A concrete monstrosity in Grimsby, but once inside my room, I was delighted to find a balcony overlooking the golf course! What a delight when I got back from an evening event to sit on the balcony for a short while, listening to the owls hoot in nearby trees! The rest of the hotel is pretty tired and lacking some TLC, but it served my purpose for a one night stay.

Very convenient for the wedding were attending next door in Grimsby golf club.

Good location and easy parking. Hotel is more of a 3+ rather than 4*. Room- not very clean, hairs around the bathroom, towels smelt old and musty and no soap provided for hand washing. Mattress’s and pillows hard, especially the sofa bed- my children couldn’t sleep on it because it was so hard. Dining area- clean tidy and modern. Breakfast- cereal, toast, pastries, fruits and meats. Quite limited and definitely needs more choice. Cooked breakfast nice and no complaints. Dinner/Tea- Good choice and because we went Bed, breakfast and dinner we had £20 per adults and £10 per child to use towards dinner. My husband had the steak and he said it was great. I had Lasagne and it was ok, bit greasy, it came with a salad which was wilted and greasy tasting chips. Son had Macaroni & cheese which was bland and wouldn’t eat it- normally eats everything! Daughter sausage, beans & chips which she ate all of except chips. Glad we didn’t have to pay full price for this! Staff were really friendly and even though the food times were a bit slow, they were very attentive.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, very clean and the staff are very friendly and always on hand should you need anything. The rooms have beautiful views and are very clean and comfortable. The bar and dining area is tidy and clean and just very pleasurable to eat in. The hotel isn’t very far from everything and we had the best nights sleep we have had in a long time as the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Definitely would love to stay here again in the future.

Dont be put off by the look of the hotel outside! Inside is clean warm and welcoming. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. The food was fabulous! Well done Humber Royal.

Do not be put off when you arrive, certainly the outside woodwork could do with a bit of TLC but once inside the staff, food and prices are good. No complaints whatsoever with the room. Our second visit and wouldn’t hesitate booking again!

Warm and friendly staff which added to our very pleasant stay. The room was spacious and included everything we could need with small gestures which gave that personal touch. Lovely. Thank you. 😊

Lovely friendly staff , although manager on morning duty got to involved and messed up my breakfast order resulting in waiting nearly an hour and making me late for work

fantastic 2 night stay, great king size double bed, great views over golf course and even had a 3 foot fan in room, would def stay again when visiting friends at Haven 12 min drive away, no breakfast as sarnie at mackies does me fine

Great hotel for working away

Had a lovely 2 nights at this hotel. The hotel does not look particularly good from the outside but inside was no problem. The room was clean,large, and the bed was comfortable . We had a 3rd floor room overlooking the golf coarse. Staff very nice and helpfull. We did not eat here as we thought it was a little expensive for breakfast £14.95. There are cheaper eating places close by ie a garden centre. On th negative side we were asked to pay £100 security deposit against any future purchases during our stay. This was was taken out of my bank account immediately. I raised concern about this with reception but was told this was company policy. I was not aware of this when booking. I was not happy with this procedure. Please be aware. Otherwise nice hotel and a pleasant few days in Grimsby

Built in the 60s yes , but still internally well looked after! Rooms facing golf course with balcony, good quality food with good portions at reasonable prices with friendly staff! We have booked again for next month 🤗

Although the hotel looks dated from the outside, the rooms are comfortable with basic facilities needed for a short stay. The food was excellent, we had an evening meal and a cooked breakfast, both were delicious. The staff are amazing and very friendly. Well done

We like the hotel but it’s beginning to look a little tired in some areas. One light in the room was not working and not enough lighting in the room overall.

Brilliant hotel, wasn’t up to the usual standard however one of the staff members, Callum went above and beyond to rectify! Brilliant hotel and brilliant staff too. 10/10 and would absolutely recommend. The tiny problem we had definitely didn’t put us off coming again. Lovely place and super friendly too! :)

Be prepared for an extra £100 deposit to be paid upon check in. I’m always dubious about that as when it happens I’ve always had to chase for weeks for the refund. There is no mention of it at all on Hotels.com or in the booking small print. The hotel itself is lovely, looks tired outside but the rooms are nice and comfortable. I also had a nice balcony. As I was staying on business, I was hoping to get a good nights sleep however the room next door were partying all night playing loud music, singing and banging on the walls resulting in no sleep at all. I tried calling reception but no answer. I didn’t try the food but it the menu looked good. Staff on check in were lovely.

The outside of this property does not do it justice as it's rather shabby But the inside is perfect, clean, organised and stylish, the staff are lovely, the views are amazing from the balconies. Highly recommend. enjoyed our stay.

It was a good stay

Ideal for visiting family and friends in the area

Stayed at the Humber many times. The breakfast provided is gradually getting worse with the buffet now just ok. I stayed for 2 nights, they had run out of Ketchup on the first morning and none at all on second. It’s a small detail but suggests a gradual decline. Only the room rate makes it worth using I will probably go over the road to the pub for breakfast in future.

The property is near to relations, so is convenient. It could do with a wider menu.
