The most uncomfortable part of the hotel was that it used too much technology to control everything. Getting up to use the bathroom in the night made it hard just to turn on the light. Otherwise beautiful. Toilet did not work.

Great hotel. Service was amazing and very personable. Much more upscale than I was expecting.

Be warned there are stairs to get up to the hotel and then no elevator but the trek is worth it. The room was very nicely laid out, even has a remote for all the lights. Breakfast was good and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Location is a few blocks from the waterfront and right in the center of downtown. Surrounded by shopping and restaurants, and just a 5 minute walk to the cathedral. We travel with our rolling luggage, which was very difficult with all the steps and were exhausted ending with the flights of stairs in the hotel (no elevator). Check in reception was pleasant and helpful, spoke great English. We felt a warm welcome by being presented with a welcome drink of choice. We ate a late lunch and breakfast at the hotel, and was disappointed in the service, particularly with wait timing, but the food was delicious and worth the amount paid. If you need parking, call ahead and reserve. We we stuck paying a meter for the duration of our stay which was an inconvenience. Lastly, the room was exactly as pictured. A full queen sized bed, smart room with a tablet to control the lights, tv, etc. A modern bathroom, stocked mini bar, desk, and extras like a toiletry kit and sewing kit. Room was perfect and comfortable minus the low functioning AC unit. Being from the US we were pretty hot and would have liked the room to get more cool.

Too bad I could stay only for 1 night because this hotel is absolutely fantastic. I enjoy every second! Its a brand new place, opened in March, only 6-7 rooms because its a small ancient building in the very heart of Šibenik. They pay attention to the smallest details which makes everything so simple. Breakfast is also perfect, served on top of a piano in the lobby, but you can take your plates and enjoy the food on the open terrace outside. Be sure to do that! During registration you are also served some welcome drinks. Nothing like a cold local craft beer - for free - while the outside temperature is 36C. :) Also, my room had a sea view, but even without that, I would like to spend much more time in this fabulous small hotel. Looking forward to my next visit to Šibenik!

Sibenik was an intermediate stop while my wife and I were hopping the Croatian coast. But it turns out to be an unexpected surprise. The town square is small but authentic, and the locals were friendly. The staff at the King were terrific, and they seemed to genuinely enjoy helping us. The hotel itself seems to be recently renovated, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and even a bit luxurious.As with all Croatian coast towns, you will have to walk a few minutes to the hotel. But if you are planning a trip to the area, I recommend this place. Drop in, enjoy the staff at the hotel, have a drink on the square outside and watch the locals pass by.
