Extremely loud. The service was excellent. The beds were okay, but you could tell they were not new. Hotel itself was fine, but the location was terrible. Outside of the hotel was extremely filthy and loud.

Nice hotel. Bathroom could have been cleaner. The toilet seat & seat cover was not attached very well, and was loose & moved around when sitting down. The air conditioning took several days to cool the room off, but was working correctly as we had the maintenance man come to check on it. He was very helpful & kind. The noise canceling machine was very useful for the loud partying all night & into the early morning hours. The noise was still heard, but the machine made it easier to sleep.

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER!! Please don’t go to this hotel if you pretend to relax and sleep. Its located in the PARTY STREET so noise is brutal until 5am - they even have a disco in the rooftop so you cannot sleep nothing!!!!

The receptionist by Check in seemed to be annoyed from the job. Also the Communication about the offers and services was not available. Environment was Good, the rooms as well.

Had to extend stay two different times during a one week stay. Last two days received no house keeping service. Second day I extended I advised them no one came and to please make sure they come today. Come back that evening and no house keeping yet again. Ask front desk and they said everyone was gone and nothing they can do. I explained this was second day in a row and asked to switch rooms. First she said they were sold out, I checked online and they were not. So I asked again and she said there’s nothing she could do. Several hundred a night for no house keeping even after they were made aware and all I got offered was a free drink at the bar. Asked for a manager and there wasn’t one and she wouldn’t contact one. Poor training and poor service. I’ve stayed here numerous times recently for work and was extremely disappointed by the handling of the situation. I was told since I booked through Hotels.com it was basically my fault they cannot do anything, the previous night I booked through their app. Never been treated like this, like I was a lesser guest because I booked a lower rate than I could through the Marriot app.

3rd floor on 5th avenue. room is small " European" as they say . nice enough but right above a night club pumping bass music until 3am . couldn't be worse. no warning whatsoever or choice given at the front desk. incredible

In the center of Gaslamp district!

The location was amazing

If you’re looking for a quiet room, this is not the place for you. The bar on the upper floor and the poolside bar have music going from11am until 1am in the morning. The hotel offers ear plugs or noise machines, but if you need those to sleep it won’t be relaxing. Overall the property is great, the staff was friendly, housekeeping was provided every day without have to ask, and the lobby bar is convenient. But with no mention in the hotel details of the dance club on the upper floor, we weren’t prepared to have to wait up until after 1 am to even try to sleep. If you are a night owl, then this place will work for you, but if not I suggest you find another hotel that doesn’t have a club in it.

Very nice and clean Hotel with friendly staff. Everything is within walking distance. Lots of eateries close by as well as Convention Center and Petco Park. Definitely would stay there again next time in San Diego.

Loved the bar and rooftop bar/ restaurant. I typically stay near the beach, but I felt that this day was so convenient being downtown next to all of the nightlife.

I did like how it was in the center for gaslamp. It is extremely noisy so be aware of that. The lights in our room kept flickering on and off and tryin got get ahold of the front desk was difficult since there's only one employee downstairs and she was checking in/out while trying to take everyone's calls. It is hard to find the valet spot if you arrive later in the night - $60/night for parking.

One of the staff let two guys in that they weren’t even had room in this hotel and they cause the fight and also hit a women and staff did not even bother to call cops or manger he just ignore the situation cause who cause the fight it was his friend. I do not recommend this place at all not cause of the night staff but hotel itself it’s good and I hope they get rid of that staff

This was a great hotel with very friendly staff! Rooms were clean and property nice. Only drawbacks were: 5th avenue is closed from 12 PM on and it makes finding the valet in an alternate location difficult and the noise from the clubs on the street. Music was on until 2 o 3 AM.

The air conditioning unit wasn’t working and had to be serviced, the bedroom was clean but the floor and shower were filthy. The valet team was absolutely the best part, their service, care for us, our car, everything was on point. The included breakfast that was paid for in advance was cold, hard, and there were fly’s on the food. The hot breakfast was average. They did not adjust any pricing for the three night stay regardless if we only ate once and asked them I immediately after the first day if we could have that charge removed.

The dinning and atmosphere of the hotel. Convenient area right in the middle of Gaslamp. Beds were comfy and the white noise machine put you right to sleep. One of the best hotels I have stayed at while visiting San Diego and to top is off the hotel staff was amazing!!! Chefs kiss all around.

Pool has pool parties!! Ok, so I picked this hotel based on the pool. Come to find out, Saturday, there was a pool party that was put on by the restaurant. Reservation only. My husband and I got lucky to snag 2 seats at the bar, but we could not use the pool. The party did go to about 2 AM, but the hotel provided ear plugs and sound machine. Hotel bar and patio are great. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Hotel is next to great restaurants.

In a really happening area for nightlife. Great rooftop lounge. Felt safe at all times.
