Modern and updated inside with many beds, a fun game area, and plenty of bathrooms
for a crowd! This property was the perfect place for our big group of 12 in town to celebrate an A&M graduation. It was both close to the A&M campus and The Strand which made it a convenient place to stay. Russel was extremely communicative and was always quick to respond, even checking in to make sure our stay was going well. There were a few items that were usable but damaged (leaky coffee machine, bunks in the game room were squeaky and wobbly, a couple faucets usable but loose). Other than these smaller issues and tight parking for our two cars in the rear, the house was perfect for our purposes and an overall good value for all it offered.

Rained everyday of our stay. The property was spacious enough for all 9 of us to be inside and not drive each other crazy! Kitchen was well appointed. All rooms were as advertised, clean and spacious

I did like that it had lots of beds, however the house was not very clean. The parking is a joke and the house only had one tv in the living room. The host was not accommodating when it came to early checkin, even though the housekeeper had somewhat cleaned the house

The property was dirty, it was not as described, it was not large enough for twenty people, except for spots in beds. Many of the listed amenities were not on the property. The house was right on the street, the outside of the property had broken glass outside, no 4th bathroom, no fire pit, no playground, no garden, the parking situation was horrible and I felt like we would hit the house next door, every time we left the property. The only couch was old and too small and there was no dining table for a family and the pool had sand all in it. The stinking trash cans were outside the front door, two faucets were hang by a water line or something. There was no curb appeal and the porch and windows and doors were dirty. The last night our grandson got wet from rain dripping from the ceiling and rain came in the living room window and the carpet got wet. All of the bunk beds had terrible mattresses and were squeaky and our daughter had to sleep on the couch after the first night. The stairs were steep and dirty and there were only 10 of us and we were on top of each other. Such a disappointment for our once a year family trip. No response about how our host it going to make it right and it looks like VRBO does not care either.

We got there. Everything was good of course I was concerned about the weather called the host. She told me everything was fine that we were still good to go so me and my family got the road. When we arrive to the house The front of the house had four trash cans, two of them was full of trash, hanging out horrible flies everywhere Maggots everywhere and it was smelling horrible. We got in the house. Everything looked good. Shower was a mess black hair all over the shower. The storm came Monday morning. We ended up losing power stay out of power ended up sleeping in our cars Monday night. One of the rooms upstairs was leaking water from the ceiling called the hose to tell her about it. She told me to send over pictures which I did and she was going to send a handyman over. No one came. It was HOT none of the windows would open up on the house. It’s like they were shut, sealed which that is a hazard. We ended up cutting our trip short. We got there Sunday and left Tuesday morning.

The property is nice with a pool, large bedrooms and kitchen, and 4 bathrooms. It was great for 6 adults and would be for a family. I think more seating in the living room would be helpful as there is only the couch. If you have more than 2 cars it can be a problem as you are on a main road. We had a great stay and enjoyed the house and Galveston. Russell was easy to contact and addressed any needs quickly. I highly recommend this house and host.

We had 9 in our group and chose property and size. We walked in and there was a strange odor in the house. We were willing to overlook this. After completing unloading all of our luggage, my daughter and niece came down from one of the bedrooms with fleas crawling all over their feet. I contacted VRBO and within an hour the property owner contacted us with a different property. We were impressed we were given a different location so quickly. We did send pictures showing the fleas we had captured and put in a plastic bag.
Our new location was only 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms so much smaller than the 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms of the original property and was much further away from the historical distract but we made the best of it. Upon returning from our cruise I texted the property owners to ask for a fair refund for the smaller rental and inconvenience. I have waited over a week and still not heard from them.

We had originally booked a home off of Broadway in Galveston so we could be close to the Strand for Mardi Gras festivities but a few days prior to our stay we were informed that there was a mechanical problem with that property and asked if we would mind changing to another house that was managed by the BeachBox group. We agreed to the replacement and it was an upgrade from the price of the original house that we booked even though the location was a ways down the island towards Jamaica beach. We checked in and the house was fantastic and everything was going good until we woke up the first morning to find that the Heat on the first floor wasn’t working and it was about 50 degrees in the house. Long story short, we contacted the property manager and he was able to dispatch a maintenance man out who replaced a faulty thermostat. The rest of our trip was fantastic. I guess the reason I am writing this is because we had several bad things happen on our little vacation, but Russell worked with us to make sure that we were taken Care of and we still have a great time. I think a lot of people would have complained about how their vacation was ruined by unexpected issues and would have drooled over the opportunity to write a scathing review about something out of anyone’s control.Thank you Russell for helping make our trip memorable. Five stars

No complaints about the house. Very clean and plenty of room for everyone. Only issue was the leaky coffee pot, we ran through quite a few paper towels cleaning up after it.

A cute little place, spread out, slept a lot and the added game/bunk room was a nice touch to kill some time!! Overall our stay was short, but perfect place to crash!! No complaints at all!!

We stayed overnight here before our cruise out of Galveston Port. None of us had ever been to Galveston, and I can't say we were impressed with the area - at least the area the house was in.
But the biggest issue we had - was a big HUGE one:
The backdoor to the house has a glass paned door. One of the panes right above the lock, had no glass and had been duct-taped with some cardboard- It appeared as though someone had broken into the place!
Right before I starting writing this review, I took a look back at the listing/previous reviews, and I realized the broken door had been an issue for another guest back in OCTOBER!
Our group was so uncomfortable with the lack of security, they would not sleep downstairs (right next to that door), and they made sure there was a barricade against it before going to bed.
Bottom line is- I would 100% find out if they've fixed or plan to ever fix/replace the door, before considering staying there.
The only other thing I noticed that I would say needed addressing is the downstairs master bathroom's shower was a literally a trickle of water.
We did order take out from Mario's and had great pizza!

We enjoyed staying at this place. Only one problem is this house just close to signal, there is only one parking spot in front. Overall the stay at this place is good for group to stay.

Overall it was great. When I arrived at 4:00 check in time, I had to wait about 15 minutes to get the code to the house from owner. Also, the back window was broken and covered with cardboard and duct tape and glass was all over the back porch. We did not feel safe because someone tried to break in. Someone could have ripped off the cardboard off and just walked into the house while we were there. Also, when you walk around bare foot in the house, your feet are black on the bottoms. The game room was great for kids but the large video games were not attached to the wall. That is a hazard for small children.

It was very spacious and cozy for all of us on our family vacation. The property manager was very responsive to one of our requests and took care of it right away. It is very well decorated and our kids loved the space because of the game room and bunk beds. We made some wonderful memories. Thank you for taking care of us on our trip. Would book again

My group and I rented this property and it's sister property right next door for our trip to Galveston. We had a larger group and it was difficult to find accommodations for all of us, until we found these properties. We are all so grateful we did! Being able to walk directly from one house to another was incredibly convenient, and the proximity of the homes to local restaurants and bars was awesome. There is also a nice sort of conjoined back area between the homes that we could meet up at and hang out. These homes were perfect for us and we had an absolute blast!

This rental property was super close to some awesome restaurants and things to do. We were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to go. The home was clean upon arrival and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This place was perfect for exploring the area by foot. Highly recommended!

This beach house is fantastic! Everything was spotless, and the house is HUGE. Great for a big group or big family.
Our group was in town for a charity event. The event lasted all day, and included an 8 mile island hike. Everyone complimented how amazingly comfortable the mattresses are! Book this place!!
