The property was amazing - we loved the privacy, the quiet, the birds, the river, the amazing views. We wanted to be outside as much as possible and looked forward returning after our day out to enjoy it all. The suite was great - it had everything and more. We found it very spacious with a perfect set up/layout. Great location - literally a few minutes drive to the Sequoia NP entrance. Incredibly convenient. We would highly recommend staying there - you will not be disappointed. We would not hesitate staying there again. Thank you, Lori and John

Ideal place to stay when visiting Sequoia. The room was clean and well stocked, and the host was very nice. Definitely will book again if I visit Sequoia again.

The place is immaculate. It is tastefully decorated with different colored wood tables and a headboard blending together to create a very woodsy but modern look. The bed is very comfortable and the linens are soft. The little kitchen area is tasteful and includes a basket of great coffee and tea pods and other extras like granola bars. The shower area is large, decorated with small tile and offers tremendous water pressure. I grilled ribeye on Thanksgiving; it heated up quickly and it had all the necessary utensils. The hosts are very gracious as they apologized for the Wifi which went out in the entire 3 Rivers area. They offered an early check in, but sadly we couldn't take advantage. The only slight negative but one that seems to be consistent with 3 Rivers, is that the river running through town is private. I had never heard of such a thing. So though the river is truly a 1 minute walk from the house, you can't get next to it. You must either head into Sequioa National Park, head out of town or take advantage of someone Lori and John know who offers private river access at a price. Note: Many of the places on the river are charging a premium for that access and the places are not as nice as this place. So you may pay 300 instead of 200 for an average place next to the river. I look forward to many more visits to Lori and John's place.

Nicely appointed, with rustic decor and spacious, comfortable accommodations. Great home-base to both explore Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, as well as, enjoy what the mountain town of Three Rivers has to offer. We'll definitely look to book a suite at the Rose Retreat when we return.

We loved this property! We could not have asked for a closer location to Sequoia Park. The owners Lori and John were great from the moment we booked the Rose Retreat! They made us feel like part of the family :) We very much enjoyed the suite and loved sitting outside on the patio in the evening and watching the birds at the feeders. Very clean, very close to sequoia national park. Just what we were after!

Loved this place. Only 1 mile to the entrance of the park and several local dining spots within 5 miles. Exactly as described, clean and was perfect for a two day stay to see the trees. Would highly recommend. Host was great and had snacks available that we didn’t even think about bringing.

Lori and John are exceptional hosts and the Red Mountain Suite blew away our expectations! They had great communication and provided information about the area, are very thoughtful and have attention to the little details to make your stay welcoming. Not to mention the suite is extremely clean and new. Wish every host and property were this nice.

Beautiful place to spend a weekend, very close to Gateway restaurant and other food choices, as well as the Sequoia park entrance. Home was clean, well taken care of, had a nice bbq and was quiet and safe. Communicating with the owners was a breeze. Absolutely would come back again, it’s a perfect place for couples.

We loved our stay! The suite was clean and beautiful, and was a perfect place to stay outside the park. Gorgeous drive in and out of the park, and Lori was incredibly responsive and helpful, even when we were delayed and had to arrive very late at night. Will absolutely stay here again!

This new home away was just perfect. It’s obvious the owners care that you have a wonderful time while you are there. From the bird feeders outside the windows, the snacks and coffee and the sweet thank you note, they want you to be happy and comfortable. So thankful we choose this place!

This property was gorgeous and serene. Beautiful view and all the amenities you need when traveling. The Gateway restaurant (2 minutes from the suite) was a beautiful dinner spot for our anniversary. Lori and John were wonderful hosts and I definitely recommend this stay.

Ok so you know how we always feel skeptical when the picture is too perfect? But this place picture doesn’t do it justice!! You get exactly what you see on the picture! We were wowed from the moment we arrived on the drive way. The stove outside was equipped with all of the necessities. The inside is like what you find in a Five star hotel . Kitchen bar necessities & snack basket made us feel like we were at home. Everything was exceptional. All I can say is that the owner of this place are very thoughtful! We go to sequoia twice a year & use to stay at holiday Inn. We finally found our spot this is it for us from now on!! Thank you for the card & chocolates and the care package, very personal ! Enjoy !
