What wonderful hosts, John and Arthur — welcoming, accommodating, and thoughtful, and the inn is stimulating and well appointed. Super short walk to town. We stayed in the Vanilla Room, which we highly recommend — kind of like staying in a castle tower. Great choice for an inn in a town that is the most un-Florida-like place we’ve found down here. Hills, rolling boulevards, heritage live oaks, brick-paved open spaces, and all roads can take you to the lake. !!!!

From the very beginning to the very end, my stay at the Adora Inn was absolutely perfect. I arrived late because I got a little lost and Arthur was very gracious in making me feel welcomed. I felt like I had arrived at my favorite family member's home for a weekend stay. Calming music was playing in the background as I checked in. If you like mature homes, you'll like this one. It had the things I expected, like a creak in the stairs and things I didn't expect like a comfortably sized bedroom, nicely furnished with everything you need for a short stay and decorated with beautiful artwork. Waking up to the aroma of breakfast being prepared was special. Like that coffee commercial beckoning you to come downstairs to enjoy your first cup of the day. I enjoyed every bite and was very pleased to get different meals each day. I spent my days exploring the area and came back at the end of my day to "a home away from home". Thank you Arthur and John for providing exceptional service and your welcoming warmth.

I guess after reading all the amazing reviews my expectations were way too high. The property is nice everything as expected for an older B&B. My feeling is that it’s no longer being loved as it used to, possibly years ago, I truly believe that the owners are not feeling what they’re doing anymore although they were very gracious, I just personally had that feeling. Our room, the Olive Room is spacious with a small bathroom and a very noisy mattress. I feel there’s a lot of details that are being missed. Breakfast was amazing but there’s nothing else besides coffee and a small table with tea for the rest of the day. There’s no ice bucket in the room. I think pandemic has changed a lot of B&Bs everywhere. I’ve been to many, many to see the difference now. I wish them all the success in the world.

Had a fabulous time at the Adora Inn! Most welcoming hosts—charming, artful accommodations and a delicious homemade breakfast. Close to the center and within walking distance of the lakeshore. Lovely!

Adora Inn is an ideal spot for people who like the vibe of an B&B, but don't love chintz or lace. The Inn's décor is more modern and eclectic--in a good way. This reflects this innkeepers' background in art, design, and historic preservation. We loved the location and the ability to walk to parks, restaurants, shoppes, and museums/cultural centers. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast--ample portions with upscale touches on the classics. We hope that the innkeepers will consider using larger sized toiletries and move away from single use plastics.

My daughter and I spent a birthday weekend in Mount Dora, my daughter actually sourced the Adora Inn and researched the reviews. We were 100% pleased with the stay! The food was fabulous the accommodations were comfortable and convenient to all the local amenities. The reviews were spot on Arthur and his staff including Sam and Tassie went the extra mile to make our stay delightful and memorable. Will definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the Adora Inn was great. It was a very clean and well-kept place. We felt right at home from the time we arrived. The breakfast was amazing both days we were there and the hosts couldn't have been more accomodating. We would definitely stay again.

Adora Inn offers a relaxing atmosphere with attentive hosts, clean comfortable guest rooms and delicious breakfast served daily on the climate controlled front porch. Our room in the Treehouse made us feel like we were all alone in the house. The AC worked extremely well and the decor is simple mid century modern. The hosts are wonderful, creative and friendly people.

Owner's are amazing hosts and breakfast were great. Only wish we had a TV in our room, but it was still great.

Wowowow!!! I loved my stay with John and Arthur. I stayed in the periwinkle. The room was simple and beautiful. I love baths and there’s was the best bath I’ve had in my 5 weeks of business travel. I mean it was DELICIOUS. Speaking of delicious the breakfast they served was easily my favorite meal of the week. They mix it up daily, but my favorite was the German pancake and roasted apples. Love love love. Oh and the BEDS! Best beds of my 5+ weeks traveling. Beds were comfy, the bedding was SO soft. The pillows were great. I just can’t recommend Adora Inn enough :)

John and Arthur are excellent hosts! All the meals we enjoyed were nothing short of world class. Everything is always prepared fresh and cooked to perfection.They are also wonderful individuals that clear love what they do...and it shows in the quality of the accommodations.My wife (Becky) and I came to celebrate our anniversary and we love Adora Inn. Can’t wait to return!

It was our first time in Mt Dora. I had been doing my research on places to stay and found Adora Inn and liked the reviews. We fell in love with it! John and Arthur are the best host! Breakfast are delicious. We had dinner as well, which was fantastic! Everything is clean, bed and bedsheets are so comfortable You won’t want to get out of bed. The house is charming, a perfect couples destination! We hope to be back soon!
