We had a wonderful 2 weeks staying in the 2 bed apartment. Set in the middle of an olive grove just above Salo, it’s a pretty location and very peaceful. My boys (10 & 12) loved the swimming pool and the apartment has a lovely covered outside seating area. Huge trees provide shade for your sunbed in the garden and there is a hammock, great for relaxing and reading your book. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean with a modern bathroom and air conditioning. There is a BBQ for guests to use, we did find the kitchen utensils for cooking etc were limited, however a quick chat to the owners and they provided the items we asked for. The owners, Aideen and Diago live upstairs and are the nicest hosts. They provided olive oil from their grove and eggs from their chickens and are always on hand to answer any questions or just have a chat. Salo itself was lovely, a really nice 2km promenade around the lake with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. We found it to be a good base for exploring the many other pretty towns around the lake (definitely recommend Limone, so pretty!). It’s just under an hour to the theme parks and just over an hour to Verona. A car is essential if staying here. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here.

My Family had a great relaxing stay at Aideen's property. The accommodation had everything we needed and a great base to start from each day. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

Lovely little place, set back from lake, but only minutes from all the action in Salo. Super friendly owners, lovely apartment and grounds. Would definitely return!

We had a wonderful week here-it's a beautiful and secluded setting but conveniently located just a short drive from all facilities. You can also walk in 20-30mins to the lake front. The weather was glorious all week and despite it being 30 degrees outside everyday, we were cool and comfortable in the house both day and night-even with the windows closed. It's a spacious property with privacy should you require and it had all you would need in a self catering property. Our children loved the freedom of the pool and gardens and really enjoyed playing with the animals! Aideen was friendly and helpful-she even provided candles for our daughters birthday cake! We recommend this property for those of you looking for a peaceful and relaxing break in beautiful surroundings, with the tourist areas within driving distance if you want them.

This is a delightful apartment with attentive hosts, the apartment is well equipped with every thing you need. Even though there is an apartment next door it is still private. The surrounding areas are wonderful to visit

First time using Owners Direct and we feel like we came up trumps with this holiday hangout. With 2 toddlers it was the perfect place, safe for the kids and they just loved being able to wander about with the chickens and dog and other pets. In a beautiful spot and nice to be able to get away from the 'busyness' of the Lake front. Apartment was cool, very clean and homely. Hosts made us feel immediately relaxed and at home. Definitely recommend this to others. Thank you!

We have just spent a lovely family holiday at the Margherita apartment. The location was perfect - peaceful and relaxing yet near enough to Salo for shopping, eating out and visiting the lake. The apartment was spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything we needed - the owners even kindly supplied some of their own produce including a bottle of delicious olive oil, a great pity we only had hand luggage so were unable to purchase some to take home! A big 'thank you' to Maria & family (Margherita) and Aideen & family (Lavanda) for making us feel so welcome. Would certainly recommend this property and hope to return.

My boyfriend and I visited the property in early June and we had a fantastic time. The owners were extremely welcoming and were more than happy to help with any queries or issues that we had. Aideen even surprised us with a basket of fresh courgettes and a bowl of rasberries during our stay! The location was perfect as it was only a short walk down to the lake and we were surrounded by beautiful scenery. We didn't hire a car as we were more than happy to walk to and from the lake but if we were coming back particularly late one night a taxi was only about €7 or €8! The apartment itself was extremely clean and tidy and furnished with everything you could possibly need. The open plan kitchen and living area was spacious and modern and we utilised this a lot during our stay because we did a lot of cooking. The owners even provided us with a bottle of olive oil and balsamic from the grove (definitely make use of the Olive Oil it was delicious - I even brought a bottle home with me). The rest of the apartment was also very comfortable and nicely furnished and remained really cool despite the hot temperatues thanks to air conditioning and shutters. My boyfriend and I are definitely hoping to come back and stay at this property again in the future. It is in a great location, the apartment is lovely and the owners are so welcoming. I would definitely recommend this property!
