very nice design, close to the center and on the road to the Perito Moreno Glacier, very friendly and helpful staff ready to support you with transfers. besides that my travel has been rescheduled and it was no problem for them. excellent staff!! 3 opciones of breakfast paid separately but very tasty and big portions. highly recommended!!

Could pay in cash. Front desk always had someone, and they were always helpful and sweet. The cleaning lady was helpful too because we asked her questions when she just happened to be across the hall. (We were too lazy to walk downstairs to ask our questions to the front desk.) Bathrooms are new.

Location is far from city. The carpet smelled old, and the room also smelled strongly of cleaning fragrance. The bathroom drain sometimes had smells coming up, but that's pretty normal.

Very nice staff. Nice sized room and comfortable beds. Hot shower. Great location to see the lake and not far of a walk to get to the main part of town.

The location was good. It was very inexpensive.

Rooms were not as depicted. Rooms and bathrooms need updating. Things were broken and internet service was spotty to non-existent.

It is a super comfortable place, but my advice is, if you don’t have a car it can be a bit far from the center, but nevertheless it is manageable. The staff is always ready to help you.

The price was too high for what was offered. Breakfast was not included and what was available was way below our expectations. If you going to charge you need to offer the service. The towels were old and worn. Would not stay again for sure.

Very comfortable bed. Front desk was patient and helpful. Wifi was good enough for TikTok, emails, etc. Water and wine available for purchase. Fairly priced. Lovely fresh air from the window. Greenery and nice view of the lake and mountains from across the road.

There was someone else's hair in my bedding, but the bedding did look washed and clean. There's a strong smell of soap in the room, but opening the window solved that. The bathroom was pristine and modern.

The hotel is well situated, a little out of the town but still not far away. the staff was helpful and polite. This is all that was good in the hotel

All is broken. You try to open the window, the wardrobe, the door - the handle remains in your hand. The toilet didn’t work (thanks to the staff it was repaired the next day). impossible to fix the water in the shower, we have all been burned. The crane is so short that impossible to wash the hands. The isolation is zero, you hear all outside and in the next rooms. I tried breakfast once - the ham wasn’t fresh. Check in was toooo long (maybe 20-25 minutes). The staff was nice and it is the only good thing in the hotel

Unfortunately, the property is quite old and needs updating. We arrived on what was an unusually hot day and since Calafate rarely has such warm weather, there is no air conditioning nor fans. The one window is hinged at the top and opens about 8 inches at the bottom, providing no ventilation. There was no other window to create cross ventilation and the hotel did not have any portable fans. We were miserable and up all night. It was approximately 80*F in our room. Despite a five night booking, we moved hotels the next day. Lar Aike would not refund any of the nights. I expected a cancellation fee but they had no solutions for the problem and would not refund any of the money despite the fact that we weren’t even in the room we booked to start with. They had no food service as the restaurant was closed. I understand that the pandemic has been tough on everyone but the ownership really should not expect guests to pay the full rate with no refund under these conditions. I cannot recommend this property.

I loved the concept, the places is beautiful, the view to the lake. The price through booking is really accessible. I stayed for 2 nights then I drove to el Chantel and decided to got back to El Calafate and we decided to stay 1 more night here
