A very unique and quaint building - spiral staircase up two flights to our room, that was something new for us! Proprietor was very helpful and responsive.. Breakfast was excellent.

Dinner recommendations provided for several small, local restaurants were 2 of the best meals we had in our 2 week France trip. Lovely hotel in a perfect location in the centre of the Old Town. Walking distance to all the attractions. Very friendly hosts. My room was perfect with a view down the narrow pedestrian street. Avignon was a great place to visit.

Emmanuelle, the proprietor, was so very helpful with suggestions of things to do. She gave us suggestions for things that were special to Avignon so we felt like we saw the best!

The couple that Own the Hotel were both very helpful and easy to talk with. The restaurant that was recommended was equally wonderful. An excellent choice of a hotel, and the bed was perfect. My highest recommendation!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Garlande. Stephane and Emmanuelle were amazing hosts and provided superb advice on dinner recommendations, places to see in Avignon & Villeneuve de Avignon, and best ways to get around the city. The breakfast is largely homemade, and was a delicious way to start each day. We highly reccomend staying here for any length of time while in Avignon!

Stephan was a perfect host. This hotel is a little gem in a wonderful historic location. Small and quirky. But well worth the visit. Highly recommended.

The owners Stephan and Emmanuele were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was excellent value for 3 star. The walk in shower was easy to operate without having to step over anything to get in and the bathroom and bedroom nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable and the room light, airey. and very clean. There was everything we needed for a perfect and restful stay in beautiful Avignon. Thank you so much Stephan and Emmanuele. What a find! This small boutique hotel is in the heart of old town Avignon and is perfect for exploring the city, dining, and just walking the streets. The owners, Emmanuelle and Stephane, are delightful and VERY informative. The room was exceedingly clean and had a great shower. The beds are very comfortable and the shutters blocked the light and street noise. Absolutely the only downside, in our opinion, is the cost of breakfast. Having said that, it was all home made and delicious, with many choices to choose from. This was an excellent choice for us and we’d stay again, for certain. I should note that we were on a Viking cruise after our stay and the cruise dock is an easy 12 minute walk, downhill with luggage.

Great place to stay. The host was very friendly. The breakfast was the best so far on our trip. I hope to return again to Avignon. If so, I will stay at the same hotel. Easy access to all of Avignon.

Host was very welcoming and offered useful info upon my arrival. Was that way until I left. Very close to the Papal palace and other historic sites. Staying in an old building like this one enhances the ‘ancient’ Avignon experience.

Although we were only at Garlande for one night, it was a delight to stay in such an attractive historical hotel. Emmanuelle was a very welcoming host and saw to all our needs promptly. She provided a local map and recommended some nearby restaurants. She also provided a wonderful breakfast taking care to inquire about any food preferences. We would definitely stay there again.

It was enough to enjoy the atmosphere of the ancient capital, and the staff were friendly and very nice. To be honest, you might be a little nervous about the way to the hotel, so it might be a good idea to find out what kind of place it is on Google Maps etc. in advance. It may not be obvious, especially at night. However, this is not a problem with the hotel; it's a city that makes use of the roads of the ancient capital, so I thought it would be nice if a map of where you are is posted in the city itself in a way that doesn't spoil the scenery.

Somewhat difficult to find but that is probably on me. Very good location...walkable to all churches museums etc. Excellent restaurants nearby...safe ....instructions regarding parking are easy and supplied by the hotel prior to arrivL
