This property was beautiful, in a quiet area, and a quick 10 minute drive to the city center. The place itself was very clean, comfortable and the views are amazing. This is also in walking distance to a Bonus, coffee shop and a burger place. I highly recommend booking this place if you’re looking! The owners also provided us with a very helpful email on the basics of the house.

The apartment is very beautiful. It is as large as the photos show. The kitchen is, for the most part, well stocked. The washroom is huge, with an amazing shower. The beds are comfortable. There is a washer and dryer in a separate room. Parking is provided. The view was spectacular. The location is good, easy to access the main roads into the older parts of the city and for longer excursions in Iceland.

There are no blackout blinds or curtains on any of the windows. The rooms were never truly dark, even in the middle of the night, due to the poor window coverings. This made sleep quite difficult. In the middle of the winter, this would obviously not be an issue but in early July, this is a real problem. There is no real coffee maker, a simple drip style or one that uses pods, in the kitchen. There is a fancy espresso machine with no instructions and a couple coffee pots that make percolated coffee, if you know how to use them. There is no microwave oven. We did not use the soda stream so cannot comment if it works or not. There is no iron or ironing board. There is no television. We did not travel with laptops so did not have the technology to connect to the speaker system. The outdoor patio has no furniture and needs weeding. The apartment could be a totally amazing place to stay if only a few of these items were included, especially being able to cut the daylight at night. The road next to the building can be quite noisy, but seemed to quiet down at night.

Stunning, well decorated apartment with beautiful views- photos don't really do it justice. Very comfy beds. The best shower I've ever experienced. Great location in a village with an interesting church, an art museum and a library, as well as some shops all within walking distance. Well equipped kitchen. Traditional espresso machine; made great coffee. Easy access to Reykjavik and Golden Circle. Close to Perlan museum too, which was great for a rainy day. Highly recommend!

Could use a second key and information pack in the house, but this was minor. Those with mobility issues or with heavy suitcases may struggle going up the stairs to the apartment...but you are rewarded with fantastic views and beautiful sunsets!
