We were very happy with our stay. We asked for ocean view and corner room and got exactly that. Breakfast was good but a few more choices would be nice. The facility was in a great location, clean and updated and right accross the street from the beach. The pizza place nextdoor was very good.

Hotel didn't give us ocean view we had as view an emergency room and on the if you take your head out you could see the ocean Room didn't have closet, didn't have microwave, cockroaches at our balcony, very tiny room eventhough we had a king bed. We had to place our clothes on a bench they had in the room. Our bathroom vent didn't work. No room cleaning. Very bad experience, never coming back there

The room was smaller than expected with no closet or dresser. I understand the room would only be cleaned every other day however, we stayed from Monday to Friday and the room was never cleaned or fresh towels provided.

Paid way too much for this room… even though we had a balcony corner room, it definitely wasn’t worth the price we paid for it.

Checkout time is posted in the room as 12pm but the hotel staff harassed us to leave by 11am. We planned accordingly to what we saw in the room and we were rushed out. Staff was not professional about it even though the room door says 12pm.

Great one night stay before our cruise out of Galveston

Hotel and room were exceptionally clean and comfortable. It’s a fairly new property so everything was modern and in great condition. Bed was comfortable, and I really enjoyed the walk in shower. I was unaware there was a fridge in the room because it wasn’t stated on the room info that there was, so that was a pleasant surprise. No microwave in room, but there is one for use in the lobby by the snacks. Balcony and ocean view were excellent as well. Only cons are the balcony door and the window are not very good at blocking out noise. It was very rainy during my stay and it could hear it hitting the metal chairs as well as hear all of the traffic/loud motorcycles passing by on the wet road. The bathroom sink in my particular room was also a bit clogged and kept filling up when I would use it. Overall it was a pleasant stay though, and I would definitely book again.

Had a room with a balcony and an ocean view. Could hear the road noise through the door and also as the wind blew- made a whistling sound. We tolerated that but the part that really got us was the large breed dog next door that would bark incessantly while the owner was away after dark. Called the front desk and was told not much they could do about it. The room was tidy. Only had 3 pillows for a king size bed, which I thought was odd. Got another from the front desk. Thermostat worked but if you weren’t moving in the room, it shut down. Especially while you were sleeping. And didn’t expect to pay $15/day for parking. Overall, I’ll be staying elsewhere in the future.

Over charged on rooms, showers are so slippery we fell down, no ice buckets, no place for service dog to go potty but by door and bags out in parking lot, not given the room I paid for check those ocean view rooms! Two hotels in one ??? over crowded by cruise goers! If you phobia well it's crowded, they can't keep up with drinks or coffee! We bought stuff to clean our own room! Not enough pillows! door SLAM watch you HANDS and FEET and children ALAMS WAKE YOU EVERY MORNING!!!! Supose it's for Cruise GOERS

It was a great experience. Beds were not to comfy but overall a nice stay.

Our trip was great! We really enjoyed staying at Tru by Hilton. We will be staying again for sure.

We enjoyed our stay. The bed/pillows were comfortable and the AC worked great! It could have been cleaned a little better. The bathrooms sink backed up every time we used it and there was hair on the shower floor. Overall, it as a good deal for the price!

The hotel charges $15 a day for their own large private parking lot which is ridiculous. It’s not like the hotel is in a major city with limited parking. The check in staff were on their cell phones every time we passed. They had 2 water jugs with fruit in the lobby. The jugs were stopped up by all the fruit and not giving any water. There were cups all over. The water was only out one day of our 4 day stay. The front desk staff should have seen the mess and either cleaned it or called someone. But they were too busy talking to each other or being on their phones. Pet friendly-there were dogs everywhere! The hallways smell musty and like wet dog. If you have allergies or are afraid of dogs this is not the place for you. The layout of the room is awful. No microwave, no dresser or drawers or closet. You get a hanging bar over the mini fridge to hang any clothes. You have to leave your suitcase closed in order to walk around the room. Not a good value for the price.

They charge you for parking per night. There isn’t a microwave in the room. For the price of the room I’d expect more from them as well as them to come clean and or bring towels everyday

We didnt know about the $15 parking charge until after booking the room. Its not listed in the amenities on the website when reading about what they offer. Beware of sites that say parking available that means a charge will be incurred. The front desk staff are not friendly or helpful at all. They know there are no ice buckets in the rooms so why not offer one at the time of check-in. Also don't just hand me unpackaged cups, i dont know if your hands are clean being that the staff member are touching different credit cards and sniffling as well. I will say this, I won't be back here again. Holiday Inn Express is where I normally book my hotel stays and I will not use Tru again.

Large parking lot but had to pay for parking every day, very noisy, had to call front desk several times. Otherwise it was ok.

So much fun. Convenient to the beach and restaurants. We had a balcony room where u had a ocean view. Clean and the staff was so nice.

We were surprised to find that they charge for parking when they have their own lot. The parking for us was very far from the front entrance. The pool was very small since it is shared by two hotels. Trash by the pool was overflowing and not emptied all day. We booked for ocean view and our balcony faced the car port roof over the lobby entrance. They have cold water and cups in the lobby that were empty and not refilled although the outside temperature was over 95 degrees. We also asked for a late checkout on Tuesday and even though the hotel was not at all busy we were told that Hilton doesn't do late checkout. We would have gladly paid. They also charge $50 fie early checkin but no late checkout. The fee for pets is also non refundable and $75 with a 2 per limit. We live in Houston and visit Galveston several times a year and we wanted to try this location. Probably won't be our choice for future trips.

Did not like that it was pet friendly. Hallways were nasty hair in the pool etc. loud noises at night.
