Very clean, safe, well furnished with very comfortable beds and modern en-suite, helpful patron, train and bus stations are pleasant walk (about 1 mile). Well situated for tennis courts, arcade, lido and outdoor theatre/music in the park.Tea/coffee making facilities are in the room but breakfast is not available (reflected in the price); however continental style breakfast items can be purchased at nearby supermarkets (need to take some plastic knives).
Our room was in the attic with four flights of stairs; therefore if you have mobility concerns need to check the situation of your room. We found on-street parking nearby to be a challenge and it would have been impossible late in the day. This was a bank holiday weekend so perhaps was an exception.

The Chiverton was spot on, clean and comfortable with everything on hand. The house is very close to Penzance promenade so excellent for walks by the sea and to get into town.

Excellent, comfortable accommodation, superbly managed by welcoming, considerate hosts. Moved us to a lower floor than planned when learning of a mobility issue. Would highly recommend this property.

Alan is a great host - very helpful. Property is clean and well kept. Upgraded linens (and a new bath mat) would be an improvement. Laundromat nearby. Walkable to dining, shopping, sights, bus and train.

Expedia had advertised this as a 4-star bed and breakfast so I was very disappointed to find out that breakfast is no longer served at this establishment. The rooms were small, but spotlessly clean. Friendly hosts and a lovely position in Penzance.

Disappointing. After a long, tiring trip, we arrived at Chiverton to find no one there and door locked. A note on the door had a phone number to ring but not the international code. A kind neighbour lent us her phone. Had to park 5 blocks away. Room and shower stall were very small and - would NOT recommend for couples.

The room was very small and very warm. But it was very clean, was nicely located and pleasant to be in. It would have been nice to have a lounge to sit in.

Alan was temporarily running solo with his son due to family commitments, but the stay was seamless. Decent room, if on the small side. Good breakfast and a free map with a lot of information on was given on check in.

Fantastic place. The room was spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable. It was a quiet neighborhood. The parking is on-street only, but easily found at the end of the road. The breakfast was delicious and quite varied. It was definitely good value for money. The owners were friendly and helpful, offering insightful advice and good places to eat. I would stay here again.

Really lovely stay - our hosts were fantastic: clean room, excellent breakfasts, lots of local knowledge and tips we actually used.
We arrived early off the night train, which was no problem at all: they have space to leave luggage and then they got our room ready early.
Really good location, near bus stops for exploring; a few minutes from the town centre and train station, but those few minutes are walking along the seafront. And you are nearer Newlyn.
Room very well equipped - tv, coffee, good shower, lots of plugs for charging. Secure out of hours (guests get extra keys).
All very COVID secure - we felt very safe here.

Lovely, centrally located house with street parking. Host is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and furniture/linen/towels/toiletries are of good quality. A good quality breakfast set us up for the day. Note: COVID compliant measures are in place. Would definitely return here.

We stayed for a 3 night break. Alan & Sally were great hosts. Ideal place for us to walk to most local attractions like St Michaels mount, Mousehole, and all local pubs,restaurants,and local shopping amenities. Room was spotless,Breakfast was perfect.Also cereals, fruit, yoghurts and juices. Alan gives great advice where to visit. And very knowledgable about Cornwall in general. Had time for everyone, and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend staying at this great B&B.

Couldn't get in at first, but that was as much because I had never used the key number lock before, not because the door wouldn't open!
Excellent place in a quiet part of town, 15 minutes or so walk to the rail station, good facilities and equally good breakfast. Would visit again and recommend.

A lovely room in a great house, situated in a quiet street about 200 yards from the sea and a promenade, near shops, a lovely walk to the town through sub tropical gardens.
Lovely breakfasts friendly owners and Covid secure.
The only tiny gripe is that the cafetière coffee tasted instant rather than ground.
I would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel with very accommodating owners. Clean and tidy throughout with a great breakfast menu. Close to the town (shops and harbour) of Penzance; Newly and even a short walk to Mousehole. Great location. Fantastic hotel and would defiantly stay again. 10/10.

Alan, the host, was great. He explained everything we needed to know about our stay and when we requested consumable items for the room they were delivered promptly. The cooked breakfast was fresh and quick. Recommendations for other restaurants were excellent.

A warm welcome, lovely hosts. The room was comfy and very clean ,breakfast was very tasty. Chiverton house is close to all amenities in Penzance.

Owner very hospitable and helpful provideud detailed map of area and how to get around by foot.
TV didn't work in room even after effort of owner to fix it. Not a big deal as we didn't go there to watch TV.

Great host supplying excellent service, including excellent breakfast.. Nice and clean room. Ventilation in the room/bath could have been better.We will definitely come back if Cornwall is visited again.
