House was gorgeous with high end appliances. Everything in great working order. Plenty of space for extended family of 8. Adequate parking. We fished from nearby pier. Played in the waves every day. Dog loved running through the surf. Older boys checked out the surfing scene a few days. Parasailing. Plenty to do, without the noise and crowds further south.
If you are looking for a lovely place on a pristine beach, this is the vacation rental for you!

We had an amazing week stay. The property was very spacious allowing 2 families (4 adults, 6 young adults, 1 dog) to comfortably vacation. There were plenty of beds/rooms for everyone to have their own space. Every night we enjoyed beautiful sunsets on the top deck and then a cozy fire on the patio below. The views of the ocean are beautiful. The kitchen was large enough for several of us to prepare/cook food with plenty of dishes/pots/pans. There are 3 parking spots on the property and plenty of street parking close to the house. It is walking distance to the Channel Islands Marina, which is a great spot to check out on Sunday for their local farmers market.
The house also provided plenty of beach chairs and towels. Lisa was a fantastic host - she was very responsive and helped to make our vacation fantastic. If we get a chance, we will be back!

The house felt very new and modern. It had more than enough room for the 9 of us. It’s right on Hollywood Beach and walking distance to the Channel Harbor and it’s restaurants.

Wow!!!! Our families stay (7 adults, 1 child and dog) at the GREAT WIDE OPEN was absolutely fantastic. The host was amazing and when we had to extend our stay (construction delays) the host was able to accommodate our request. There is plenty of room at the property and the kitchen can accommodate many cooks in the kitchen 😋
Rooms are very spacious and the 3rd floor primary room was luxurious!
You will want to take the views with you when you leave for sure!!
I will visit here again and recommend this beach rental highly.
