Great stay, rooms nice and clean

Just a one night stopover

We weren't sure where to stay in Campbeltown but glad that we opted for the Ardshiel. Our Superior Double Room room (room 6) was huge, a comfy king size bed, sofa for watching TV, desk that we could do work at. The only downside was the bathroom was somewhat dated in decor, but it was clean and served its purpose. Staff here are lovely, warm and friendly, and the on site restaurant is the best we found in the town having tried a couple of other places to sample what was on offer. Sheltered beer garden out the back.

Shower was not up to the standard of the rest of the room. Staff were fantastic, great natural service.

The staff was very friendly, the bed was the MOST COMFORTABLE bed I stayed in during our entire trip to Scotland, the hotel dog was the sweetest, and the whisky selection doesn’t even begin to compare to anywhere else!

A lovely hotel in Campbeltown set one road back from the promenade but with views of the harbour. This is a family owned hotel and the owners are very much in evidence. It is really well decorated inside and we had a most comfortable stay. Excellent sleeping accommodation.The food was excellent - both breakfast and dinner and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Friendly, clean. We were upgraded from annex to an attic room with great views across the harbour. Had dinner in the hotel which was excellent. The seafood platter is fantastic. Had a couple of malt’s from the huge election available to round off the evening. Breakfast was very nice.

The staff were wonderful. The restaurant meals very good. The hotel itself is beautiful. But the newly added annex rooms in the building down the street where we stayed are small, cramped, and noisy.

Campbeltown was a very pretty location handy to most things. Unfortunately even though our daughter and I booked at same time we ended up in different parts of hotel, but mostly enjoyed the stay

Nice welcome, food was lovely and rooms were clean. Staff friendly. Only issue was the blind cord in our room did not work properly, so had problems getting blind up and down could do with being fixed. We had a lovely stay in Campbeltown at the Ginfest.

Room was lovely and very spacious but bathroom-shower almost unusable and flush very noisy. We could hear other guests in various rooms and in the hallway. Doors need upgraded. Food okay and employees generally helpful. Great whisky choices.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst working in the local area. Check in was very smooth and the staff were very friendly. My room was a great size with a fantastic king size bed. The room had recently been renovated and was very welcoming. Breakfast was superb. Great service and really quick to serve, just what you need when you are in a hurry! I’d highly recommend staying here if visiting or working in the local area.

At first I thought I had stepped into a whiskey museum. Adorned in plaid and scotch bottles a plenty, this was a welcoming and relaxed spot. Staff was extremely helpful, food was great, couldn’t have asked for a better stop in the quaint Campbeltown
