Nice area near beach and train and buses next door Superb breakfast,dinner also good,staff pleasant,cant think of anything negative at all.

The staff were fantastic. A wee tip if you want dinner there, book it when you book your accommodation. The station hotel dinner is really popular with locals too.

Property was very good but the shower in my room 2 could have been a lot better but the stag the food everything was excellent the only thing that let it down was the shower I would give it 8 out of 10 thanks for a lovely stay

We liked this place, a busy, friendly customer focused venue. A bright and cheerful welcome, professional but amicable approach from all staff. An old building but maintained well and homely. The staff were great especially the blonde haired lady, who was originally from Wales. The owners need to hang on to her as she is a great asset. Rooms are good, beds comfortable, food tasty and plentiful, both evening and breakfast. They even found me some marmite. Well done The Station

It needs 2 hand rails on the stairs to up stairs rooms.

This hotel is a gem. Friendly staff and good beer and food. I like this type of establishment as you are not a credit card walking through the door. Very close to the railway as the name indicates but it did not disturb me.

Nice Hotel close to rail links and for village centre shopping. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was nice but toilet/shower room really small. Bedroom door squeaked until a little WD40 applied to hinges. Cooked breakfast was very good but only a small choice of cereals, fruit etc. Strange that the residents bar closed around 9:30pm. If you wanted a drink after that you had to use the public bar attached to the property.

The staff were helpful and extremely friendly . They made us feel.very welvome nd nothing was too much. The food was excellent.

Absolutely lovely stay at the station this weekend, will def be staying again when we are back in Carnoustie!

I stayed at The Station Hotel due to its proximity to Carnoustie Golf Club. It was a comfortable and reasonably-priced choice, with a bar and restaurant on site. A short stroll revealed some other dining options, including a very friendly Thai restaurant I selected. Parking in a dedicated lot was also a plus. No complaints at all.

Convenient for the train, beach and national cycle network. Highly recommended.

Stopped here for a single night on a business trip. The reception was good and check in was quick and easy. The room was reasonably sized but was very dated. The bathroom needs some work, haven’t had to use a shower curtain in a shower for a long while. The place was clean and tidy but room was very warm and no fan supplied. When I attempted to open the windows to get some air into the room, there was additional glazing on the outside of the building which prevented any air flow. Personally I would not stay in the hotel again only because I prefer a cool room.

Fantastic service and food at the Station Hotel Carnoustie. Typical friendly Scottish hospitality with a bit of extra service as nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is a full Scottish breakfast and is very filling. A must try is the raspberries and strawberries, so sweet and juicy.

Lovely hotel. The food in the restaurant was excellent. Only downside is it is right beside the train tracks and we were in room 3 facing the train tracks and is also above the pub. Train goes through until midnight.

Really a unique hotel

The 2 night stay was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Close to the shops, beach and amenities and also close to both Dundee and Arbroath. The room facilities were ok. The beds were very comfy and all the necessities were there. The shower room, whilst spacious, needs a bit of an update. The shower had no pressure which made it an interesting challenge. The food was good. Breakfast was plentiful with both cooked and cereals available and fresh. Will def stay again.

When we arrived we were greeted by a very welcoming, efficient and friendly member of staff. Our room (room 10) was spacious with a very roomy en suite and turned out to be very comfortable and immaculately clean and tidy. We later spoke to the lady who had been responsible for this and found her to again be very friendly and clearly good at her job. We had breakfast and dinner twice both of which were very good, both on quality of food and service. We must mention the staff in the dining room and those who took our orders for dinner. Very attentive and thorough. Overall we had nothing but positive experiences while staying at the Station Hotel and will be going back when we visit the area again.
