We live here in town & just wanted a place for all our friends & family to stay when they came for our daughter’s hs graduation. We rented for a week & had about 10 people in the house on most of the nights with extra beds. The multiple levels make it easy for those that want to go to bed early to do so w/o forcing the rest to have to quiet down too much. The kitchen was well appointed w/quality pots & pans & dishes. All the beds were comfy (twin mattresses could be a little softer, but fine for kids). The fire pit & grill were perfect. We will definitely book again if we need another beach house

We had a great trip! This house was perfect for our family group. The owners communicated with us and were very helpful during our entire stay. This is a large charming older cottage perfectly situated between the inner coastal waterway and the ocean with beautiful views of the sunset. The interior makes you feel as though you have stepped inside a coastal magazine. Thank you for allowing us to stay and make great memories!

I booked this on a whim and was very pleased with the accommodations. Our group of five adults and two kids under 7 had plenty of space to spread out. The house is a short walk to the beach and a 20 min walk to downtown. We did not have luck catching crab at the crabbing dock, but did catch a few elsewhere. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house to anyone interested.

The view of the marsh from the deck is gorgeous. Lots of great sunset photos. The path to the crabbing dock could use some maintenance and the dock itself could use some TLC. Multiple dolphin sightings from the deck. The part of the beach the access took us to was beautiful and not insanely crowded even during the week of Memorial Day. If you have to cart a ton of stuff to the beach, expect to add a block to your walk. We had a beach wagon to carry all of the shade tents, chairs, and umbrellas. There's no place to store your beach stuff on the front side of the house - the beach access side, so you have to walk around the block or carry your full wagons up a set of stairs and down another. The outdoor shower is great. Roomy, excellent water pressure and has hot water too! Air conditioning in the master and on the main level worked like a champ. Ground level got a bit muggy. The twin mattresses feel like they're only meant for young light children who can sleep anywhere. We were a group of 10 adult women and nobody in a twin bed slept comfortably. The other beds were very comfortable, but housekeeping needs to make sure the sheets they use are the right size for the bed. The bottom sheet in the master kept popping off the corners. The internet was quite spotty. Even the main TV kept disconnecting. We did report the issue to Vacasa but it never improved, even after rebooting the router. Also, the remote to the TV in the master was missing rendering it useless. Reported to Vacasa and never got a replacement. The owners do provide Netflix and Hulu, so if the internet is working you have access to those streaming apps. The porch light was on the fritz - reported to Vacasa - and wasn't fixed while we were there. Seems like there was an entire circuit out because the outside outlets weren't functional either. There was a housekeeping issue in the basement where some candy had been left under a bed. The ladies sharing that room felt like they were camping. Vacasa offered to send someone, but they decided that it wasn't worth the hassle. The kitchen is quite well stocked - except for forks. Some smaller spoons would be great too. Careful with the stove knobs. They move very easily. The only major issue was lack of room for our groceries. All cupboards and pantries are pretty full. Love the fridge! It kept everything nice and cold. Having the ice maker as an amenity would be a great addition. The living room is a good space for everyone to hang out . The couches are well worn and could use a restuff or replace. Not super comfortable for the length of a whole movie or two. Overall, vacation isn't about the house, it's about the people you spend it with. This house really could be great with some minor improvements.

We really enjoyed this home. It was convenient to a lot of things and only a short distance for downtown Charleston. Everything was clean and well-kept! There was plenty of room for our group of 10!

This is the second time we have rented About Time. We found the house to be light filled, comfortably furnished and very spacious. The location is great for the beach and downtown Folly. It's a quiet area as well. The house was very clean. We would recommend renting About Time and will likely return next year.

We loved the space and feel of the home, and the location is great. Short walk to the beach (public access across the street) and a view of the marsh with the crabbing dock. Beautiful views looking out the kitchen towards the marsh. It's a quiet part of the island. A mile or so from the restaurants and shops, which is a short golf cart or bike ride. The house has wonderful space to spread out with all your family and guests. We loved the "beach house" feel. The only issue was the WiFi, which did not reach everywhere, and the cable on the main floor did not work. Hopefully that will be rectified.

Easy process,nice house very clean, plenty of space for large group

Our favorite spot was the main living area. Main floor TV good. Kitchen well equipped. Plenty clean towels & sheets. Liked having bikes, grill, games, etc. House could use a deep clean. Time for fixing wobbly lamps, changing light bulbs, repairing broken blinds, replacing loose register in Kitchen floor, dripping faucets, & dusting those fans. Never did get internet to work in 3rd floor bedroom.

This is a great house for a large group. It has an above-average kitchen for a beach rental, lots of games, comfy beds, nice TVs and is a quick walk to the beach. Bring bug spray because the mosquitoes are intense, especially under the house where the outdoor shower is. Overall, we had a great week at About Time and were sad to leave.

Great overall experience! Place was overall generally clean for a beach house. Beds were comfy and ample seating in the main living space! Great walk to the beach, the pathway was so beautiful to the beach we took pictures!! Went for my bachelorette weekend and it was a great low key place, that we could relax. The only thing is that the “queen” bed downstairs didn’t not seem like a queen but more of a full bed but it was still really comfortable!!

We had the best time! The location is perfect! A short walk to a quiet, beautiful beach, a short drive into a quaint town and a private, cute, home with a deck to watch the sunset. We were up every morning to catch the beach sunrise. We were able to gather at the large table for games and food. It was a perfect home for our large family to do various and different activities. The king beds were so comfortable but there were some twin beds that weren’t as nice. We had younger kids on them so it still worked. I highly recommend this space!

We were in town for a wedding and shared this house with three families. The nine of us were able to fit and move around the house quite comfortably. The house is well appointed and suited our needs perfectly. I would absolutely rent this house again.

Our group of family and friends enjoyed our stay at “About Time”. The house was roomy, cozy, and perfectly set up for our stay on Folly Beach!

We loved the location right across from beach access ~ house was supplied well ~ a quick bike ride to shops/restaurants.

Nice house; a little older so some things aren't quite up to par. We had several issues from screens being ripped, to windows and doors not locking to the patio umbrella being broken. The house also had a musty smell that air freshners couldn't get rid of. It is in a good location and a nice house with spread out bedrooms if that is what you are looking for. Just needs some updates to make it perfect

Well stocked kitchen. Nice decor. Clean linen. Beach chairs and umbrellas were available for use. Great location with super easy access to the beach. Plenty of books and board games for entertainment. Checkin was easy. We got access two hours ahead of checkin time. This was helpful because we were working that day. The rental company staff were considerate and friendly. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back. The master bedroom upstairs needs a blackout curtain, especially during the summer months when the sun rises early and light streams in as early as 5.30am!! Better shower with a firm door in the master bathroom will be a plus.

The house is spacious. There was plenty of room for my family, my sisters family and my parents. The beach is so close, a two minute walk. The path to the beach is in front of the house. The kids spent hours at the beach. I would definitely stay there again. Downtown Folly is a quaint beach town.

We stayed at About Time for a week with our family of 10. It is a beautiful home and decorated in a way that makes you take a deep breath and relax the moment you walk in. The many windows in the living room area make use of the natural light and brings the feeling of the outdoors to the inside of the home. The main level living room area has lots of seating for a large group of people. It was great to have board games and books available for use. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out and not feel crowded. The bedrooms were set up to allow for privacy and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Four of the five bedrooms have an additional seating area that is quite nice for reading or for taking a few moments to yourself. One of the two bedrooms on the lower level has an additional room connected by a doorway that has a daybed that easily can be used as a fifth sleeping space. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to make and serve meals. There are even marshmallow skewers for roasting marshmallows outside at the firepit. The light and fan switches in the house are labeled as well as the drawers and cupboards in the kitchen which makes it easy to find things. There is a path to the beach right across the street and it is only a short two or three minute walk to the beach. There is a great crabbing dock across the street that is perfect for watching the sunset. Watching the little crabs is good entertainment also. We loved the outside equipment available to use (a bonus surprise as we did not know ahead of time these things were there)- six beach chairs, a beach umbrella and a beach canopy, sand toys and floaty tubes, a couple of skimmer boards, and even a couple of bicycles). The outside shower is roomy and has a bench and a door which is great if you need to help younger children rinse off after the beach or you want privacy. We had a wonderful and relaxing time at the beach house and definitely recommend this vacation home.
